A very comfortable hotel. Staff welcoming and unobtrusive, but available for questions. The building itself is a wonderful piece of Australian history, dating back to the beginning of British settlement in Adelaide in 1838. Excellent value for money.

What a find! On the edge of the city with a bus stop out front it is a quick five minute ride to the Centre of town. Very clean, comfortable and quiet rooms and such awesome prices it is the best value for money in Adelaide. I tried both the single room with shared bathroom and a double with its own ensuite. From the lovely and so very happy cleaner to the caring owner Linda, this was the place to stay for my short week in Adelaide that started dismally with my Dockers losing to the Crows, but it all went up from there. There are a few great eateries within a minutes walk and the lively parks to wander around. I will be back on my next trip to Adelaide.

Great location, older style rooms, but still well maintained. Great to be in a motel where the walls aren’t paper thin. For the price I expected something rough, but was plesantly surprised. Have stayed in much worse for double the price in the last week. Super friendly management team.

I found the City Park when looking for some cheaper accommodation for staying in Adelaide for Comic Con. The place is on South Terrace and is upstairs from the main street next to a restuarant and bar. The location means it's walking distance to most of the city and surrounding parks. The room was small, but featured a relatively comfortable bed. There was a TV, fridge and the bathroom was nice. There was quite an unpleasant smell in the room, seemed to be either mildew or urine. The carpet definitely needed a clean or to be replaced entirely. The window looks onto the balcony of the pub next door and on to the street. It's quite a cheap motel though, so for what we paid, we couldn't expect that much. In-room free WiFi was a nice feature too.

i stayed here with friends, we had to lug all of our bags up the stairs to our room. the room we booked is nothing like what we were given, you have to pay extra money to upgrade. The owner is a scammer and will you cheat you out of your money just to upgrade you, for the same money you can stay in a really nice hotel, not some dirty old pub room accomodation not close to any thing, and next door is a noisy pub full of drunken people ,,,,DONT STAY HERE,,,, read other reviews

Creeky room, carpet needs throwing as it has more stains than a brothel, WiFi reception was good, the shower..... You would have a better experience if you could get an ant to pour an ant sized watering can over you as the pressure to this shower is non existent never mind the added fun of trying to get a temperature which stays between lava hot and Antarctica freezing as you try your best to navigate the temperature which is harder than learning to one man drive a U-boat. After booking whilst asking for parking, on arrival being told it was full so we should park in the a different hotels parking next to us for an extra $18-20. Safe to say I won't be here again. I forgot to add the noise of what sounds like a mouse on a mini steam train within the walls (water pipes) but don't worry... He/she/the mouse changes from steam train to trumpet to banging pans to jackhammer. Receptionist seemed pleasant though...

A great, no frills location only 12mins walk from the CBD. I booked late during a convention with all the major hotels full. Was pleasantly surprised. Close to the parks that surround the city, so great for running. Also quick to get to the airport. Shared bathroom. Solid internet. Best feature is probably the liquor store conveniently located underneath and the nearby restaurants.

NEVER EVER!!!!!! book a room at this hotel, because you may or may not get the room you have booked, depending upon how much you booked the room for, and how much they can charge for your room by selling your room to another person. There were 5 other people with confirmed bookings who like me were turned away. An absolute disgraceful exhibition of mismanagement.
