City Museum of Novi Sad

Thank you so much for this lovely museum and the wonderful staff! It’s very affordable (about €2). The place is small, but trust me there’s plenty to delight your eyes. The collection is great, and the staff will happily tell you about its origins. Upd. Amazing, just like last time. But there is a different exhibition on the first floor. I think that while I live in Novi Sad, I will keep coming here to see the works of local artists on the first floor. There are many great artists in Serbia. I am glad I got to know this culture through museums.

Small but amazing museum with great collection of art and applied art from different parts of the world (western Europe, Middle East, Creete). The collection was donated to the city by Branko Ilić. The woman who works at the counter is very nice.

Foreign collection of art is very interesting to see. They also have nice temporary exhibitions. But the best thing about the museum is a woman who works there (at least she was there every time I visited). The entrance is 200 dinars.

A very small museum, which visit takes not more than an hour. It is divided into two sections the upper floor which containes a small selection of mainly western european pictures from the sixteenth to ninteenth century donated to the city by a local collector . The ground floor which unlike the upper floor is air conditioned showes a partly interactive exhibition about the town. Can be seen but do not except too much.

A little bit disappointed. I went on a rainy Sunday and due to lack of personal the upstairs floor was closed which contained all the city history expositions. Also very important, on Google’s description it mentions the tunnels tour, but that’s not there. It’s on the history museum that’s located on the fortress. The ground floor contained a temporary small exposition of Andy Warhol.

Lovely museum with friendly staff. The ground floor had an exhibition about famous local influential women and the first floor showcases collections from a local Dr., Dr. Branko Ilic, that was donated to the city. The guide was very friendly and explained the items and their significance in English as the signage was in Serbian.
