Every time I visit CIVANA, I leave feeling so good, so healed, and so grounded. This place never ceases to amaze me. I was fortunate enough to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve here this year, and it was the perfect way to start the new year on the right path.||One experience, in particular, stood out to me and truly changed my life: Guided by the Herd, an equine experience offered at CIVANA. During this experience, we connected with horses in a way that was deeply healing and grounding. We learned to observe their behaviors, understand their energy, and build trust with these incredible animals. Horses, with their gentle strength and profound sensitivity, mirror our emotions and teach us how to stay present and open-hearted. It was one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking healing, grounding, or simply the joy of spending time with these wonderful beings.||As always, the resort was pristine, with noticeable improvements since my last visit. The service was impeccable, the class programming was fantastic, and I especially loved closing out the year with a sound bath at 11 p.m., setting the tone for a new year full of positive energy.||I highly suggest CIVANA to anyone looking for a transformative travel experience. It’s perfect for solo travelers—especially women, as it feels incredibly safe—but also ideal for families, couples, or friends. It’s a place where you can truly discover yourself while feeling completely at ease.||CIVANA is more than a resort; it’s a sanctuary for growth, healing, and connection. I can’t recommend it enough.

Incredible yoga and meditation classes are included with your stay, you sign up for the ones you'd like to go to (only a few are an additional charge). Had a fabulous time! If you're visiting from out of town definitely do a hike, the landscape is so unique!

I love this Spa and will definitely be back. They had a lot of Co-Ed amenities which I enjoyed spending time with my hubby. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The Spa was also very clean. I enjoyed the Civana Calm (magnesium exfoliate with magnesium oil message) from Aaron. This service was magical, and Aaron went above and beyond to make my experience amazing. My skin was so smooth and I slept like a rock that night. I highly recommend this wonderful place.

Google
I had the most amazing experience at Civana. The location was beautiful, the resort itself is top-tier. Our room was the spa king and it was really nice. ||You can rent bikes to go into town which was super fun. My favorite part was the classes, starting your day meditating and end it with a sound bath was the most relaxing experience. Face yoga was also a favorite. ||Lastly, the staff was INCREDIBLE. Ryan, our bellman, was so helpful and kind. Also had a great experience with Tera and the other staff members answered all of our questions! ||Only down side... the restaurants were good, but expensive for small portions. GET THE CHAI FROM SEED IT'S MADE IN HOUSE AND IT'S AMAZING! But otherwise, I'd probably get food elsewhere. ||This was a once in a lifetime experience and I am so grateful I was able to enjoy Civana!!

Google
My experience at CIVANA was absolutely amazing. From the top-notch classes to the stunning resort and amenities, everything exceeded my expectations. We also had the opportunity to explore the nearby Carefree area, which added to the overall experience. In my opinion, it felt like the Banff of Arizona (Canadians will understand this reference). The only regret we had was only staying for two days before heading to Scottsdale for the rest of our vacation. I highly recommend staying for a minimum of three days to fully enjoy everything CIVANA has to offer. Overall, it was a first-class, beautiful 5-star experience.

Google
I did the day pass only. The spa staff were excellent very friendly and hospitable. The spa is very clean and cozy. I give three stars because the classes I wanted to do were at capacity which I did not know until after I purchased the day pass. So I had to attend classes I really didn't have an interest in. Had I known that classes had a max capacity I would've purchased a day pass with a spa treatment that would have made for a better experience. I asked to upgrade to a spa treatment day pass when I arrived and was told I was unable to. I wouldn't recommend a day pass unless you can book well in advance to get the classes you'd like or if you're doing a spa treatment. Other than that there's a sauna, steam room, and heated pools which were standard.

What a wonderful and special place CIVANA is! Set in the magnificent desert of Carefree, Arizona this wellness spa is a gem! With a myriad of classes from yoga to meditation to trx, they truly offer it all. We enjoyed a spa treatment daily along with healthy food and beautiful accommodations. It was just magical!!!!

Yelp
A beautiful relaxing place for your well being. When you want quiet and solitude, come visit CIVANA for a spa treatment. You become so relaxed you may drift off. Become invigorated after your treatment or just enjoy the experience with continued rest. Cafe and sit down dining on site. Excellent experience. They have their own parking lot.

Yelp
Spent a full day here and I have never walked out of an establishment feeling more refreshed. The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. I had a massage that applied the perfect amount of pressure and released tensions I didn't even know I had. I also attended two group classes that taught me so much about myself. I would place my life in these expert's hands because they know what they're doing. It is easy to feel at ease in great company, which this place certifies attracts.

