I’m surprised of the amount of negative reviews. I attended this college for my AAT Level 2 and was very satisfied with the teaching itself and with the outcome as I got a distinction. I’m continuing my Level 3 here and can say that teachers are very helpful. Special thanks to Rupa for the support and excellent teaching

This is my second academic year studying at this college, and I highly recommend it. The facilities are very good, and the teachers are supportive, knowledgeable, and professional. If you are looking for a reliable training provider, City of Westminster College is an excellent choice.

City of Westminster College tries to look perfect in front of Ofsted, but the truth behind the scenes is completely different. The college shows a fake image of being professional and supportive, but in reality, it is disorganized, stressful, and poorly managed. Many teachers and staff only act nice when inspectors are present. Once Ofsted leaves, the attitude changes completely. Some teachers are rude, careless, and show no respect for students. They don’t care if students understand or not — they just rush through lessons and then blame students for struggling. There is no real support or motivation to help people improve. Communication at this college is a complete mess. Timetables are changed without warning, messages are ignored, and important information is never clear. When students try to ask questions or complain, they are treated like a problem instead of being helped. The management pretends to care, but nothing ever changes. The environment at City of Westminster College feels negative and unwelcoming. Many students feel stressed, unsupported, and disappointed. Instead of focusing on education, the college focuses on image — on pretending everything is fine for Ofsted and outsiders. But the people who study here every day know the truth. This college needs a serious change in attitude, management, and teaching quality. Students deserve respect, fairness, and proper education — not fake promises and unprofessional behavior.

made the decision to withdraw my daughter from City of Westminster College, and it was entirely based on her experiences there. From the moment she entered the building each day, she would leave with a foul, brown, sticky substance stuck to the soles of her shoes, which says a lot about the cleanliness of the campus. More concerning, however, was the way she was treated by staff. One of her teachers repeatedly made comments about the pimples on her nose, even suggesting she should be cast as “warty witch” characters in productions. When my daughter reported this behaviour, student services dismissed her concerns and laughed it off instead of taking it seriously. The final straw was a visit to first aid, where she was offered a clearly used plaster with dried brown blood on it under the excuse of “recycling,” and then made to feel ashamed for refusing it. No student should ever be put in that position. Based on our experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this college altogether.

Although I had many great times at this college during 2023 to 2025, there was something really disappointing that happened. Back in 2024, when I went to enroll for GCSE English, I showed them my ESOL Level 2 certificate—which I had actually done with them before—and I said I wanted to do GCSEs. But they basically told me, “You’re less likely to pass because GCSE is so hard, and 80-85% of people whose first language isn’t English fail it.” They looked at my assessment and just kind of decided I probably wouldn’t pass, and they put me in a Level 1 Functional Skill course instead—so basically a step down from the Level 2 I had. But then I went to another college, showed them that same ESOL Level 2 certificate (which I’d passed at City of Westminster College), and they just enrolled me into the GCSE course without any fuss or extra assessment. And guess what? Last week I got my results and I passed my GCSE English with a grade 4! (What I needed for university!) So my piece of advice is: the building might be nice and the equipment good, but some people at this college might not believe in you and might discourage you. Just ignore that, do what you know you can do, and don’t let them hold you back.

Imagine you applied to a course 6 months ago and you are accepted. They called you for enrolment and sent reminders every week. But just one day before enrolment, you got the attached email... They cancelled the course! JUST ONE DAY BEFORE ENROLMENT! This is not the college you are looking for. Completely unprofessional. Completely time waste. Completely pure rubbish.

This college should be shut down, the teachers are not serious youll be lucky if they show up, the amount of times my child traveled to college only to come straight back home cos no teacher!!! They send wrong information out it messages they ignore the kids responses , offsted should be looking in to this college and what is going on as it is not fair on students who actually want to learn!

The organisation in this college is definitely something. The class schedule is useless and doesn’t line up to where the students are actually supposed to be. From the very start they had little to no care to fix the scheduling issues. And they always announce everything last minute which is frustrating and stressful. They have made little to no effort to inform the students about any of the rules and procedures, expecting them to know on the very first week. I met a person who was kicked out of the course in the beginning of the term due to them being absent for a bit because of health reasons. And without any warning they just kicked them out. And the way the person found out they were kicked out was because their ID wasn’t letting them into the college. No email, no letter whatsoever. And not even half way through the course, teachers were leaving. They assigned a cover teacher who had no idea what the course is about and taught us absolutely nothing about the subject. And on top of that the teachers are rude and snarky. They blame you for just about everything that they cannot provide. They blame the students for not coming in when there were no teachers to begin with. And blame students for not doing enough when they don’t even provide and help to begin with. And the college is surrounded by crime everyday. The staff cannot control the students at all. You will feel very isolated in this college if you are serious about your studies. This college is a waste of time if you want to actually learn. I’m not hating but only telling what I have experience in this college. If you think of enrolling to this college, please be aware of what you’re going into.
