Cityhotel am Thielenplatz

Convenient location. 6 minutes to Central Station. Small bed and small branket. Toilet design should be improved for privacy and shower water leaking out everywhere.

Really don't get the transparent bathroom design. Privacy is nice, even if you're with your spouse. Air was pretty thick in our room. Opened the windows until it was time to sleep. Pretty noisy outside. But that is to be expected in a central location of course. With the windows closed it was acceptable. Breakfast is pretty standard, nothing fancy, edible. Except for the coffee. In hotels I usually press espresso 3 or 4 times (depending on the line) to get something that is barely drinkable. But I was really happy with this one.

Nice, clean and updated rooms; good breakfast; and convenient location close to the train station. Friendly staff. However, I stayed in one of the few rooms that didn’t have A/C during a big heat wave. I slept poorly between the heat and the noise from the construction right below which started very early. As far as I see it, the main purpose of a hotel room is to have a comfortable place to sleep, so the rest of the nice stuff doesn’t matter. Glad to leave.

Cool hotel, very clean, awesome bed and pillow. The bathroom is new and clean, no mold. The bar next to the reception is staffed with nice bartenders and a good variety of whiskies :-) best had-to-stay due to bad weather i ever had

The hotel is conviniently located near the main train station with a lot of restaurants and shops around. The room was clean and functional. All good, thanks. I realized that by booking directly authentic site of smartxityhotels one can even get a discount. Will use it next time))

The rooms on the “design” style are nice, although strangely set up with the WC and shower on opposite sides of the room. While the room is clean and modern, the staff is rude and unfriendly. It’s a shame as there is potential if they improve their customer service. Location is fine and central and near to the main train station with an easy walk (even with luggage). There is only one elevator - an old one and even more strange. One other annoying thing is they have the old style keys that weigh a lot - no key card access.

Having stayed at the nearby sister-hotel previously, I had no hesitation in booking with the same group again on my return visit to Hannover. Conveniently located less than 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof and adjacent to a U-Bahn station, my room at the Designhotel was comfortable if small for a supposed 4* hotel. The room was well laid out with some nice features although the bed was a little soft for my liking. I didn't use the on-site bar but I did take breakfast in the morning which was well-stocked with all of the usual items. I would certainly use this hotel again.

This is a central hotel, great for exploring the city. Room would need you to be on very open and friendly terms with whomever you are sharing it with. Breakfast good. No parking, even though the booking app said it had. Funniest is the lift, small doors, opens up inside to a huge lift, carpets on the walls and ceiling, bench seat, huge mirror. Feels like you are in a porn movie.
