You do not expect much from a hotel with EUR78/night rooms. It has to be functional and adequate. So it was. Very convenient location, some 5 to 10 min from main train station and Hannover famous shopping district (where you can easily get lost). Tiny reception, which checks you and in and out in no time. Budget amenities, but everything is clean. I have read some reports below about pillows: mine was perfect, but if you need larger one, they are prepared to provide for one, just ask. ||What was not good was heating was either minimal or not heating at all, I failed to tell the difference. Though under the blanket it was all right for me. ||Otherwise, as I said above, it is a budget hotel with adequate amenities, which are working, good quality bed (very important!), quiet and clean. ||Breakfast was good, @EUR10, with reasonable spread. Maybe sitting arrangement was not up to my taste: no individual tables, instead tables for about 6 people. Otherwise, brewed coffee was on every table, or you can make an espresso/cappuccino for yourself from the machine. ||Hotel is not a small one as someone below claimed: it is in fact a very big one. And another one from the same chain about 500 m down the road. When I was checking out it was fully booked! Which will tell you it is a very good value for money and a popular choice.

I stayed here for a business trip this week. The hotel room was ok but (to conserve energy I guess) they installed neon lights in each room. It sucks when you turn on lights and you get the impression that you wake up in an office. ||I slept well though, but the bed was at 70 cm too narrow to be very comfortable. For the price I paid this was not ok. ||So I will avoid in the future as I think the value of the hotel doesn’t represents what it costs.

We had a big room on the 11th floor which was big and clean. The view from the room was very nice. There was no mirror in the room which was not a big deal but it can be handy to have it. The hotel offers parking (11 euros for 24 h) but it does not say on the website where the parking garage is located. It is behind the hotel in a garage which has the 3rd & 4th floor parking spaces available for the hotel. The personnel is friendly. A free welcome drink is offered which is a nice extra.

For the second time over a 9 month period, I booked the Concorde, but now on a private tour to Berlin for 4 nights with my girlfriend. I was not disappointed - we love the modern style of the building and the rooms and interior. The location in the eastern part of Charlotenburg is excellent even if your main plan is to visit central Berlin (Mitte), the metro and S bahn are only a short walk away. And with Kurfürstendam shopping and restaurant area nearby, you do not miss much if you prefer to explore the neighborhood. Everything worked nearly perfectly, the service was very good, the amenities was all there and the breakfast was superior. For the rate we managed to book, a particularly good deal, I must say (prepaid, however). The only negative were 2 issues - first the double bed was very hard, and not according to the standards of a 5 star hotel. Secondly, we had problems understanding the rules of changing the linens. It was not changed until we asked for it, but this was not clearly understood when checking in and staying there. After 3 nights we specifically asked for a linen change, they said they would do it, but nothing happened. I would love to give the Concorde a 5 star, and if the hotel management look into these 2 issues for our next stay, I probably will!

Stayed there for 5 nights in November. Hotel was friendly at reception||and breakfast. Upon recommendation from the reception, bought an internet card for wireless connection in the room. Room was clean, basic and without much surprise. Bed is nice and firm, lighting was rather dark. Bathroom was OK but the shower curtain has an unpleasant smell. Breakfast was good with reasonable choice. Many good resturants||in the areas.

The day after I arrived the elevators decided they weren’t going to work any more; one PowerPoint in my room worked the others not and the breakfast is absolutely dismal. The final nail in the coffin for me is that the Wi-Fi is intermittent at best.||There has been a woeful lack of investment in the infrastructure of this establishment. For the same price you can get all of the above services at any number of hotels in Hannover.

The hotel which can be seen from the train as you arrive at Hannover station from Mannheim is one of a few in the city called City Hotel confusing.||||The hotel is a 8 to ten minute walk from the station regardless which exit you choose: front or rear.||||The room was clean and tidy and the staff a cheerful bunch. The accommodation was on the higher level and had a good view over the city although the room had no tea or coffee making facilities.||||We did not dine in the hotel but eat out. The Old town or city center was ten minutes away and yet again sufficient for a few hours of walking round.

Let me be clear - I stayed at this hotel during one of Hannover Messe's big trade fairs. All hotels' rates shoot up when one of these fairs is on. However, for €250 one still expects a commensurate level of comfort. Cityhotel does not merit this price.||||At the rates being advertised, the value/comfort equation would have been better balanced.||||Despite that, the (spartan) room met my general expectations of cleanliness. I didn't find the bed particularly comfortable, but the bathroom was serviceable and free of the annoying niggles one sometimes finds in budget hotels - leaky shower heads, inadequate shower screens, flooded floors, etc.||||Breakfast was certainly the highlight, although again at the price I paid for the room, I'd expect not to have to pay for this as an extra. A good selection of hot and cold buffet plates, not overly busy.||||Very handy location-wise, just five minutes' stroll to the Hauptbahnhof.||||And the reception team also deserve a mention: friendly and welcoming, even for a late arrival like myself.

Yelp
This was definitely not my favorite hotel or one that I would go on vacation to, but the location for my needs could not have been any better. It is a quiet, clean, honest and simple hotel. Breakfast was included and decent. And it was a 1 minute walk to go to work. Now that's a treat!
