City Park

A perfect place for families in the heart of Budapest! 🌳✨ City Park (Városliget) offers everything you need for a fun and relaxing day — wide green spaces, a beautiful lake, playgrounds, and safe walking or cycling paths. Right next to Heroes’ Square and the stunning Vajdahunyad Castle, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. Children can run freely, feed the ducks, or enjoy the open areas, while parents can relax with coffee or simply enjoy the scenery. A must-visit for anyone traveling with kids! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

A beautiful park ideal for walking or running. A nice large area of parkland with beautiful views. I spent a day wandering around the park. I would highly recommend a visit if In the area

Amazing park! The playground areas are huge and seemed to have a lot for kids to play on. We loved the little bike area they had set up for children. They also have a running lane around the entire park. It's red and made of track material so most people understand to stay off if they're not running. Could easily spend several hours strolling around to see everything. Bathrooms are still paid, which is insane from our perspective. Would be 5 stars if they had even a single free bathroom to use.

It’s a lovely big city park with lots of parks, recreational spaces and historical landmarks and statues. Some of the children’s playgrounds looked amazing. Imagine my surprise as an Englishman to find a small tribute to Winston Churchill (he can be found just by the castle). There’s also a running track/ route through the park.

Middle-Europe's Central Park! Lot of things to discover, I'd highlight the House of Music, very unique place. Lot of different restaurants, picnic spots, public benches, toilets. Easy to spend a whole day wandering around.

Nice park for a stroll! Nice souvenir store inside the premises of that mansion, where they sell funny music playing souvenir-gadgets. This park has nice playgrounds for the younger visitors. For the sporty visitors, there are playgrounds equipped with different exercise tools too. For runners there is a nicely marked track for a good run! (A small loop and a bigger loop!) The park has multiple water taps, which is very handy! This park has restrooms. There is a quite pricy balloon attraction as well in the park, which we happily skipped. Sadly, no spare time for a famous thermal bath at Széchenyi across the street…

Very glad to visit the park on a weekend. The park is very close to the center area of Budapest so very easy for access through public transportation and it is a very large green space, with a lot of facilities. The views are spectacular.

An amazing park, always lots going on. Great place to exercise. It has a gigantic playground for kids and a musical playground which is fascinating to walk on.