Yelp
I cannot recommend Civana enough if you're looking for a relaxing getaway! I had such an amazing experience here. Everything about this place is intentional and luxurious. I came for a girls weekend and we enjoyed every aspect of Civana. Firstly, the grounds were not crowded at all which was great because it allowed us to really enjoy the space. Second the customer service is absolutely spot on! Everyone from the receptionist to the class instructors to the restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. I also loved that upon arrival they give you a water bottle which is super convenient. They have a variety of wellness classes you can choose from. My friend enjoyed the numerology class while I really enjoyed the workout classes. There are a few places to eat but I will say they are pricey. Overall I am looking forward to building my wellness trip again at Civana. 10/10 hands down!

Yelp
Wow, what a way to treat yourself. Visited CIVANA in June 2024 and it was so worth it. As many mentioned before the differences between staying at Miraval but this resort cuts pretty close. At CIVANA you were able to stay at the resort without purchasing the all-inclusive pass. We did this and the rates were reasonable. After our visit we were only $200 dollar short of the all-inclusive rate with one less spa treatment. We utilize all amenities, including up to two pre-book classes. They offer complementary (included in the resort fee) and fee based classes. Since we booked in advance, the availability was wide open and could book as early as six weeks prior to your stay. This came in handy as once we got close to our arrival most of the classes were booked to capacity. The complaint with the classes is that some were the same just with different names. The class descriptions could slightly more descriptive. The service was high-quality and nothing to complain about. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We did have a slight hiccup with our room, but they were able resolve the problem Quickly. They even addressed things that we didn't even notice and was quick to come to a resolution. The spa itself deserves 10 stars. It was spacious, luxe, and offered a great amount of amenities. It had a hydrotherapy circuit, steam room, sauna, additional pool and several areas to relax in. The only complaint was since it was during the summer, the spa closed at 4:30PM (summer hours). It was packed! There was about 20 people waiting for a spa service at 2:15PM which it became crowded. The food was fresh and farm to table. Portions were on the smaller side for the amount you paid, but everything was flavorful. Highly recommend the chicken dish for dinner. The Matcha pancakes for breakfast. And the turkey pesto Panini from the seed for lunch. There's not much in Carefree, AZ and everything closes in town on Sundays around five. Overall, highly recommend CIVANA as your next all inclusive spa destination.

Yelp
I visited for a full day via a resort pass day pass. This option was awesome for me since I was only in Phoenix for the weekend with my husband while he was working. I came in January so it was a bit too cold for the outdoor pool but I fully took advantage of the other amenities. I started off my day with an outdoor spin class on the tennis courts. It was great to be in the open air & we even heard some coyotes in the distance. Next I was off to the spa to use the steam room, sauna, cool hot circuit & cold bucket. Everything was very clean, peaceful & well kept. I had lunch at the cafe & enjoyed a kava drink as I walked the labyrinth. My last class of the day was face yoga. I thought it was very unique & educational. If the weather hadn't been so bad I would have stayed a bit longer for a sound bath but it was just too cold to enjoy an outdoor class. Overall I had a great time. The grounds were beautiful, complimentary water is available throughout and it's a very calming atmosphere. I'll be back again I'm sure!

Every aspect of this place is well worth going! There were five of us and everything from dining ,smoothies, adult beverages all of the classes, The spa will definitely be going again. It is aesthetically pleasing and 100% relaxing.

Yelp
So glad we were able to come here on our girls weekend in Arizona! We got day passes to Civana and had a great time! We purchased day passes with a massage; as part of the guest pass you have access to: an outdoor pool, a eucalyptus steam room, a circuit room with a sauna, cold/hot pools, and a deluge. Also, the day spa pass comes with access to two classes per person that day. I took a really nice barre class and my friends went to a sound bath meditation. Unfortunately, no one told us to book the classes ahead of time so nothing else was available. The temperature of the water at the pool was perfect, everything was clean and well maintained. The massages were nice and relaxing as well. One thing we didn't love was the fact that the cafe and the pool side drinks/food closed at 4. Our massage service wasn't until 6:30 so we were quite hungry most of the day. The drinks at the bar were underwhelming and the food from Terras, the onsite restaurant was just ok. We really wanted smoothies but you couldn't get one after 4 pm!

Yelp
Amazing hikes and trail guides! Also LOVED the classes! However the front desk staff was terribly confused...the many billing issues that we repeatedly encountered are not worth the headache.

