Nice location. Difficult drop off for luggage. Well equipped. Large apartments. Nice coffee with cream and sugar. Extra waters. Would have given 5 stars if WiFi worked better. Dropped or disconnected often.

City Lion was a great choice for our first trip to Crete. The location on the edge of the pedestrian area was perfect, since we could walk out the door and roam around shady lanes and charming squares to dozens of restaurants and cafes (also near two supermarkets). Our studio was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with nice amenities, and the service was very kind and friendly. I especially liked the sleek step-in shower. It took a while to figure out all the light switches but we managed... overall a very good place to stay in Heraklion.

We spent three lovely nights at the City Lion Apartments in Heraklion. Our loft apartment was spacious and so well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed for a quick meal break. The staff were incredibly helpful. They made dinner reservations for us, made sure we knew where we were going, and helped us turn of the heating in the apartment (Greeks like the temperature warmer than Wisconsinites in March). I spend several lovely hours sipping wine on the small balcony. The location could not be better for shopping and dining. We had a great visit!

We stayed here only one night but found the apartment to be roomy, clean and comfortable. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and wrap around balcony. ||We were close to the shopping/restaurant area. There was some noise heard in the middle of the night I am guessing from bars or restaurants closing for the night.||One issue was that the hot water was not very hot and it took some time to become hot.||

Pros - clean, quiet, air conditioning, spacious, location, free wi-fi, free bottled water and coffee, elevator, modern||Cons - parking, fragrance in common areas||Note: The electricity is connected to a motion sensor, so it turns off if you leave the apartment. Therefore, devices will stop charging if you leave them plugged in while you're gone.

We received a lovely late evening welcome to the apartment, and a really friendly and helpful introduction to the facilities, plus access to a great app. The apartment was spotlessly clean, modern and well appointed. The layout, with an additional mezzanine floor bedroom was ideal for us as a couple with our adult daughter. Although Heraklion is a charming, busy city, the apartment is a haven of peace and quiet. We enjoyed just sitting on the balcony one evening for an hour or so. The apartment is ideally situated within a 2-3 minute walk of some great restaurants. Highly recommended.

The cost is extremely good for this accommodation. All the staff were friendly, booking taxis for us .Nothing was too much trouble.Security is good with 2 level key entry. We had a very modern 2br apartment with 3 TVs,a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine.
