I wanna share my experience today with Carolyn , she accept my dog in last minute. She was very kind. They did a very great job. I know my dog has a home now the groomer, Dara is absolutely professional. They did spectacular job. I just showed them picture and they did exactly what I want

Carolyn, Parker and Scott have become like family to my corgi Charlie during tough times recently. From report cards to daily updates and ALWAYS prefacing that the dog is OK when calling…. They’ve built a nice team you can trust. Pretty sure they have moved to the west LA location now, but we have went with them despite the commute as their worth it!!

Carolyn is a true to word lifesaver! A few weeks back, I got a last minute invite from friends to go to Disney. I had just moved to Los Angeles and didn’t have anyone to watch my high maintenance children (a GSD mix and a BC). Carolyn went out of her way to help me acclimate Fox and Sox to Citydog! Without her and the team, I wouldn’t have been able to stay at the resort and get some much needed RnR. Thank you Carolyn and Citydog! And congrats on the move!

My dog absolutely loves City Dog! Every time we pull up, she can’t get through the door fast enough. The staff is amazing: friendly, caring, and clearly love what they do. I always feel confident leaving her there knowing she’s safe, socializing, and having the best time. Highly recommend City Dog to anyone who is looking for day care or boarding.

Leaving my original feedback below for posterity. I did get a call after leaving this review and was reimbursed the extra charge I was surprised by. It seems there are policies in place to avoid bad customer interactions but doesn't seem like the team really follows those rules. I would still be hesitant to recommend this location --- HIDDEN FEES AND POOR COMMUNICATION! Very poor experience, don't understand how they can justify the extra per day/night cost given the basic facilities. But the care is what you pay for and I can't speak to how my doggy was treated on a day to day basis (she seems happy) The worst part is their lack of transparency and hidden fees. They will entice you with a free bath. They will also guide you to buy packages that "cover" your needs. Then when you check out, they add on a bunch of fees (~$250 extra). $70 late fee, even though I said upfront when I would pick her up and was not told anything. Pay for an extra night because the package I purchased doesn't cover the full stay (why wasn't I told this upfront?). $50 for a bath which I was told was included in the package They will claim these extra costs and restrictions are in the contract. You mean the fine print doc nobody reads? This is a disingenuous explanation. If I pay upfront (and follow the exact schedule I shared) don't expect me to pay extra at the end...

Find another boarding facility if it’s just daycare it’s OK. It’s actually like a prison yard so many dogs with little supervision. The so-called assistant managers watch in the office on their monitors while they have the staff which is usually one handler cleaning all five play parks the dogs never get walked, but they tell the parents that they do. They are too cheap to pay for air conditioning so it’s very hot inside. Please be aware. Don’t bring your dogs here.

Jessie is the best groomer! I have a 15 year old mini poodle who does not like getting baths and Jessie takes the best care of my little old man. Super sweet and attentive with him.

I have been bringing my little Sophie to WLA City Dog for 4 years now and she loves it! Jesse does a wonderful job with grooming Sophie.

We live in the neighborhood and were excited to try a new grooming place for our Shih Tzu mix who needs haircuts every 6 weeks. The location is convenient and I appreciate the ample parking spaces in a dedicated lot (parking at our previous groomer was precarious) on the side of the building. Inside, the space is clean and bright. I was greeted immediately by a friendly staff member and our groomer, Anniesha, who always does a great job with our dog who appreciates the one-on-one service. When people stop to say hi they often comment on his haircut.

The manager was very rude to this pregnant lady that went in with her partner that had an interview. He said she will never know anything about paperwork at all. No compation for human. Kicked her out like she was nuffing. If he is like that how can they be trusted with dogs. I'm scared to take my dog there after that. The front desk person was perfect at there job. Every kind.

I have left my dogs with the staff at City Dog Club numerous times. my babies are always anxious to go in. Unlike other places, I have never had a negative experience. i love watching my dogs on camera as well. GREAT CARE!!

Update: Peter contacted me to discuss my concerns-mainly that some miscommunication/lack of communication by staff can be improved. He assured me he is going to review their protocols and offered to refund our dog's stay. He was very apologetic and he made things right. This is what good customer service looks like.

My dog got Giardia after spending a day at daycare here. He had nonstop diarrhea and vomiting for two days straight. I am certain he caught it here as he had not been around any other dogs for several days before or after spending a day here. The daycare felt very overcrowded and smelled so bad. I understand that doggy daycares will have a smell (especially indoor daycares), but we had to bathe our dog immediately after returning because he just smelled so bad. We will not be returning.