Yelp
Nice resort, but no Miraval. (First world problems, here!) We discovered CIVANA on a Google search for a girlfriend getaway. Overall, very nice, beautiful and great spa. Definitely a great resort and incredible landscape. The experience was definitely nice, but I think I may have been spoiled by going to Miraval. The spa was beautiful but the services weren't quite 5 star. The hotel rooms were underwhelming, and the walls were really thin - thankfully I went during a slow time in November, so it wasn't too loud, but I could hear every person walking by and talking. That said, the spa king TUB in the room was amazing. The food was good but got old after 4 days there, as there were no specials to mix things up? That said, excellent customer service, awesome free water bottle on check in, and generally two thumbs up! PS Definitely worth paying for an amazing hike. The intermediate was easy, IMO, but beautiful and worth doing!

Yelp
My bachelorette weekend at Civana was absolutely unforgettable. Inspired by a YouTuber's solo bach retreat, I trusted their recommendation so much that I didn't delve deeply into other reviews or details. There was a bit of apprehension about whether the experience would live up to my expectations, especially given the price tag. However, the moment we arrived, any doubts evaporated. We kicked off our stay with some unexpectedly fantastic fitness and hiking classes. The food was nothing short of amazing, easily the highlight of our visit. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time. Although we ventured out for a few nights, in hindsight, I realize I would have been perfectly content staying within Civana's serene confines for the entire trip. The spa experience was unparalleled, leaving us wishing we had booked more time to enjoy all the amenities. One thing to note is that many activities come with an additional cost, which was a bit surprising considering the already premium room rates. However, booking through AMEX offered some credits, making the overall value more palatable. Despite the added expenses, I'm already yearning to return to Civana to indulge in the food, spa, and relaxation all over again. It was undeniably worth it for the quality and service we received.

Yelp
Wow this was the most perfect restorative girls getaway my friend and I could have asked for!!! Civana was a dream come true with an incredible spa, a la carte activities such as hiking, yoga, sound bowl sessions and much more! The best part is that this wellness resort has a bar and cocktails available! We started the trip off right with a fun mixology class after we checked in. The drinks were delicious and beautiful! The spa was incredible. Definitely check in as early as you can to take advantage of the spa facilities including hot/cold pools, sauna, steam rooms, and outdoor pool with full service food & drinks! There's also an amazing relaxation area with beautiful views upstairs. There's beds and lounge areas for you to nap as you please. We felt incredibly zen and calm after our spa day! You get complimentary water bottles in your room upon arrival. We reserved and tried out several other classes and activities including sound bowl session, yoga, hiking and more. There's more we wanted to try but just couldn't fit it all in! Our only complaint was the disappointing room service meals. For the price and how nice the place is, the in room dining was kind of a let down. It was delivered in flimsy containers and the food was mediocre and a very small amount. Perhaps it would have been better if we tried the restaurant. We spent about $100 for the in room dining so would have expected something nice orworth the money. We feel like they should charge less for the in room dining as we just didn't feel like it was worth it or as great and up to par with the rest of our experiences at Civana. The poolside food/drinks and service were fantastic! The rooms were nice and cozy, equipped with bathrobes, cute coffee/tea/water station and the best bathroom toiletry products! There's also an empty mini fridge we used. Overall this was an amazing, memorable and restorative experience for my friend and I! We definitely want to come back!

Yelp
Never visited a wellness resort before and this won't be my last time at CIVANA. The resort itself is stunning, with cacti, flowers, and beautiful architecture. It felt like I was transported to a serene wonderland and the stress of the world was nonexistent. I'm kicking myself for not visiting the outdoor fireplace at night or the other gardens and yoga lawn. My room was nice especially the bathroom and had a spacious patio, but so many mosquitoes the first night. I had at least 5 bites when I woke up. Staff was quick to have someone come out and treat my room and outdoor area and it helped a little. I would love to stay in the same room again when I return. The Seed cafe and Terras restaurant can be pricey-ish depending on your budget but almost everything I ordered was a 10/10 and so worth it. The ingredients were fresh, flavorful and health conscious. My faves were the salmon toast, matcha latte, rise and shine protein shake, and the sweet potato wedges. The only dish I wasn't a fan of was the mushroom bolognese, pretty underwhelming. Drink-wise, I was addicted to mezcalitas! I think I had one every day, so refreshing with the right amount of spice/smokiness (idk) from the mezcal. You have to try it! This is the best spa I've ever been to. So beautiful with gorgeous mountain views! Loved the relaxation area on the balcony and the aqua-therapy areas. Brittani was the sweetest person I encountered there, she gave me a great tour of the spa and talked about the culture at CIVANA. And she was right you can really tell people truly love working here, she was such a light! My massage with Terry was phenomenal as well the best deep massage I've had yet, to the point I needed her to lighten up a bit, but I also didn't want it to end. I wish I spent more time at the spa but I sandwiched it between two classes. At least 1/2 a day needs to be dedicated to the spa to get to experience everything, unless you plan to visit multiple times during your stay. I enjoyed all the classes I signed up for except for one, the class was fine but I learned I wasn't a Barre girly after 15 min and left. Standouts were the aerial yoga, breathing for life, journaling for transformation and a rebound trampoline class with Rachael Brooke, she was my favorite instructor all week. I ended up crying at her guided labyrinth meditation on my last night, she's truly remarkable and I hope to take a class with her again in the future. You start seeing the same people with each class you go to and I ended the week with a few new friends! It felt like we were all at camp going through our own journeys together, such beautiful connectedness. This wellness resort was far better than I expected. I kept saying I wish I could've stayed one more day. The staff are remarkable from the moment you step on the property, everyone is so kind and helpful, even when you come to the desk 3+ times on your first day asking for directions (sorry lol). The sweetest thing they did was leave a surprise gift for me in my room for my birthday: bubbly, a sweet card and healing crystals. The manager of the restaurant who saw me daily gave me a grapefruit hibiscus mimosa during my last morning. I hugged so many people on my way out, I was kind of bummed to leave. Thank you all for making my birthday a special one and see you next time!

