City Lodge Hotel Durban

Cannot rave about this hotel enough. They were welcoming and very accommodating to me arriving (unexpectedly) early. Breakfast was great and looked beautiful. ALL the staff were fabulous. Highly recommend this spot. Even the security guards were friendly and helpful.

I had an excellent stay at City Lodge. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The food was absolutely great—delicious and satisfying! The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I highly recommend City Lodge for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. I look forward to returning!

The best service from the most friendly staff. The buffet breakfast had a variety of food to choose from every morning. I loved the cappuccino and hot chocolate. The pool is big and clean. Our rooms were cleaned to perfection daily. Thank you, City Lodge.

Wow, what an amazing weekend we spent at your hotel. 10 out of 10. Everyone couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The pool area is absolutely beautiful and a very pleasant escape from the heat. All the waiters are very efficient, but special mention needs to made. Simphiwe "Tic Tic"who goes far beyond his call of duty. An asset to your staff. Highly recommend this well run hotel.

The reason I gave the 2 is because of the chef this morning,like that old lady is rude,I don't know if she is old or just fat but tell me why she was shouting at me this morning , she gave me a plate then the next thing there was no serving spoon and I'm awaiting for her to bring it she just looked at me and said,with a loud voice I gave you a plate manje Se u funani to a point where those marathon guys were shocked too, like why are you screaming while there is no spoon there? I wanted to back chat but I was raised well and this happened today ( 06/06/2025) I'm disappointed but I love this hotel thought

Friendly personnel serving all requests. Tasteful food is freshly prepared while you wait. Wil be staying with them soon.

Well located, very affordable, great place to stay. |However, there was no complementary drinking water provided in the rooms.|We had also asked for an airport shuttle service but the email apparently went missing. A taxi was booked for us and we had to pay for it.

Although Durban CBD has gone to the dogs, this little isolated oasis is lovely to stay at. The rooms and bedding was clean, the staff was very helpful and accommodating, the food was good, and the pool was clean and nice to use in the Durban heat and humidity. It is close to the people mover buses. After our boat cruise we were quite sick, and since the lodge had lots of open rooms at that time, they let us book in a lot earlier than usual was really appreciated. The sleeper couch was a bit hard, but that was the only thing we could fault. it was also very affordable for December holidays. Our personal experience there was really good. 9/10.