My pet is well taken care of. The staff knows him. The place are clean and affordable and accommodating.

Very disappointed with new management- After coming here for over a year and a half I was told our dog can no longer come to daycare. No phone call- no prior updates on behavior issues- I was completely blind sided when we showed up one day and were told she can't attend. I work in LA but live in Long Beach so I did not have time to take her home- it is about an hour drive. A call would have been nice, or even a notification when they collected our payment the night prior- but they did not say a thing. I was very shocked and upset, She has now been going to a new daycare for two months with no issues. Who ever is running this place now doesn't seem to have much experience with controlling dogs- I wish them luck. Would not recommend city dogs - the way they handled this situation was very unprofessional

I brought my small dog in for a temperament test today, and the experience was alarming. The staff member opened the first door to the facility and then the second door, allowing all the dogs to escape into the hallways. She seemed a bit spaced out to be honest, as one would when they're ill. She assured me it didn't happen often whilst she tried to get all the dogs. One small dog managed to jump or find its way into the lobby, where a woman was bringing in her own dog. When she tried to catch the dog, she fell. I spoke to her outside, lovely lady, feel bad she took a tumble to grab the dog. But if that was your dog, you gotta thank her - she took a fall to protect your dog. If someone had opened the front door, that dog could have easily run outside. The staff member eventually rounded up the dogs and shut the door, but didn't notice that I still had a dog with me in the hallway playing with my dog - I guess no one counts the dogs. It was a golden haired Dachshund. After witnessing this lack of control and safety, I will definitely not be bringing my puppy here. Oh - forgot to mention - the room was full of dog poop and piss and the worker was sick, losing her voice and probably shouldn't have been working today. But also, dragging my 4 month6 pound terrified puppy into the play area full of howling and barking dogs is probably not the best way to introduce a dog to a pack of small to medium dogs. I think what happened today was Gods way of looking out for him, God knows what would have happened and I was being too trusting - next time no one does that to my puppy. If you have webcams, the incident was on March 1 at approx 9:50-am-10am.

Do not bring your dog to this place! I boarded my dog for 2 weeks since I had to travel for work! no one notified me that she was attacked by another dog which by the way ripped off part of her skin!!! I called because I did not see her in the cameras for a long period of tim. I was told she was limping and I asked Jonathan to please take her to the Vet I knew she was in pain, to my surprise I was told it had to be approved by Peter the manager my dog was brought to the hospital twice she developed an infection and was later told that a dog had bite her!!! I immediately booked my flight to pick her up! i picked her up Saturday and was warn by Bobby that it was bad! She has an open large wound so bad that I could see her bone! I immediately took her to Vet Hospital in Santa Monica were she is still in ongoing treatment for her infection and wound! I trusted this place to care for my dog they did absolutely nothing to help her she was in pain and every time I called their response was she is doing well don't worry! I am not done with this place I will get justice for my dog! She is not ok she was neglected and told gigs will be dogs!

My first visit was good because it was a referral from the manager at the Culver City location. The Culver City salon shaved too close causing my dog bleeding nicks near the rear end area. I am giving this salon three stars based on my first experience with the grooming performance. So I decided to take my bichon/poodle mix back to the same groomer. She came out to great us, took the paperwork that I filled out and we went over it. Giving her the what to do and not to do. However, every " not to do" was done as though she didn't really care.? I held high expectations for this salon because they claim to be better than your run of the meal dog grooming salons. But at the end of the day I would have never gone back and I will never bring my dog back to a Citydog salon again.

My dog was killed here. Bandit was a petite 5-pound Chihuahua/terrier mix. She was left in a play park with several dogs of mixed sizes. Two large dogs owned by the same family attacked and killed her. They held her in their mouths and shook her to death. She died from punctured lungs and internal bleeding. It was noon on a Sunday but there was no human supervision in the play park when it happened. I looked at CityDog's webcam three hours after Bandit died. The staff was hosting a birthday party in the play park. Why was a tiny dog left alone with big dogs? Different versions of the story came from the owner and employees. The staff member had to leave "to get supplies," "to wash their hands." They said it happened in 1-2 minutes. The video footage tells a different story. The operations manager, who works in Washington DC, not Los Angeles, called me to explain. I told him the owner owed us a phone call. Co-owner Phillip called and was apologetic. CityDog refunded my boarding fees and paid for the vet, autopsy and cremation. Read reviews on Indeed.com and GlassDoor.com from former staff at most of the CityDog Club/DoozyDog Club locations: "You will be expected to do the work of two to three people by yourself on any given day and maybe even more," "I can't even count how many times I've been left alone with 40+ dogs...updating records, booking reservations, checking emails, all while cleaning and keeping the dogs from fighting and breaking up fights. It's unsafe for the dogs and it's unsafe for the employees." Club when we traveled. I left a 5-star review in 2017. We trusted that she was protected and safe. Our hearts are broken.

