City Star Lodge

We recently spent the weekend at City Star Lodge for Riverfire and it and unexpected surprise. While the hallway to the room seemed a little tired the room itself was amazing. The room was spacious, immaculate and well stocked with what you need. The bed was comfortable, towels big and fluffy, and the staff were all friendly and upbeat making you feel welcome right from the start. They were informative when asked about local options. Will definitely stay again when in Brisbane.

We asked for a ground floor room which was provided. The room was luxurious and the kitchenette was ideal for our needs. The pool was outside our room situated inside a courtyard which was comfortable and safe. The pineapple hotel was across a park very convenient for meals. The staff Were kind and friendly. Will definitely return in the future.

Stopped here for six nights recently. |I was generally happy with this. My room was tidy and bed comfortable. Bathroom area was fine. I had a couple of dealings with the reception and they were most helpful. Location-wise, this is a relatively short walk (1.5miles?) into central Brisbane and really well situated for the Gabba. There are good public transport links I used a few times during my visit and public transport is very well priced in Brisbane. |As per other reviews, there are steps here so if that is an issue you may want to ask for a downstairs room. Also, the room was quite loud at night so if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend ear plugs.

We recently stayed at City Star Lodge for a short weekend trip. Along with previous reviewers, we found the Lodge to be delightful. There's a fun vibe to a converted motel, which is particularly suitable for young families like ours. Our room was comfortable and clean, exactly as expected for value accommodation. The staff of this venue are the real selling point. Friendly, welcoming and thoughtful - even offering sunscreen to the silly interstate visitors who had forgotten what sun looks like! We would gladly return to City Star Lodge!

We had the pleasure of spending 5 nights here and it was absolutely wonderful. The Staff were very friendly and obliging and immediately made us feel ‘at home’. Our room was superbly located with awesome pool and street views, and beautifully sunny.Everything was so clean and bed exceptionally comfortable.Being so handy to the Bus stop, local Restaurants, and Grocery store was a huge plus. Kangaroo Point, South Bank, Botanical Gardens, and the River Ferry were all easy walkable distance.Would definitely recommend Star City Lodge and am already planning to return!

I stayed here during the Brisbane Marathon and had a fantastic experience. The location was excellent, just a short distance from the botanical gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist us, especially with our check-out time. Highly recommended!

The newly renovated room was great. The facility overall was really nice and is in a nice spot - bus stops right out the front, easy to walk to get food. The managers/staff were lovely. Secure parking available underneath. I would definitely stay again.

Warm and welcoming staff. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is perfect nice and close to the botanical gardens and queen street mall. I would definitely stay here again!
