Less hotel and more bed and breakfast, City Solei has mixed reviews from me.||We checked in at 10pm on our first night and despite booking directly and pre-paying months earlier, we were given the ground floor corner room with windows facing a main roundabout and others facing a carpark. It was super loud and bright, and the curtains were broken! We had to request pegs to be able to close them because otherwise people on the road could see in. Not to mention the headlights from cars shining right in. Plus, our shower leaked right through the bathroom.||We were moved the next day but I feel sorry foe whoever got that room after us.||Plus:|- Location is right on the outskirts of rhe old town. You can be in the heart of the city in 10 minutes making it easy to walk in and out.|- Breakfast is absolutely delicious and plentiful. Huge variety including cooked breakfast options, you'll be full all day.|- Staff are lovely and very helpful|- Decor ia quite quirky and fun||Minus:|- The curtains do nothing. They're just sheets of material so the sun streams in from 5am. You need an eye mask. |- Noisy! We were right behind reception and even with the extra door and corridor, could hear people coming and going. It was even worse in our first room with all the road noise. Very little sleep was had. Our second room had the carpark window so again, you get all that noise too.|- Sheets and towels are old, thin and piling|- Bathrooms in the downstairs rooms need an upgrade|- Nowhere to escape the summer heat. An outdoor courtyard would be nice rather than the couch in the rooms.||Overall, my stay was pleasant but I wouldn't come back. We love the Puro brand and should have stayed there.