AVOID THIS LOCATION We moved from Culver City to West LA and starting coming here after positive experience at the location out on Higuera St. Our appointments are constantly cancelled but we kept giving them a chance. This location on Pontius Ave are unable to keep staff. We had our appointment cancelled for grooming because an employee quit on the spot, we had another appointment which Citydog cancelled because they got booked for a dog party then on our makeup appointment we got a call AFTER dropping off our dogs that they don't have staff. Mind you I received 4 text message and 2 emails in a 24 hour window confirming the appointment.

If you are in a bind you can leave your child there...they are alright. However, my child has thrice had kennel cough from them. The shampoo they use gave her a rash and they denied it. They asked for a photo - I sent in a photo with no follow up. Needless to say we use a diff shampoo. The last time around she came back with an eye infection... They used to be way better - don't know what happened.

City dog is really terrific. My 18 month old Havanese, Oliver comes home clean, happy and tiredthe assistant manager, Jessica really makes city dog the best. Jessica makes sure everything runs smoothly. Melissa their groomer does an impeccable jobReally importantly they have the cam so you can watch the play yard on your phone. That is so reassuring as you watch your dog

They deserve zero star. They have a bad reputation for a reason - A dog got killed under their care before. They are not capable. This establishment used to be decent until Peter took over as manager. Unfortunately, he's incompetent, entitled, and unpleasant. Their prices are higher than other daycares, and they make commitments and then go behind your back, only to justify it as their "policy" when confronted. Apparently getting your money and giving you false promises when you sign up is their policy. They have zero communication with you and do whatever they want. If you care about your dog look elsewhere. Lucia, Jessica, and Ariana were wonderful, however, Peter sucks. Don't trust this place with your fur baby.

Completely done with this place. I'm bummed out in a way, because when we first started bringing our dog here, everything was great and we weren't having any issues with them. About a year later, we began bringing him more frequently to daycare, and when we came for pick up and asked how it went, the employees were saying "Well he was really vocal. He barks a lot. It's just a lot." And the frustrating part about it, is the look on their face when they tell us that. I mean come on, I can only imagine that he barks... he is at doggy daycare and playing with other dogs all day long. Also, ANY TIME I walk inside, I hear dogs barking the entire time. I didn't think that would be frowned upon by the employees who work at a doggy daycare. Ever since we kept hearing things like that, we started only bringing him in every 2-3 weeks for grooming only. We gave them instructions to please keep his water bowl out of his cage, because he likes to play with it. When my fiance picked him up, his paws were soaked in water, as well as his face. They never offered to blow dry him down, and the groomer just gave him to us and she said "He was really good today. A lot better than he usually is." I want to take my dog to a place where I know he is loved, not a place where they look down on him because he barks, etc. It makes me sad to think about how the employees there treat the dogs, and it is truly shocking to me that they feel comfortable enough to grin and make comments like this to pet owners. Highly recommend NOT taking your dogs here... I should have read more of the reviews before sending him.

This place has become a complete dumpster fire in the last 12-18 months. Turnover is extremely high (even at the manager level), nobody answers the phone, groomers frequently don't show up for their scheduled shifts, and there seemingly is never enough staff to properly monitor each area. I've seen numerous disagreements between dogs that last way too long because nobody is paying attention. There are several other facilities within a couple of blocks -- take your dog to one of them instead.

I have been going to City Dog for a few years. I now take Tyrone to this location and they are awesome. Starting with Leanna (manager) (spelling?), she is so helpful and so good with the clients. All of her staff have the same professionalism and they are all so nice. Tyrone feels at home there and he is always so happy when I leave him there.