Yelp
My friend and I were looking forward to spending the day at Civana. We bought the spa day pass on Resort Pass. For the price, we had high expectations! Parking was easy. No complaints. We checked in at the front and headed over to Terras for breakfast. We shared the Buckwheat Pancakes and sausage on the side. Tasted good but pricey for only 2 pancakes and an extra side order. Next we went to check out the rose garden. All the roses were dead. Very disappointing. As we walked through the resort, I noticed the hotel rooms looked pretty old and run down. Didn't get a chance to actually stay in a room but I would expect more for the price/night. The spa was by far the best part! Beautiful entrance. We got a locker and robe for our spa day. I wasn't a fan of the eucalyptus steam room. The eucalyptus was very overpowering! I enjoyed the sauna and hot and cold pools. I thought it was strange the shallowness of the hot and cold pools. You had to lie down to completely submerge. The neutral pool was deep. There was a bucket soak, but the temperature was neutral (not very exciting). The other cafe, Seed, was decent. The matchas are $9!! She billed me wrong but didn't fix it. We spent the rest of the day at the spa pool. Pool was relaxing. My only complaint for the pool is the menu says they stop serving smoothies at 4, but it's really 3:30. They also want you out of the spa by 4:30, which is fairly early. Yoga classes were decent but I have had better teachers who don't ask you to follow them on instagram after. The sound healing was in the ballroom with way too many people and a 1/4 of them started snoring. I recommend booking classes more than a week before your visit! All in all, I may go again when the weather isn't as hot for the spa and to try other classes and teachers. I would not recommend staying the night here, nor have every meal at the resort. The service was also mediocre but maybe it was a bad day for them!

Yelp
Really unhappy with the lack of flexibility and terrible customer service. I booked a day pass with 'bring a friend' and had reserved literally zero classes or services...I called in advance to ask if my payment could be credited toward a future use since I was called out of town on a medical emergency. The agent said "I don't think so" which then turned into a "no". Agent was very unkind and unhelpful. I had previously stayed at Civana and wanted to share it with a friend - but now they have lost me as a client. Plenty of other options in the area.

Yelp
After seeing a lot of buzz over the years, my husband and I made our way to Civana for a one night staycation recently. We'd both remembered the property from it's previous days as the Carefree Resort & Conference Center, so we were impressed with the renovation upon arrival and throughout our stay. Highlights of our stay were the wellness classes including Numerology and Yoga + Functional Movement with Anton. We also took a Journaling class, used the fitness center on our own, sat by the pool briefly, toured the spa, and had several meals/snacks at Seed Cafe. The majority of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful... Due to our short stay, we did not end up dining at Terras as we headed out to Cave Creek for our one dinner meal. We would both like to return and dine there next time, experience more classes and down time, as well as pamper ourselves in the spa! We interacted with some of the other guests, which we enjoyed and it seems that Civana is really making a name for itself in terms of becoming a destination for folks out of the state and country. For locals, there are day pass options available through Resort Pass, which I may also check out in the future.

Yelp
The service here is hard to beat! The atmosphere is relaxing & soothing. The views are beautiful from anywhere on the resort.

