7 Countries with Visas Designed for Remote Workers

"Several hotels in Tallinn are offering monthly rates to survive the pandemic, including Citybox Tallinn for €290 a month (about $350 USD), which Jeppesen says is better than many five-star hotels he's stayed at, despite the low rate."

recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and overall had a very good experience. It’s well-organized and clean, creating a positive first impression. However, the carpets—although relatively new—could be vacuumed more often to keep them looking fresh. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, ideal for resting after a day out. One drawback is the curtains, which don’t block out light effectively. In summer, when the sun rises early and sets late, this can affect sleep quality. Better blackout curtains would make a big difference. Each floor has a relaxing lounge area, which is a great touch for guests looking for a quiet spot to unwind. There’s also a shared kitchen on the 3rd floor, convenient for preparing small meals. The hotel includes a laundry area with washing and drying machines, which is useful for longer stays. However, the cost—€10 for each wash and each dry—is a bit high. The location is another strong point: quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and main attractions. This balance between calm and convenience makes it a solid choice for travelers. With a few small improvements, this hotel could become an excellent option for both short and extended stays.

- very well located hotel just outside the old city, pretty close to the tram lines |- Good value for the room, which was very clean and well equipped |- it's all high-tech with digital check-in and checkout, but there are also people that can help you if you have a problem |- breakfast can order ahead at the coffee shop at the first level but otherwise you can just go and order what you like. |- in any case, it's a very efficient hotel. Everything works like it should and the value is good

Perfect stay in Tallinn! 10 mins walk to city center and Old Town, and a 20-25-minute walk to Toompea Hill. Ferry terminal to Helsinki is right behind. It has become one of my favorite hotels I have stayed in so far. Everything is handled very easily. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the hotel is very clean, the interior design is very nice. And the price is affordable. Check-in/out is very easy with the kiosks. Luggage drop-off is also done with these screens and again it is very easy. There is no breakfast but you can bring whatever you want and have meal at the 3rd floor where coffee, hot water, and all kitchen stuff exists. There is also a breakfast option at the restaurant at the entrance. There is not much staff around but when you need it, you click on Help on the kiosk screens, someone comes to help you within 1-2 minutes. It’s also good to extend check-out time 12 to 13 free. If I come to Tallinn again, I’d definetely stay at Citybox.

We had a very good time in Tallinn. The hotel is located in a very good place, close to both the old town and the harbor. The hotel is modern. The rooms are clean and quiet. On the ground floor there is a restaurant where you can have breakfast and lunch. I liked the solution of checking into the room using the automatic check-in machine.

Not worth the money. The design is elegant, but that’s where the positives end. There is no staff presence, no room cleaning, and no breakfast buffet. The rooms are extremely spartan: no TV, no kettle, no wardrobe, no fridge, and the air conditioning display is distractingly bright at night. Instead, there’s a shared kitchen and shared TV. Laundry costs are outrageous—10 euros to wash and another 10 euros to dry. Yes, all this might be hidden somewhere on the website, but at this price point, you don’t expect basic hotel standards to be missing. We paid over 200 euros per night and essentially got a stylish youth hostel in a country supposedly cheaper than the EU average

A/C cant handle even moderate summer days at 26°C, the rooms will stay at 24-25°C and dont have any windows to open. The A/C keeps rattling but is nearly not cooling. As the rooms are really tiny the heat feels worse. Everything is clean and functional, but it can get loud and busy if the hotel is fully booked. Queues at the lift are obligatory. The water pressure is poor, despite its a new building. One towel had large holes, I cannot understand how a towel like this could be placed in the room, as its absolutely visible. Restaurant and Café (closes already at 4 pm!), but no cold drinks to buy within the hotel, as the vending machines are broken and poorly maintained. Also one Check-In-Terminal was broken. The next supermarket is two blocks away. Location is good for harbour and old town with tram stop closeby.

We stayed in a twin room. The beds were very comfortable and there was also a large double window and window seats. The bathroom was spacious and very clean (though the shower did flood the floor outside the shower tray). The location was extremely handy for accessing the old town and for walks around the new up and coming harbour area. There were some delicious cafes just across the road. I'd highly recommend a stay at Citybox Tallinn.