Havent been back. As you can tell my dog and Inloved CityDog pre-Covid frequenting CityDog! Culver City for nearly 4-1/2 years. During the last two years during Covid, use of CitDog services was limited as I was working from home but in the first year I purchased daycare packages in the hopes to continue to support your location as my preferred place to bring my dog for daycare, boarding and trim and style services. I have been a devoted and loyal customer of all their offerings for these last 4-1/2 years. Unfortunately given some experiences in late 2022 - I the quality and caliber of care and service is not what it was. On one visit I requested two walks - which he received. Unbeknownst to me - someon added a "nap" service to his stay which I didn't request so he was out in a den where he was retrieved when I picked him up. Another day I asked for an afternoon walk, which upon pick up, I came to find did not happen. On both occasions, the individual working the front desk was the same and in both instances they were unable to answer my questions about why he was put in a den for a nap (which I have never requested) or why his walk didn't happen. Beyond the client service and interactions I had, which left much to be desired, my dog also came home absolutely smelling awful (like dog pee) necessitating a full bath at home. And I barely saw staff in the playpens interacting or cleaning when I checked the cameras. Not cool and not how it's sold. I'm not sure what happened with this location but it used to be an absolutely great experience, not anymore. We haven't been back since and based on the latest reviews, doesn't doubt like much has changed. It's a real shame.

They are so professional here and take such amazing care of my pup. Any issue that's happened has been resolved instantly and I feel like my pup is safe when I leave him here. Last week, I went to drop Lando off at daycare and he had his paws on the gate excited to go in. He walks in with the team and doesn't look back. He was NOT like this his first day. The team has slowly gained his trust and make him excited to go to daycare. Grooming services are also great.

We began taking our small Havanese to Citydog! for daycare, grooming and boarding since the day it opened. As our dog will be 12 in April, it has been at least 11 years. No more. It has deteriorated and gone downhill over the years. Grooming appointments cancelled at the last moment and being lied to about the reason. In one instance, we were told the groomer was sick, but he said that was a lie and that they cancelled all of his appointments because they wanted to close early. Also, the facility often appears to be understaffed. Earlier this week , when I went to pick up my dog from daycare, there was only one staff member on site, and I could hear dogs barking and possibly also fighting. Recently, a small dog was killed by bigger dogs who should not have been anywhere near small dogs, particularly in an environment that was supposed to unsupervised, but obviously was not. I will no longer bring my dog here for daycare because I am concerned for her safety. On Wednesday of this past week, our dog had a grooming appointment, but when we arrived we were told that they did not have one of the products we required, even though we were assured when the appointment was made that they would have all that was needed. We were told to bring her in on Saturday and that they would have everything needed and that the service would be comped because of the inconvenience. When we got there, we were informed that Peter, the manager, was to have brought it, but failed to do so. Calls to Peter went unanswered. Finally, someone was able to reach Peter, the purported manager, who said that he had overslept!! Five and a half hours, we were finally able to retrieve our dog from what was to have been a 45 minute procedure. And they charged us as well. I told the E person behind the desk that the amount charged should be paid to the groomer and not retained by Citydog. Never again.

The first time I brought my dog here it was great but each time it's been worse and worse. Once he came back with kennel cough after I called and made sure they hadn't had any sick dogs and it eventually became pneumonia and then got my other 2 dogs sick so I had to pay for 3 dogs to be quarantined at the vet. They say they bathe him but he comes back smelling worse. The facility always smells and they don't consistently post pics of him in the report card. They also had a dog stolen recently.

Mavis loves to come here. It's climate controlled and has great supervision. They feed dogs individually so no stealing or food aggression. Their groomers on premise are amazing. Best nail grind even if it's priced a little higher than other groomers. I love that it's 7a-9p. That allows enough time for dad to go to work for a full day and it's located near lots of offices. We had been using a different doggy day care that had more restricted drop off and pick up hours. Our puppy is very energetic and has to be bumped up to the medium size room from the small room but I'm sure she loves it. Mavis likes big dogs at dog parks. TLDR: great place make an appt to see if your dog is a good fit "meet and greet"

Despite our clear written instructions ( they have you fill out a form) not to shave our cockapoo, they shaved him down to his bare skin and also nicked his skin in one area. It appeared the groomer was lazy and unilaterally decided to shave him without even informing us. In speaking with the manager, she could have cared less. Oh yeah and this appointment was after a few last minute cancellations on their end. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK FOR GROOMING! Terrible service !!!!