Yelp
This spa is a great play to leave your stresses at home. The environment and zen like sounds clears your mind of anything stressful. I ended up getting a deep tissue massage and boy oh boy you feel it. The dinner menu was off the hook. Presentation was beautifully done. Drinks just great! I was left feeling like the food matched the prices and the chef needs to be congratulated due to their expertise of quality cooking. Everyone around me looked happy and deep in conversation which just reinforced the stress free attitude I felt. I highly recommended this fine establishment for mental and physical health is important. I understand prices can be a little anxious however, the quality of service, food, establishment and care makes up for it! I am coming back again!

Yelp
This is a challenging review, because Civana has a lot of potential but missed the mark on several big issues. The price for my stay wasn't too bad, but I did not go for the all-inclusive option, which would've more than doubled my cost. Frankly, the bad reviews here on Yelp and other sites made me too afraid to invest in the all-inclusive because of services issues in the restaurant and the spa. They've also recently added a resort fee, which is a pet peeve of mine. They don't offer a free shuttle to/from the airport, like most other destination spas - but they will happily charge you $135 each way for a ride. The restaurant is really expensive, and the menu is really limited, so I didn't dine there at all. There's a little cafe as well, but also very limited menu options. You can get some of those items at the pool as well (I included a photo of the pool menu as I hadn't seen it online). I hit up a grocery store on my way to Civana, and then either rode a bike or walked into town each day for lunch. (The ride into town is downhill. The ride back to Civana is not. ;) - just a heads-up!) ;) The room itself was quite nice. Comfortable bedding. I hated the scent of the toiletries, and the bathroom only had a shower (rooms with a tub were over $100 more a night). Noise came through from other rooms (including from a couple that had a very long and heated argument one night). The grounds are nice - you definitely want a room on the second floor, as the first floor rooms are right at the walkway path and if you've got a patio, everyone is walking right by you (and I'm sure the noise is worse). The classes were a mixed bag for me. A couple were quite good, but several were not good and two were so bad that I left early. (I showed my physical therapist one of the stretches that I had been shown at Civana, and she said no one should ever do a stretch like that!) Many classes were "sold out", but every single one I attended had no-shows (even the floating guided meditation, which is a very small class because of equipment, had a no-show, which worked out for the gal who decided to show up, just in case). You had to cancel by 5pm the day prior to avoid a $15 cancellation fee, so I'm kinda surprised at how many people just didn't show up. It's really cold at night here in the fall/winter - so pack accordingly. I did a "sunset" meditation class that was actually almost 2 hours after sunset, and it was so frigid outside, I was shivering. I had to leave because there was no way to relax into that while lying on a thin yoga mat with one blanket. I think if I had looked at this as a regular hotel getaway, I'd be happier about it. But without a car, it's a big effort to get out to any other restaurants. The classes were a big draw for me, but mostly a disappointment. I am glad I didn't do the all-inclusive, but if I go back, I'd get a rental car so at least I could more easily get some good meals!

Yelp
If you're thinking about doing a trip here, this is your sign to go for it! I absolutely loved my 4-day solo-trip to Civana and would come back in a heartbeat, either solo or with girlfriends. I left feeling inspired, rejuvenated, and joyful. Overall: - The property is beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are modern. The classes are top-notch, and the instructors are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. - I came during July (low season due to the heat), and it was only at ~25% capacity. This meant that majority of the classes I wanted were available, and that the facility was never crowded. I would come back again during the low season for this reason (dry heat was bearable if you wake up earlier, tbh!). They told me that after July 4th, the property slows down a lot. - 3-4 nights is what I'd recommend to take the classes you want, enjoy the property, and not feel rushed! - I came here wanting a reset and time for reflection, and truly did not think I would leave the experience feeling so inspired. Classes: - Book classes in advance, especially if you come during the busier months! You can book up to 2 classes per day prior arrival. Once you check-in, you can book an unlimited number of classes as long as there is capacity. - My favorite classes: Dynamic Yoga Flow, Rebound Trampoline, Know your Energy Type, Numerology. All the instructors are knowledgeable, inviting, and so friendly! I was honestly impressed by the quality of instruction. - Many of the instructors also offer 1:1 sessions if there is a topic you want to dive deeper into, or a class you couldn't get into. Spa: - The spa is a splurge but worth booking. I got the Deep Tissue w/ Carol and it was the *best* massage I've ever gotten (and I get a lot of massages). - The spa facility is peaceful and includes a hot-cold plunge pool, salt water pool, and other relaxation areas. You have in & out privileges in the spa on the day of your treatment. Dining: - The two dining options on site, however, left much to be desired. The food is overpriced for the portions and for the fact that it's mainly plant-based. There are some meat protein options, but not many. However, that is to be expected given it is a wellness resort and not something that would deter me from staying here again! - I did really like the superfood lattes though - the charcoal lavender latte was *chef's kiss* Other amenities: - The gym is huge! Lots of machines, free weights, and cardio machines. - The pool was decently sized with a lot of sun chairs. I imagine it could feel a bit more crowded during busier seasons, but was never an issue when I came. - Spend time exploring the property, walking the meditation labyrinth, and enjoying the Sonoran sunsets. Transport: - I took an Uber from and to the airport. Civana offers shuttles ($135 one-way), but getting an Uber was around half the price. - Some guests I spoke with rented cars so they could explore outside the property. This seemed to work well for them, so they could do grocery runs and explore other dining options. Parking is included. Coming here solo: - Civana is a great place for a solo trip because of all the classes (you'll never be "bored"), serene environment, and friendly guests. All the guests I interacted with were open and friendly. I would say almost 50% of the guests came solo!

