Overall, a very pleasant stay! Everything was exceptionally clean — from the room to the facilities — and even the bath towels and pool towels smelled amazing, which really added to the comfort. The staff were polite and helpful, and the location was convenient. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the gym could be better maintained and sanitized, and the breakfast could offer a wider selection. Still, I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again..

Low price for a nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, with small ref, closet space, and small vault. The toilet has a bath tub. Their water heater is not functioning properly. The hotel has a pool, gym, a restaurant, and meeting rooms/ conference rooms. The building is only 2 floors high. It has plenty of parking. The location is within the city center, and near fastfoods and mall.

*Nice and clean rooms *Strong AC *Delicious breakfast *Staff were very nice and service-oriented *Strong water pressure and clean toilets The only downside is the wifi. Does not work well in the annex or new rooms. No phone reception as well. We have to transfer to the main building in the hopes of having a better wifi signal but to no avail. Frontdesk told me it has been their problem for quite a long time. Luckily phone signal is available in the main hotel area as we have meetings to attend to. If wifi is not a problem for you, this is a value for money hotel. Very affordable and has free airport transfers to/from the airport. It is also near Robinsons and some fast food chain.

We stayed for 1 night prior to a flight from the local airport and had a pretty bad stay. We knew it would be basic, but the room was more like a cell. The air con unit had been poorly fitted and had a large gap around the side, meaning the heat and mozzies could get in. We had to jam furniture against the unit to try and close the gap. The bed was rock hard. The wifi did not work well in the room (which was on the second floor). Noise proofing was terrible. There were screaming children playing in the pool until 11.30pm, despite the fact the pool closed at 10pm. We called reception twice to ask that they close the pool/stop the noise given that we had to get up at 3am, but they did not help. The only positive was the airport transfer, which was comfortable and on time. There's not much to do around the hotel- very limited restaurants and bars.

My pregnant sister and nephew had to wait for the food to be served for more than the expected time because the servers had miscommunications and weren’t able to properly distribute the food for the event we attended to. I kept asking for a specific time and they kept on circling back to “paantay na lang po”. The call time was early so we had high hopes that the food we paid for will be served as soon as possible according to the schedule. Sadly, they kept on serving other tables—ignoring us knowing we had stubs. Good for this hotel to receive notable recommendations and praises, I hope they can keep that image.

When checking in, we had to pay an extra 350 pesos, some kind of tax. When we went to breakfast, they told us that we had to pay extra for a child, although when booking, two children and two adults were formed. All night they moved furniture in the assembly hall, as if on the head with a creak. A disgusting hotel in terms of relations with guests. On the pfoto view from the windows

Yelp
Artusia Hotel This was the last stay on a family vacation (three from the States and five from here in the Philippines) to visit the Underground River and go island hopping in El Nido. This was the worst part of the entire trip. I'm from the US, so I asked the ones from here if I was simply not used to how things are here, but they told me it's not up to their standards as well. The room my wife and I stayed in was dirty, the toilet was stained, the tiles chipped, there were lights that only came on if you wiggled the wires, and signs of old electrical devices that left scorch marks in the still hanging cables and on the wall. There was no hot water when I showered. It was so cold I couldn't even take a proper shower. There was exposed cables under the AC unit of the unit above ours, which also had a big piece of rusty metal hanging off it. There is a window that opens outside in the shower that does NOT have privacy glass. The exhaust fan that was installed, was apparently done by someone too lazy to remove the price either before or after install. Maybe they planned to try to return it? Then there is the bland tasteless breakfast they serve. The "juice" they had tasted like water...before I added ice, which you have to do since the "juice" is not in a chilled dispenser. Even the corned beef with onions somehow tasted watered down. I asked for simple scrambled eggs and that was bland too. When I talked to the front desk, the only thing they asked was if I called about the hot water. I told them no, I was already done trying to take a shower and even if we were scheduled to stay another night, I had no intention of staying there anymore. Everything else was simply replied to with "okay." I'm sure after all this, some of you will still think I'm exaggerating, so I'll post pictures of our room and you can judge for yourself.

Yelp
Asturias hotel may not be the five star or even four star accommodation you were thinking, and prolly not on par with many three star hotels abroad, but when factoring in the level of comfort afforded locally (especially in the provincial setting), it actually is quite comfortable and has just the right amount of amenities. Air conditioning was cold enough, pool is large and water kept clean, menu may be lack luster, but being a person who needs to keep connected, free and fast Wi-Fi is something I wouldn't trade anything for.