I discovered Cityclub on the Web. I was looking for a convenient daycare I could leave my dog at when I had medical appointments at the nearby Veterans Hospital. Cityclub is but a five minute drive away, it's long operating day was a plus but the no reservation policy sold me. The facility and staff couldn't be more welcoming. My little girl felt right at home from the moment we first entered the building. Pricing is way below what I had been charged at other daycares which were not as well organized as Cityclub. A first rate experience all the way and I will definitely use them Frequently.

So glad this place moved into West LA! After a terrible experience at K9s only, I was hesitant to try another day care, but I am so glad I found Citydog! I took my dog in for an initial evaluation, and she passed with flying colors. She loved the staff and quickly made some new friends. I was very impressed with how friendly everyone was; the owner came up and introduced himself while I was taking a tour of the facilities. The trial program was great, too! They took my dog into a room where she could see the other dogs, and then they introduced her to dogs of a similar size and temperament until she was in a pack with about 7 other dogs. Citydog! has done a great job. They have 5 yards, and separating dogs by size AND temperant is fantastic. I'm so pleased with this place. The only "gripe" I have is the pricing. My other doggy day care charges $25 for daycare and $35 for boarding. Citydog! charges $35 for daycare, and $50 for boarding (plus $10 extra per night if your boarding includes a holiday)! :(

We've been coming to CityDog club for over a year now, the Culver City and West LA location. What drew us to this place was their cleanliness, hours, and the ability to watch the dogs from their webcams. Recently my dog has come home sick, throwing up and pooping blood. We were told that she would eat poop, which has never been a problem at daycare, until now. We treated her, thinking it was a one time thing. Then it happened again. We noticed from the webcams that there wouldn't be enough handlers in each play area, to watch the dogs and pick up their poop (it gets left there until the handlers could get to it). We wrote an email asking them to hire and/or schedule more handlers so this wouldn't keep happening. No response. It's infuriating. How can you expect one handler to take care of 30 dogs (sometimes more) by themselves? What if a fight breaks out? We'll be taking our dog elsewhere.

Don't trust them with your dogs! My dog came home with a bloody hole on her face and an injured eye, but employees did not even notice or make a report. When we informed them of what happened, they simply told us that "all injuries are at your discretion." What kind of surveillance are your dogs getting if they can get attacked and none of the employees even noticed? Absolutely irresponsible. I will not allow my dog to be exposed to such danger and negligence ever again. To think that I just bought a new 20-day package! If you love your dog, take him/her somewhere else.

Dog boarding OVERNIGHT (in my case) I'd been looking for a dog boarding spot for my pup...somewhere he's not confined all day and can be fun for him while I'm away. I found Citydog on Pontius ...the staff seems very nice and the dogs all seem very happy. After the meet and greet, I'm very comfortable leaving my pup there...they have several different rooms to separate different sized dogs ... overnight boarding $62 & up based on needs/upgrades...they have live video to ensure he's ok too and it seemed much cleaner than previous boarding locations...Reminder: I'm posting regarding OVERNIGHT/BOARDING.

My puppy son, Teddy, attends doggie day care at CityDog. The staff is warm/friendly, management is attentive, and location is perfect (right near the freeway so I can zip to work after drop off). Day care is very expensive, so it's important to go to a nice place like CityDog Club. Spend the extra few dollars per day to know your puppy is going to be treated nicely and supervised. They also have very easy boarding and grooming services which I use frequently. Teddy just got a hair cut for the first time and Jessie did an awesome job! 5/5 stars for this place!

I took my chocolate lab mix to have a bath and brush. We were greeted with big smiles and happy faces and we could see how much love they have for the dogs they care for. When my dog was ready he looked awesome. His nails were trimmed beautifully and he was the cleanest ever. Later that day a very cute report was sent to me with very personal remarks about the visit. I definitely would highly recommend City Dog Club.