Yelp
Best decision I ever made, coming here for a week. I am on the mend and badly needed some self care and decided to splurge for one of these places. To me, it's the little things being up to standard: The WiFi always worked and worked great. Huge points. The app always worked and worked great. Huge points. Every class I took was 10/10. I had 2 spa treatments, 10/10 and worth the money. The pools are heated, the one in the spa is saltwater. All service including food and drinks whether by the pool or in the restaurant were fast. They give you a water bottle and there are water stations everywhere. Nice touch. Everyone was super cool, nice, everything worked like it's supposed to, they still had HBO, I think the menu is trying a little too hard... as a Californian I can see what they are going for and boy it's close but it's just not dialed in. I ate it almost everyday still, but I can't say I had any life changing meals there. That's ok there's local places. Drinks 10/10. This is a great safe place if you are solo and you can make friends if you want or be in solitude, the staff and guests are very respectful. I also saw a few groups of women that looked like they were having the best time ever. Some couples too. I love this place, I feel rejuvenated and I am so grateful beyond just releasing so much of my paycheck... I had an amazing time here. There's a few categories of these "wellness resorts" imo, there's exotic and international, extreme luxury and then places like Civana who have finally figured out the right price point so that plebs like me can be repeated customers and not just do a one off once in a lifetime trip.

Yelp
I am a Miraval fan but have been priced out so I decided to book a few days at CIVANA. While Miraval is unmatched, CIVANA was pretty darn close and for less $$$. My room was super comfortable and clean, and they upgraded me to a spa room upon request. So nice. The room came with a dry brush and the loveliest smelling bath salts. The amenities like the herbaceous shampoo and pour over organic coffee (with a little shelf stable carton of oat milk) were a nice touch. Super high quality teas as well. I really enjoyed my classes. The Sleep Sound Journey was great - one of a kind experience. The HIIT Pilates and Cardio Strength classes were challenging and fun. My one criticism about this was that booking was really stressful. When I intially booked my stay I tried to sign up for classes an hour later and they were all full (except for a few "pay extra" classes) which sucked as it didn't leave me much to plan for my first day. Fortunately I got bumped from the wait list into one class and happened to be let in when I just showed up for another class but - yeah, this part was stressful. While the Seed cafe left a lot to be desired (my latte and green juice were watery and expensive) I did like my experience at Terras restaurant. The mushroom bolognese was great. For dinner, though, be prepared to spend 70-90 a person if planning on a drink, entree, and dessert, plus maybe a side. The spa was the highlight of the trip. Both my massages were top notch and the spa facilities were expansive enough you could spend the day there. I spent an hour each day doing the cold hot aqua circuit. My only criticism was that many areas were neglected. Ie seems like someone stopped picking up towels so I literally had to move PILES of others' wet used towels in order to sit... and the floor of the steam room was dirty which kinda made my stomach turn! Showers were not cleaned between patrons as they are at Miraval so you really want to make sure you're wearing your provided slip on sandals the whole time. Stocking was an issue too. A lot of times amenities like razors or cold towels were out. Not a fan that they auto charge 22 percent for a tip. I see why they do that - so guests can just walk out after a relaxing experience and also to avoid someone forgetting to tip when they have relaxed massage brain! But why pick a number that is higher than standard? Typically 18-20 percent would be standard so if they are going to insist on auto adding a tip it should not be any higher than 20. They do let you adjust it but you would have to walk to the desk and ask to do this and it's just kinda awkward. Overall other than a few minor things I loved my experience here and would really like to return. My hope is that for the next visit they have more classes!

