City Solei (Poznan, Poland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Poznan, Poland may not be quite on the level of Warsaw or Krakow as an international destination, but in City Solei it’s got a boutique hotel that’s the equal of those in many a global capital. And perhaps it’s not a coincidence that each of City Solei’s rooms is named — and themed — after a world-class city like Amsterdam, Dakar, Marrakech, or Havana. Personality is certainly not in short supply, and the artwork is as memorable as the interior design; there’s a breakfast made from seasonal ingredients, and bikes are available for exploring Poznan on your own." - Tablet Hotels

Great location. Hotel is 5 min walk from old town. Perfect. The rooms. We started in room 2 the first night. The curtain didn't close properly. I'd imagine that'll be fixed by now. It was also quite sheer so it was bright very early. However, the lovely staff moved us the next day to room 3. There was plenty of space for 2 open suitcases in both rooms. Breakfast was great as you could order cooked food as well as the open buffet style food. Staff were lovely and helpful. My feedback to the hotel would be to upgrade the curtains to block out. Overall, good stay. 7/10.

Less hotel and more bed and breakfast, City Solei has mixed reviews from me.||We checked in at 10pm on our first night and despite booking directly and pre-paying months earlier, we were given the ground floor corner room with windows facing a main roundabout and others facing a carpark. It was super loud and bright, and the curtains were broken! We had to request pegs to be able to close them because otherwise people on the road could see in. Not to mention the headlights from cars shining right in. Plus, our shower leaked right through the bathroom.||We were moved the next day but I feel sorry foe whoever got that room after us.||Plus:|- Location is right on the outskirts of rhe old town. You can be in the heart of the city in 10 minutes making it easy to walk in and out.|- Breakfast is absolutely delicious and plentiful. Huge variety including cooked breakfast options, you'll be full all day.|- Staff are lovely and very helpful|- Decor ia quite quirky and fun||Minus:|- The curtains do nothing. They're just sheets of material so the sun streams in from 5am. You need an eye mask. |- Noisy! We were right behind reception and even with the extra door and corridor, could hear people coming and going. It was even worse in our first room with all the road noise. Very little sleep was had. Our second room had the carpark window so again, you get all that noise too.|- Sheets and towels are old, thin and piling|- Bathrooms in the downstairs rooms need an upgrade|- Nowhere to escape the summer heat. An outdoor courtyard would be nice rather than the couch in the rooms.||Overall, my stay was pleasant but I wouldn't come back. We love the Puro brand and should have stayed there.

The Solei Hotel in Poznań is fantastic – colorful, unique, and truly different. Stylishly designed with great attention to detail, it offers a special atmosphere you won’t forget anytime soon. A real highlight for anyone looking for something extraordinary.

Each room has a unique theme, inspired by a different country. When we arrived, several rooms were available, so the staff gave us a little tour and asked us to choose which one we preferred. All of them were great, but the one we liked best was a little bigger than what we had booked, so they gave us a free upgrade just because. We also got welcome drinks and some cookies on the way out. Everything was very clean and the rooms were quiet at night. The location is great - 5 minutes away from Rynek. Overall, we got much more than we paid for and will definitely return if we happen to be in Gdańsk.

A very nice and very individual hotel. I travel a lot through Europe on business, but it has been shown again and again that small, individual and privately run hotels enhance every trip. So does this hotel. Great and friendly team included

Absolutely outstanding hotel on the edge of the centre of Poznan, the little touches such as drink on arrival chocolates by your door in the morning, water and cookies on leaving are fantastic touches. The hotel has a fantastic design, the staff are brilliant, nothing more to say, just stay here.

Lots of small and pleasant details for the guests. Questionnaire is sent the day before by email, pillow preferences, fragrance preferences, welcome cocktail, table games, etc. Rooms are OK, decoration is dedicated to different countries and cultures. Cosy place. Rich breakfast, sufficient variety. Reception team is kind and helpful (some more than others). Paid parking next to the hotel. City centre, main square, is at about 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel.

This is the sweetest hotel in a great location. They personalize everything from welcome drinks, pillow selection, linen spray, etc…so many little details. It’s very cute and clean and the staff went above and beyond in every way! The room was so peaceful and quiet-absolutely loved my stay. Thank you!

Yelp
Phenomenal location, literally about 2 blocks off the main old-town square, so walking to everything you want to see is possible while staying here. The rooms are nicely updated, chic, and clean. Beds are decently comfortable, and despite being close to the old town, it's fairly quiet inside (read: I didn't have trouble sleeping due to noise). Breakfast in the morning actually has some of the most impressive dishes I've seen in the entirety of Europe, and bonus: there's a bowl of chocolates that just sits waiting for you every time you pass the stairs on the ground floor. Staff is very kind, and speaks excellent English. Would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
Totally obsessed with this boutique hotel. Each room is unique. Decor inspired by different cities from all over the world. We stayed in junior suite which was spacious, filled with funky furnitures and lots of fun details - Middle East oriented. Staff was super friendly and treat us like VIP. There is a pillow menu in which you can choose your favorite pillow to sleep on. You can also request a teddy bear. Awesomely delicious little chocolates and cookies in the lobby , basket of apples in the elevator. Location is also beyond excellent- 3 min walk down to old market square. I am soooo happy we stayed there