Don't bother reaching out after you rejected my dog after years years of taking my money for six hour babysitting times you didn't have problems taking my money for all these years all of a sudden you can't style my dog and you can't give me an honest reason you can just jump off a cliff you'll never get my review removed from yelp in fact I will just make it worse you are the worst people on the planet ever since Maggie left you don't know how to run the place it's too bad that you build a perfectly wonderful environment for dogs I really bad management core human relationships and I wouldn't leave a rat to be watched by you would probably lose the rat they are rude Mismanaged not enough staff The WORST place for your loved dog they don't notice if the dog hadn't had WATER! Each time First thing my dog did was drink water and P she obviously didn't pay there either they don't have a staff that it tends to the dogs they basically are understaffed and very bad manners my friend had her dog lost when they walk the dog never found the dog they're putting out the bolo with the chip and hopefully they'll get their dog back please please save your animals do not do not ever ever ever go to City Dog in west Los Angeles down the block there's urban dog not as fancy but they care about your animal they hold you animal they make sure your animal drinks water they make sure your animal goes to the bathroom the even have a kitty pool in the backIn case it gets too warm they're kind less expensive and the owners are usually on the premises so it's a hands-on business not from a corporate office they are more of a mom and pop a ration it's too bad you ruined City Dog too bad pussy and pooch went out of business they were the best in Beverly Hills the best style bar everything I just guess they couldn't keep up the rent I never had a problem with them styling her I never had a problem with anyone styling except City Dog she has been groomed monthly for four years and for four years City Dog took all of my money for daycare and then screwed us with the grooming even after I paid and gave extra tips they were very rude and said you can't have your dog groomed here anymore without explanation without being kind and without an apology after I'veSpent over $5000 in Doggy Day Care at least please save your animals go to urban dog down the block or the loved dog Blue Pooch is amazing there Japanese Groomers who do an amazing job takes them 3 to 4 hours price is fair never a bad experience there they are one of the best Groomers in Los Angeles they're not a chain another mom Papa Operation

These 5 stars are for Jessie, groomer extraordinaire! She has been doing an amazing job styling my mini-poodle for several years, with a cut that continues to look great as it grows out. It is always a pleasure to see Jessie's smiling face and she never fails to welcome my dog with love and affection.

Update: this review is regarding management, not the people who work there (they're great and do all they can). What I've noticed is that the management purposely understaffs. There will sometimes only be 2 people working the entire place. This means that 1 person will have to watch 50+ dogs across 2 play areas. How will a fight be stopped between the dog if it happens. The time you see more workers is likely when someone has booked grooming. I emailed management regarding this issue and they never got back to me. We got a refund and now take our dog to a place where they don't purposely understaff for profit. I love this place! Everyone who works here is so nice. If you do daycare with your dog often they usually will know your dog by name. They have multiple sections for small medium and big dogs. The web cam is always nice so you can check up on them. It's also convenient that they have a high tech looking grooming station so if your pup gets dirty they can just get groomed afterwards.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've been taking my dog to here for 10 years for baths and I've never had any problems, but after today I will never be going back. I had an appointment at 12:30 pm for my dog to get a bath. I showed up early and the guy at the front told me they could not take him because his appointment is at 12:30. I looked at my phone and it was 12:30 on the dot. He then told me they needed a copy of my dog's vaccinations, even though I uploaded it already and confirmed when I made the appointment that they had it. He then unwillingly agreed to take my dog to the appointment he already had scheduled. I told him he needed to pick up my dog because he has anxiety and he would not pick up my dog. 30 minutes later the same employee called me to tell me how could not find my dog's vaccinations. I uploaded it again and then emailed it twice before he could find it. I've never had this problem before. I came back at 2pm to pick up my dog and they told me they were running behind and hadn't even started his bath. I was furious because they could have informed me when I brought that they were running behind and asked me to bring him back or reschedule. They could have also called me in the hour and a half he was sitting there to let me know that they had not started his bath. They said to bring him back tomorrow for a free bath, but I said he needed to be washed now as I have a job. They texted me 45 minutes later saying my dog was ready. When I came to pick up my dog, his paws were soaking wet and were black covered in dirt. I picked up his paw to feel it and saw both dog and human hair stuck to the bottom of my dog's paw. When I told the same employee I spoke to earlier, he did not believe me and accused me of lying. Another employee came and could obviously see my dog's paws were wet and dirty. She offered to blow dry his paws but I refused because my dog had been there for almost 3 hours at this point. They then told me I would not be charged and I laughed and said "charged for what you didn't even clean him in the entire 3 hours he's been here". The quality of service I received as well as unprofessional attitude and the lack of remorse by the staff is the reason I will not be returning here.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. I was looking for a place for my dog Luna to stay while I have some business meetings during the day. I normally work from home, but my dog is very socialized and loves playing with other dogs. I found Citydog and though it would be a great place for Luna. I was absolutely wrong. I left Luna there for about 6 hours one day and when I picked her up she seemed scared. When we got home she was whining and putting her tail between her legs. She snapped at me when I tried to look closer at what was wrong. She is normally a very sweet dog and never does this. Finally she warmed up to me and I checked on her belly and she had a puncture wound that looked like a bite wound. I was so angry, I called Citydog immediately and the employees were not helpful at all, they just said they didn't see anything happen and that she probably did it herself. Wow, total lack of sympathy, and the manager only offered me a discount off my next visit. I will never come here again. I had to take Luna to the vet for that wound and she was given antibiotics. Luckily she will recover, but I should've listened to the other reviews about Citydog allowing aggressive dogs to board there amongst all the rest of the dogs, including smaller dogs. Overall a very disappointing experience.