Yelp
What an awesome weekend getaway. I've been wanting to come here for a while and I'm so glad I did. This is a wellness resort, which is my kind of place. First, the location is in the perfect spot with beautiful views. When you arrive all of their parking is free. They don't have valet parking, but they do have someone at the front who can help with your luggage. Customer service was great by all of the people I encountered. If you check in early they will hold your luggage for you. They also have a text service where once you check in they will text you and then you can text them throughout your stay any of your needs or questions. This is my perfect place to stay because they have wellness classes galore. All day there are classed you can take and a wide variety. You can take classes before you check in time (on the day of check-in) and after your check out time (on your last day). Before you come you can sign up for wellness classes online, but you are only allowed to sign up for two per day. I learned once I got to the resort that you can sign up for as many classes as you like once you get there, as long as there is availability. I did multiple yoga classes, sound bath, myofascial release and bootcamp. The yoga classes I took were unlike any I had taken before and were a great and unique experience. The spa here is amazing. First off the spa building is huge and the amenities are awesome. You can come and go as you please the day of your spa appointment. You cannot use the spa amenities if you do not have a spa appointment. I had a massage by Kyle and he was great. They definitely need to offer a service where they wheel you off to a room to take a nap haha. Besides my wellness classes, I pretty much spent my entire Saturday at the spa. I enjoyed the spa pool, laid out, relaxed in the different lounge spaces, steam room, and I loved the Aqua circuit room (sauna, hot, warm and cold pools, and a cold bucket/shower). The pool, Aqua circuit and upstairs lounge are all co-ed. The women's locker room as a few lounge spaces, Eucalyptus steam room, showers, bathrooms, etc. I'm sure the men's locker room as those amenities as well. You can order food at the spa pool (and the regular pool) and I had the burger - which was so delicious! They have two restaurants on site. One called Seed is a casual dining setting where you order at the cashier and wait for your name to be called. It's open from 6am to 4pm. They have a good menu of smoothies, breakfast and lunch items, and snacks. The other restaurant Terra is more formal. The food their was delicious. All of the food between the two restaurants was very healthy and delicious. The room was clean, nice and had a good view of black mountain. The bed was comfortable and they offer multiple pillows with different firmness. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. Oh yes, they also offer day passes. A wellness pass (access to classes and spa amenities) and a spa pass (which includes the wellness pass as well as a massage).

Yelp
This review is for the grab and go cafe. Overnight oats are overpriced and not very good- they were missing the berries and candied nuts that were on the menu description. Would try something else next time. But the Kava Dream superfood latte- amazing! Loved the flavorful, not too sweet, nice and hot. Delish!

Yelp
I'm on the fence if I would return to this place. Staff is friendly, prices are outrageous, tips are auto- charged at 22%. We got services at the spa: you get a quick tour, a robe, slippers, and a locker. My massage was excellent, my friend's wrap was interesting, and our other friend's facial was nice. The salt water pool outside was packed- no chairs, no shade. The menu is limited and for example, my burger was $27 and service outside is not good. It was too hot for us to walk around the trails outside, but I'm sure that would have been nice. There is Sunscreen outside in a dispenser.

Yelp
I recently dined at a resort restaurant with a stunning mountain view, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the healthy and fresh food they offered. For breakfast, I savored an acai bowl that was both refreshing and delicious. Additionally, the muffin sandwich was a delightful surprise, and it perfectly complemented the meal. To top it all off, the freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit were a fantastic way to kickstart the day. I would highly recommend Terras at CIVANA to others.

Yelp
Used ResortPass to get a Spa Day here last August and loved it so much my husband gifted me a $500 Spa Day for my birthday in December. I was pregnant and then had a newborn and exclusively breastfeeding so I finally got to use it today. I called and booked a massage and facial a few days ago and inquired about the prices since I only had so much on my gift card. I was told $195 for the Signature Facial, $185 for the Deep Tissue Massage. That didn't include the 20% gratuity and 9.3% sales tax. I figured that would be enough for me to have $50 left over to spend on food which my husband intended since I was planning to be there all day. Then she asked for my CC # and i reminded her I had a gift card... she assured me they wouldn't charge it, they just needed to keep on it file. The massage was wonderful, the facial was amazing, the spa was relaxing and I was pleased and feeling tranquil as I gathered my things to check out. Well, I go to check out after and what do you know? The girl up front told me they'd already charged my credit card! Over $460. I knew that price was wrong also because I'd calculated what I could spend on food in order to have enough to pay at check out prior. I eventually figured out that discrepancy after asking the girl what the charges were broken down. Apparently they are now charging $195 for the deep tissue... I pull up the website and show her it still says $185 though. And that's what I was told on the phone at booking a few days ago. She shrugged her shoulders. First of all, for the front desk spa girl to be so curt and lacking customer service was appalling. She just kept repeating robotically how it was $195 and then passive aggressively handed me a print out showing how it said $195. I showed her on my phone how it STILL says $185. She didn't care. No "I'm so sorry, I don't know how this happened let me honor the price you're seeing and were told!" Pretty disappointing to receive zero customer service at all after shelling out over $550 today at Civana. This is considered a bait and switch! I'm not just paying $10 more either, I'm paying for an 20% gratuity and 9.3% tax on that total. I then checked my bank and saw two charges for $460, so I had to sit down before I could start my 45 minute drive back to my newborn and call my bank to double check I had been refunded, even thought I should've never been charged in the first place . What a headache. My tranquil Spa Day was spoiled by their lack of customer service and price increase without updating it on the site. Not sure I'll ever be back or feel comfortable recommending now. The front desk staff needs MAJOR training on customer service.

