Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cairo, the **City View Museum Hotel** offers a unique and inviting experience just a short stroll from the iconic Tahrir Square. This charming hotel is not part of the luxury chains, but rather a delightful local establishment where guests are treated like family. The warm and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. ||The hotel boasts an abundance of character, with well-appointed rooms that feature numerous power outlets and excellent lighting—an often overlooked detail that enhances your stay. While the amenities are straightforward, they are thoughtfully designed to meet your needs. You get a carefully prepared breakfast, ensuring a satisfying start to each day.||City View Museum Hotel also serves as a convenient base for exploring Cairo, with various excursions readily available for those looking to delve into the city's rich history and culture. Although I didn't take advantage of the excursion services, flexibility is a hallmark of their offerings. For travelers seeking an affordable yet comfortable place to stay in Cairo, where they can quickly feel at home, City View Museum Hotel is undoubtedly a fantastic choice.

This hotel exceeded expectations by far. I had booked it because of the location and price and having stayed there 5 days I am certain that I could not have found a better place to stay , even at a higher price.|The view of Tahir Square is unbeatable but the rooms and the service are exceptional. In all fairness the bathroom could do with updating but this is easily forgiven in view of the price. The hotel has a genuine Egyptian feel about it, and the breakfast on the balcony overlooking the square is an experience in itself.|All in all unbeatable at the price.

The manager and porter were lovely. Covid and subsequent neighboring country's unrest has really taken its toll on the country in genenersl. The hotel is doing their best with what they have to work with. The location is great and the amount they charge is fair. It is run down unfortately and the breakfast was extra basic. I didn't need much so the banana, yogurt and boiled egg worked. I felt very safe. Think hostel.

From moment you walk in, it has a hotel feel with a home vibe. View is beyond amazing, not even the "luxurious" ones around has that view. Staf was very friendly, were always accommodating to everything we need. Great, great location. Honestly literally best bang for your buck! Check it out.

We stayed 3 nights over April end and early May.||Pros: |- Centrally located at Tahrir...5 min walk from the Egyptian museum. Middle of shopping areas. |- Good restaurants and shops in the area. Etisalat store is 5 min for sim card. There is a forex exchange on the same road. |- Rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious. |- Though centrally located, you don't feel much of a noise at any time.|- Also arranges tours as per your needs. Costs were mid range. Drivers arranged by them for their tours and airport drop/pickup - Mohammed, Hussein, Ahmed Shokry were all good. Vehicles are owned by their parent company Middle East tours. |- Breakfast was good and very filling. Esp. Falafel.|- Staff are friendly and polite.||Cons:|- Unless you need depth of information, i would suggest not adding a guide in their tours. Apart from additional cost and fact that guides can't enter the pyramids or other enclosed spaces, there is always a push to close sight seeing earlier and move towards perfume, carpet shops etc from guides. I didn't like it. Please be aware of this guide factor if taking a tour from hotel or any other hotel in Egypt.|- Also, a railway station drop arranged by the hotel wasnt as expected - I believe it was arranged privately via a local taxi and not as they did the other arrangements. We were dropped in a market away from the entrance and had to figure out the entrance due to construction activities around..a cost premium of 2.5 - 3 x wasn't paid to get same experience as hailing a car on the street. In the long run a hotel needs to iron out these things to really do well.|- Kettle and complimentary water bottles are not provided.||For the price vs location vs other benefits, overall fine.

Nestled in the bustling heart of Tahrir, this charming gem of a stay proved to be an absolute delight! Despite its age, the building carries an inviting and mesmerizing character, a true testament to the timeless appeal of its surroundings. The room, a cozy haven amidst the lively pulse of the city, was spotless and well-kept, ensuring comfort that whispers of careful attention and warmth.||The staff, oh, they were the heart and soul of hospitality! Friendly doesn't quite capture their spirit; they were like guides, friends, and helpers all rolled into one, always ready with a smile and eager to make the stay not just excellent but unforgettable. Their approachability and assistance added an extra layer of ease and enjoyment to the whole experience, making it feel like finding a home away from home.||The location? Simply impeccable. Situated in Tahrir, it felt as though the city's vibrant life and attractions were at our doorstep, waiting to be explored. The convenience of being so close to the heart of the action yet able to retreat to a peaceful sanctuary was indeed the best of both worlds.||And then there was the breakfast – a culinary voyage into the rich tapestry of Egyptian flavors. Each morning was greeted with a spread that was not only delicious but offered a taste of local culture and tradition, a perfect start to a day of exploration and discovery.||Look no further for anyone seeking a stay that combines comfort, convenience, and a touch of local charm. This place is not just a stay; it's an experience, a gateway to the wonders of Tahrir, and a delightful chapter in the travel diary of any wanderer.

Simple but convenient hotel in a top location close to Egyptian museum and many shops and restaurants. Do not expect a beautiful, luxurious room. But bed is comfortable, shower has hot water and breakfast is pretty OK. Staff is friendly. They offer shuttle service from and to airport, it worked very well. Recommended.

I stayed there in August and was very happy with the price:comfort ratio. It s in the middle of downtown and close to the Nile and Metro stations. Rooms were clean and breakfast good and the team was very, very friendly and helpful! Airport pick-up is included! I can only recommend it and will go there again, when I visit Cairo! All the best to the owners and the team! Masallama!
