City Hotel Thessaloniki

I recently stayed at City Hotel Thessaloniki, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the city, just steps away from the seaside, shopping streets, cafés, and all major attractions. If you want a hotel that allows you to explore Thessaloniki on foot, this is truly the ideal place. The staff deserve a special mention. Every single employee I interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Their level of service made me feel truly welcomed. They handle everything with professionalism and a warm smile, which really makes a difference during a stay. The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional. My room, as well as all the common areas, were spotless throughout my entire stay. The design is modern, fresh, and very comfortable, creating a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Overall, City Hotel provides a wonderful combination of comfort, cleanliness, top-notch service, and a fantastic location. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thessaloniki — whether for business or vacation. I will definitely choose it again on my next trip.

They claim the rooms to be 23 sqmt but it is hardly 2/3 of that size. We did not but many rooms had climate problems, some complained the room could not be heated and some that it was too hot and they could not cool down. Breakfast was really good. Location is fantastic. Very close to the sea and many bars and restaurants.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel with our dog for four days. The hotel is in the very heart of Thessaloniki, the promenade by the sea is very close, as well as cafes, places for going out, etc. It is an understatement to say that I am delighted with the cleanliness of the hotel and I want to especially praise the women who maintain the rooms, they should definitely increase their salaries!😆They even refilled our teapot with filter tea every morning because we drank a couple of them every day. The breakfast is also phenomenal, the food is very tasty and varied. The employees at the reception are very friendly and are there to help with anything you need, even to replace the battery in the TV remote that doesn't work🙂 We will definitely come again!

It’s a relatively newly renovated hotel located in the city center of Thessaloniki. I can’t speak for the other guests’ rooms, but ours was quite small and had a window facing a light shaft, which meant no fresh air was coming in. I often felt like I couldn’t breathe comfortably. The mattress was excellent, but the pillows were overly puffy and quite firm. If I were to choose this hotel again, it would only be for work-related purposes—relaxation is definitely not its strong point. Additionally, the rooms had no soundproofing. The breakfast was very nice ‘ you pay +2euro for the coffee . Something worth mentioning , the staff was very polite!

City Hotel is the most beautiful hotel in Thessaloniki. To get to the hotel from the airport you can either take a taxi or 01X bus outside the airport during the day or 01N if you arrive at night. The bus cost on €3.60. You can purchase the bus ticket at a kiosk near the bus stop or on the bus itself. From the airport it is about 40 mins bus ride depending on traffic. You'll need to get off at Aristotelous Square and the hotel is about 5 minutes walk. It is near H&M and Bershka shop. Really in a good location for sightseeing, with so many shops, cafes, restaurants, night life, souvenirs and the waterfront. The hotel has beautiful rooms with comfy beds, robes, slippers, complimentary tea and biscuits. The hotel serves the most lovely breakfast in the morning. Their hotel staff are absolutely amazing, the best, exceptional, very polite, friendly and professional. They really make you feel at home. This hotel has everything and is good for business travellers, couples, families and solo travellers. We really had a good stay and cannot wait to return for another stay😀❤❤

I am writing to share my exceptional experience at City Hotel Thessaloniki. The booking was arranged by Tryfonas K from Golden City Star Resort in Perea, Greece, and I was incredibly impressed with the service. Upon my arrival, Iordana D, the Front Office Manager at City Hotel, provided an incredibly warm and energetic welcome. She was kind enough to upgrade my room during check-in. When I mentioned that Tryfonas K had made the booking, she shared that she was his former manager, which instantly explained his outstanding helpfulness in arranging my stay. Iordana's excellent training clearly contributed to his remarkable service. Beyond the seamless check-in, Iordana also offered invaluable guidance on navigating the city, recommending fantastic places to visit and restaurants to try. All of her suggestions proved to be excellent. The hotel itself was perfect: conveniently located near all major attractions, restaurants, and shops. It was modern, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. I highly recommend City Hotel Thessaloniki for anyone visiting the area. I truly believe Iordana is an amazing manager. Her positive energy and willingness to assist made my stay incredibly enjoyable, and it's clear her influence extends to her former staff, like Tryfonas, who is now a star at his own hotel.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and always willing to help with anything we needed. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything on foot. The service throughout our stay was excellent, making the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Stayed here 3 nights while on a pilgrimage tour of Greece with my church group. The location was great being right in the heart of Thessaloniki near the waterfront. Everything from shops, bars and restaurants was within good walking distance. The rooms were also comfortable and we were amused at the motivational quotes plastered on the mirrors in the hallways. Since renovations were being done to the hotel’s restaurant, we ended up having breakfast and dinner at hotels across the street. Despite this, our overall stay at the City was excellent.
