Nestled near the Aare river, this laid-back hotel features unpretentious rooms, an Italian eatery, and a cocktail bar, all a stroll from the train station.
We booked two nights at the Hey Hotel and had a room in the “Guest House” section. The Guest House is essentially an annex across the alley from the main hotel and is a block of rooms in a multi-story building. The distance between the main hotel and the “Guest House” is only a few meters. The main hotel has a nice bar that overlooks a little square of restaurants. There is a local bus stop right in the front of the Guest House and overall, this is a super convenient location. |The room was adequate but nothing great. Everything worked, and it was quiet. Not much breeze due to the layout. Construction was occurring all around but didn’t start until later in the morning, so there was no disturbance from that work.|There is a self-serve laundry just down the street and a small touristy beer hall nearby. This hotel is closer to Interlaken West Station than Interlaken Ost station, but both are within walking distance for most people. It is a great central location and priced a bit below much of the competition. The Harder Klum funicular is close by and there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. I would recommend this hotel to friends and I would gladly stay there again.

We chose this hotel as it had good reviews on the booking site and, fr the most part it was good. However, I do not think I have ever stayed in such a tiny room and with such dreadful air conditioning - the room was like an oven, even with it on constantly. we had a room which overlooked a side street, with a tiny balcony and did not get more than two hours sleep each night as it was so hot. We did ask for it to be looked at, and they said it was working fine, but please be aware of this when booking during the summer months. The breakfast was okay, medicore, and again stifling hot in the restaurant. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in out of 5 during our trip and by far the one which we felt offered the least. I would imagine the pricing is due to the popularity of the area it is in. Staff were perfunctory, but not particularly helpful or friendly.

Just checked out of the hotel. Summary: if you want to stay at a hostel and pay 5 star rates this may be the place for you. Stayed here during euro 2024. For starters: in spite of multiple complaints tv did not work during entire stay. No connection in 2 rooms. Second: no ac. You have read this before. Third: incompetent staff. Came down early to see my folio to checkout and not be held up for our on bound transport. Receptionist said could only be done after take luggage out and we hand over our key cards but that folio would be ready. It was not. Spent 15 minutes waiting then as multiple people tried to print my invoice. I was handed other peoples invoices. I then had to run out of hotel to catch train with no invoice in hand and no record of how much the hotel may have miscalculated my bill by (given general issues … highly likely). Overall if you just want a shower and roof over your head consider staying here. Otherwise avoid at all costs

This is a mixed review of a hotel which I would describe overall as average. |On balance, the hotel is well located and centrally located in Interlaken. Furthermore, the front desk service is helpful. Of particular note, one of the team personally went to get me a rollaway bed after I expressed my concerns about the bunk bed. We were in the Family Fortress (4 of us) and the storage space was adequate. The balcony was also sizeable. Towels were plentiful and bed linen was comfortable. There is a launderette right next door. ||However, what needs addressing in this hotel is the WiFi. We checked in and could not log on any of our 4 Devices. Front desk explained this was an ongoing issue WiFi and Apple devices, but that in the morning it may be resolved. In reality I think what was meant that once it became quieter that we may actually get online. This happened around midnight when others got off. The WiFi was patchy thereafter- with insufficient bandwidth to support streaming. This is not acceptable in a 4 star hotel and needs to be addressed by the management team. It’s not the fault of front desk. This was a terrible first impression. ||Finally, the overall hotel I think suffers from its over stylised website. It’s fine - but not as fancy as it looks on the website.

We stayed here last week and were VERY disappointed. They claim to have AC which is why we chose this hotel, there is NO AC! You do have a thermostat on the wall but it doesn't do anything. We were so uncomfortable and unable to sleep. The room was not clean with hair left in the shower and on the floor. Another reviewer said it felt like a hostel and I agree!! Front desk staff are rude and do nothing for you.|You can find better, don't waste your money on this place.

Very close to Interlaken West with modern facilities. Easy to walk to from the West train station. Far away from the East train station. Showers in bathroom were not designed well and water went everywhere. So much so that the baseboards around the area were decaying from the water. The hotel also did not have A/C and was needed during a hot summer day.

The only acceptable thing about this place was the location.|Everything else was an absolute disaster. There is zero value in staying here. |For close to six hundred dollars for two nights, we got "Guest house", which is in shady building at the back alley of the otherwise decent looking hotel.|First shock was there was no aircon, no fridge in the room. Just a standing fan that was as loud as a jet engine. I had to go to reception because the phone didn't work and they just blatantly announced there is no aircon there, handed me a different fan for me to carry to my room. That was 'the service, the solution'. The wifi was extremely slow, but very often dropping completely.|This was a daylight robbery and no value for money.

The Rooms were lovely and clean|There was a jug/kettle which was FANTASTIC and meant that you could sit at the window and have a cuppa.|I was there 2 days and they came and swapped out all the towels which was a nice touch.|Right in the centre of town.