I have a few problems with this place. (tldr: no basic training as advertised, inadequate facilities for larger dogs, no stimulation, and poor communication from staff.) 1. False advertising. Their website says "Citydog! Club dog daycare includes complimentary basic training provided for intellectual stimulation. Dogs will fall in love with our alpha dog handlers who are lovable, compassionate and assertive." FALSE. I was told that my dog jumps the 4 foot gates in between the play rooms and that it was a safety hazard for her and the other dogs. I asked if they offered any kind of training (I was even willing to pay extra) to help with the jumping, as my dog doesn't do this at home and I have no way to replicate the environment on my own. They said they don't do training anymore and haven't for a long time. They said I either need to train my dog not to jump over the gates or she had to go. 2. Inadequate facilities See the jumping problem above. In my opinion, 4 foot high gates are not sufficient to keep larger dogs in an area. I am sure other dogs, like mine, will easily get out of the areas which is a problem. In fact, I have read other review which state that they had the same problem with their larger dogs. 3. No toys or stimulation The photos on the website show a fun little room with ramps and things for the dogs to play on. This location has none of that. It is a warehouse room with no natural light, no windows, no toys, and no stimulation. Just elevated beds around the edges of the room. I have checked in on the webcams and have never seen any of the handlers playing with the dogs. No wonder the dogs are trying to escape. 4. Poor communication from staff I got told that if my dog didn't stop jumping over the gate, she wouldn't be able to come back. I spoke in the morning at drop off with some staff about getting recommendations for trainers or other ways to help address the jumping. When I picked my dog up that evening, I was told she couldn't come back again. When I asked if I would be getting my package refunded, I was told I needed to speak with a manager. I was eventually able to get a refund after I called in the next day. I found the entire way this was handled unprofessional and inappropriate. Why tell me that you would work with me on solutions only to tell me my dog can't come back a few hours later?

I had to board my little 1 year old cavalier King Charles spaniel and I chose Citydog! Club based in recommendations from friends. I just picked him up and have been spying on him through the cameras all week! He has had a GREAT time!! And is wonderful spirits! His report card even said he had a little crush on another dog (blushing) but this is why they require all dogs to be spayed/neutered and are always quick to intervene WITH KINDNESS!!! They were able to teach my dog that this wasn't the right behavior and KINDLY AND LOVINGLY correct his behavior! I cannot say thank you enough for making my lil pup as happy and comfortable away from me and his home and providing me with peace of mind to enjoy my vacation without worrying about my little man! I also have to say it's music to my ears when I am picking up Rawlie (my dog) from daycare and it's 7 pm and even though the staff has been working on the clock a full day, when I ask if they are ready to go home the response was "almost, but this is the best part of my day - now that I'm done with responsibilities I just get to go play with the dogs!" -- this just melts my heart and reassures me that Citydog! Hires true dog lovers and I'm so grateful!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

We just celebrated our little girl's 1st Birthday at Citydog at the West Los Angeles location. We are extremely happy with the service and hospitality of everyone at Citydog . All the stuff members were so friendly and helpful. Specially Serene, she went above and beyond to make this day super fun and special. Not only did she keep in touch with us though out the weeks of planning but she provided us with lots of fun ideas. We are thankful to everyone at Citydog.

Over a year now and still satisfied. We use the same groomer every six weeks and our dogs love her! That's right.. it's dogs now.. Plural. We adopted a little min-pin so now she accompanies her brother for his time consuming grooming process and gets her nails did. We've used Citydog for their daycare as well. It's also worked out great for last minute trips when we haven't been able to find a sitter. I recommend this place to everyone!

