City Market

Better produce and deals than Wal-Mart! Staff is usually very friendly but sometimes they're super busy and a little short on staffing since school started back up. Never have too many issues though.

Great local grocery store with plenty of organic and gluten-free options. Glad to have them close by.

Great store found everything we needed and then some. It is a Kroger Mkt.

Placed in the order and was missing half f my stuff when I went to go and call them they told me to come back purchase the items..never shopping here again the communication sucks along with them helping me ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!!!

Shopping at City Market is awesome. Very rarely do the not have what I want. Go there several times a day. Also have all our family prescriptions filled there as well as glu and singles shots.

I love this City Market! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! They always do a great job of keeping items stocked and are willing to look for something in the back, if it's not on a shelf.

This review is focused on the pharmacy. Fortunately, I rarely have to visit due to general good health, but when I do (I currently have the flu and a month ago had bronchitis) I am so very grateful for the kind staff. I am especially impressed by Joe, one of the pharmacists. He has consistently given me his undivided attention and thoughtful recommendations based on medical knowledge and personal experience. Pharmacists, even the best, are such unsung heroes. So thank you, Joe, for being a remarkably thorough, personable, and patient professional in the field! I hope you read this.

Poor selection, produce isn't always the freshest, no meat counter. Pharmacy is very limited. If you try to do pick up they expect you to bag your groceries yourself. There's no way to ask for them to bag your groceries for pickup even if you purchase the recycleable bags with your order they still bring it out and expect you to do it. Seems difficult there to get anyone to bag your groceries in store too. I think they've decided bagging is the customers job. It's worth it to get prescriptions at Walmart and get food at the City Market in Glenwood imo

Message to negative reviewer.... 1 year later I hope you're still wearing YOUR mask everywhere. False shutdown to control the masses. It's American still ... not sure for how long...so city can do what is good for them in regards to masks. If you don't like it . . . Drive 40 miles back to Grand Junction or stay home and don't travel.

The store in Rifle....the meat market manager Sandra takes vacation time every other week and totally dumps on her assistant manager and employees. The general managers sit around on their fat butts in their offices or walking around the store pretending to manage.they only give their non manager employees 20 hIours q week but expect miracles.

They like covid here. No mask enforcement. Called the health department and corporate. Manager said "well there are a lot of people here" duh. That's why they need effing masks. I will keep reporting them until this is resolved or covid is cured.

Kroger's City Market store in Rifle is located quite a ways off I-70. But if you're in Rifle before heading into the back country and don't like shopping at the Supercenter along I-70 it's worth driving through town to get to. The parking lot can be kind of tight to get in and out of, but the traffic signal at the main entrance makes getting out of there a little easier. Inside you'll find a clean, well stocked City Market location that while not the largest store in terms of square footage will have all of the typical Kroger offerings from a deli to a pharmacy. The store is well stocked, and the staff seems to be friendly and has always been helpful. The gas station is located across the street and again the traffic signal makes it easy to get in and out of, unless the nearby school is open. Morning / afternoon school traffic can make accessto the store or the gas station a bit of a pain...but you're in Rifle, not Denver so the worst Rifle traffic is not that bad. 4 Stars. Again if you need supplies before exploring places off the beaten path you can't go wrong stopping here.

Their customer service at the register is inadequate. I was told I couldn't use my coupons because they wouldn't scan. I don't feel like the fact the coupons wouldn't scan should be the customers problem. The manager was no help at all. They couldn't even over ride the system so I could use them. I would think they'd want the locals to shop at their store instead of going to bigger national stores like Target or Walmart but I guess not. I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Great place to shop! The people are always so friendly and it's always clean. I only have one complaint. More People at the booth up Front! Please! Every time I go they have one person working and there is always a line. You are expected to wait at least 20 mins for your turn and with kids that is really hard.
