Very mixed experience at this hotel.
The room is large and very clean, nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. It was very well cleaned and maintained.
However, it feels outdated and strangely empty at the same time. The space is huge but poorly furnished and lacks warmth
The light behind the headboard heats it up a lot, to the point where it becomes uncomfortable. In the bathroom, the shower seals are in poor condition, allowing water to leak and creating puddles on the floor. Water pressure changes constantly, as does the temperature, which makes showering unpleasant (imagine the pain when you have long hair…)
The biggest downside is the staff, who were extremely unfriendly and somehow we felt at one point they were making fun of us.
The man at the reception repeated us when we checked-in, like 3 times that it is forbidden to smoke in the rooms, almost scolding us like we are little kids. I know it’s unpleasant to have people that don’t respect rules, but hey, there’s a way of saying it and chewing it out like that ain’t the best way of doing it, especially when we just stepped the foot inside the hotel.
You constantly feel like you are bothering them, even when simply buying something from the small lobby. On the positive side, the mini-market style lobby is quite nice and convenient.
Breakfast is good and filling, but nothing special considering the price. The gym is disappointing: a very small room with only a treadmill, a few kettlebells, limited equipment, and a strong musty smell.
Overall, the value for money is very poor. The only real highlight is the location, which is excellent, everything is within walking distance.