Grooming - I've been going to Citydog for six years, and they always do a great job grooming my bichonpoo. (I went to Jaymee for many years, and she is awesome but she left.) Now I go to Jessie, who is also fantastic. She took extra time, love, and care to give my dog the perfect haircut (as she always does). And I love her cheery, positive attitude. She's a keeper! Daycare - I've also used their doggy daycare services, which are great. I can watch my dog remotely via their cameras, and the staff is so friendly and caring, they sometimes send me pictures of my pooch.

Left my girl here for 8 nights. She was very well taken care of at the Pontius Avenue, West Los Angeles location. Everyone I spoke with via phone or in person was friendly, capable, courteous, and professional. They seemed to all know Blue--and that she was a bit more timid and shy. I appreciated how they handled and their honesty in how she missed to miss us and preferred to be alone. I also watched on the webcam. There was always a handler with the dogs. Treating them well, cleaning after them, providing water, etc. For my dog's temperament a house sitter or private day care is preferable; however this is my #1 in a boarding daycare.

This place is your perfect example of "big hat and no cattle". Very clean, color coordinated "play" areas, and even a doggie cam. But NO TOYS, NO SOFAS, NO NOTHING to do! And the staff... Young, generally uncaring, busy on their cell phones and flirting with one another.. when they're even in the pen which is maybe 50% of the time because "we're short staffed". Their lack of attention to the dogs resulted in dogs continuously crowding my dog who was stressed because of the lack of anything to do and lack of love. So he nipped one of the dogs. Needless to say we pulled him out. We did get our prepaid month back that is why they get 2 stars. UPDATE I just received a call from the manager who apologized and committed to discuss my feedback with the team in order to make improvements. That's a great step that hopefully will make CityDogs bring their service up to expectations. I just added another star to my rating.

Apparently, I was holding off on putting in a review to try out their grooming service more than once... I think I've used their service at least three times so wayyy over due! I remember my first appointment here. I was able to get my dog in the same day. I appreciated the fact that they required proof of current vaccines. My little one was a little nervous about the echoing sounds of barking from the day care. But, thank goodness she's good once she realizes she's there for a just a grooming. The facility is huge from what I can tell. I like that the grooming section is up front, and you can actually watch through huge glass windows. The staff is extremely pleasant, and so sweet to my little drama queen. They don't judge her for her nervous ways, and her groomer really takes a gentle approach when she tries to take her as she clings to me for dear life. Her hair cut is always on point, and I swear she prances when we walk out the door! The cherry on top - it takes me less than two minutes from my garage to their lot! A million trillion stars for that bonus!

Love this place. Used to bring my dog here for grooming all the time. I remember they also do boarding, so I called them up when I needed to leave my dog for a night. They were super helpful, very informative about the process. I felt good leaving my pup there. Also enjoyed the live feed camera you can use when you leave your dog there. The next day my pup was happy to leave, a bit stressed, but was back to his self the following day. Would recommend :)

Love city dog club for Rosie. We have been coming here for 8 years...both fir grooming and day care. If they had an outdoors for the dogs to play in it would be 5 stars.

CityDog Club is the most impressive Doggie Day Care I have seen around town. I manage Class A High Rise office buildings in West Los Angeles and this place is nothing less than First Class. Everything from the staff, the decor (grass, walk paths, park benches, painted cloud ceilings, vibrant wall graphics), the top notch doggie training and service barks of perfection. Yesterday was the Meet and Greet (thorough assessment of my dogs behavior, observation of how they interact with groups of simillar sized dogs, their needs, etc). Today is their first full day of doggie bliss at City Dog; once we pulled into the parking lot they squeeled with excitement. I am thrilled to provide my 2 dogs the ultimate canine experience; they get to frolic all day and make new friends, take a nap to music, get fed or groomed if necessary. Go and check it out, you will be highly impressed with the cleanliness, the staff and all the amenities.

Took my dog (yellow lab) in for a deshedding treatment which involved a bath ($60) and special deshedding procedure ($20). Not only does my dog not smell like he had a bath but he is shedding 100x worse than he was before. It's as if the bright up all the loose hairs but didn't actually collect them. Biggest waste of $80 that I can imagine. I've spent this afternoon using afurminator to try and get this under control. Very frustrating. I did call to completion and they offered to brush him out again for free which is why I'm giving 2 stars interest of 1. Nice people but not a good service.
