Ciudad Juárez International Airport

Today 31 December 2025 it seemed to be calm. Lots of children. I recommend wearing a mask as I am hearing lots of coughing and sneezing. Juárez is very cold today. The viva counter opened today at 10:30am. It is on the right when you come in. Volarías is next to it and was open when I arrived at 9:30am. It is my understanding that counters only open 2 hours before the days flight.

A very nice but small airport. Not very difficult to get in. Fast check in process. By the gates in the central area are nice cushioned seats to relax in while waiting for your flight. Very comfortable. The airport only has about 7 gates for flights. While waiting they have several restaurants and shops. They include Restaurants: La Libertad Cantina Mexicana, Chapa Carnes and Cantina, Johnny Rockets. Shops: NUX, Borreguita, Sunglasses hut, The Market. 4'stars because lack of amenities in the check in area and not very many flights which is inconvenient.

Small but efficient airport. Clean, easy to navigate, and staff was friendly. Security and boarding were quick — great experience overall!

There was no warning sign or anything indicating that if you step out the sliding doors just before getting your baggage , that you can not go back . I got off the flight and decided to go to the restroom quick with my children and than return to get my bags because there would be less people by the time I got back. There was sign that restrooms where that way so I walk out the doors and when I decided to go back in, was told I couldn’t and had to wait until the plane was cleared or one of the airline staff was unoccupied . I kept asking the guard how much longer and she told me she couldn’t hand it to me. Meanwhile my baggage was already on the conveyor already . Waited for 40 minutes aleast . Many other passengers committed this mistake BECAUSE THERE IS NO SIGN THATS SAYS TO NOT GO THROUGH THE SLIDING DOORS OR YOU CAN NOT COME BACK IN THE BAGGAGE CLAIM AREA !!!!!!! no sign on the doors or anywhere near these doors

The airport has been renovated with many more amenities and much greater comfort than before. It has been a good investment, and now the airport looks much more suitable for what the city needs.

As this airport is located close to the border, security coming into this airport is more strict than other local airport. The airport is still under development for over a year to expand the size, but I see no progress. There is two luggage belts at luggage area. The airport has added a walkway to the immigration area in recent days. Parking here even a day is very expensive, I thought.

They have a lounge ro be comfortable while you wait. A few days ago we went and were able to enter and do my work while waiting for our flight. It was expensive, but nice to have a warm comfortable place to work and wait. Today they wouldn't let us go to the lounge early... only 3 hours before our flight... not worth the price!