Yelp
I took a solo trip to Civana to unwind and relax. The resort is gorgeous, peaceful, and quiet and the service I received was outstanding. I live in Austin and there is a similar resort in my area, but I chose Civana based on the reviews and I'm so glad I did. Before your arrival, you can schedule up to 2 classes per day online and you can text with or call their guest experience team. Book spa services and popular classes early if you can. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed their class offerings and took several Yoga classes, sound healings, workshops on happiness and numerology, aquafit, and 2 hikes. All of the instructors were very knowledgeable. The environment of the classes was great for different experience levels. The entire experience seemed very 'come as you are and take what you'd like from the experience'. I enjoyed the hikes the most, next time, I think I will plan to do on each day. The hikes were a great way to learn about the area, our guides Darryl and Chad recommended several places if we wanted to explore the town and explained the area's history. The areas that we hiked in were gorgeous. The desert wildlife and scenery was very interesting, and our guides explained so much about the area, the history and the plants. I got a spa service for each full day that I was there. I had the marine oxygen facial with Anita, which was the best facial that I'd ever received. I also had a hydrating body wrap with Rose, which I thoroughly enjoyed.  I had a deep tissue massage, which I did not particularly enjoy, but I think that I just got the wrong technician on the wrong day. The spa amenities itself are fantastic. There is an aquatherapy circuit (hot plunge, cold plunge with deep hot tub, dry sauna, steam room and cold shower) that you can take advantage of if you have a spa service and I really enjoyed this a lot. There are 3 pools on property. The main resort pool has shaded and sunny areas, and is gorgeous. The spa pool has the best view of the entire resort in my opinion. These pools offer poolside service in the afternoons. The third pool is across the street and reserved for classes. There is a happiness hour every afternoon in the bar with 3 discounted appetizer options and happy hour drink specials. The drinks are pricey, but they are fantastic! The mezcalita was my favorite. If I had it to do over, I would take their mixology class. The drinks are all very well crafted and delicious. There are 2 dining options, terras is also pricey. The food was delicious, healthy, and fresh but not a ton of meat options. Seed Cafe is open in the morning and afternoon and has a few grab and go things, coffee, and shakes. The rooms are nice, I had a spa King room. I enjoyed the tub and the room comes with a dry brush and a bath soak for each night. The room has a small refrigerator. Most of the resort guests are solo travelers. There were some couples and some friend groups / sister / mother daughter groups. I rented a car, which was cheaper than the private resort transportation. The resort is about 45 minutes from the airport. I do know some people were able to use rides rideshare services also, but I'd recommend a car. There is a grocery store less than a mile away. I did not do all inclusive. With 3 spa treatments, 3 paid classes, alcohol, and a handful of meals/snacks on property, my tab was $1200 for my 4 night/5 day stay. Next time, I will plan to have more food in my room and also visit the town more often. Overall, this trip was very calming and relaxing. I felt rejuvenated and recharged. I definitely plan to visit Civana again in the future.

Yelp
A beautiful resort with lots of fun things to do. I recommend the mixology class (but don't forget about it and show up late like i did!). We did an intermediate hike in the morning which i really enjoyed! One complaint I had is lack of transparency on charges/gratuities/etc. The pool service has an 18% service charge built in which I didn't realize. The receipt upon check out is "itemized" but not very specific. Make sure you understand all the charges. They also added a charge after we left and signed/approved the receipt for high was frustrated. That aside - the rooms were nice, the pool in the spa was my favorite! Highly recommend a spa treatment! We got pedicures and massages. We had a nice time. I would recommend going to a nearby grocery store (there is one within bike riding distance) and getting some snacks and drinks for the room to save a little money! A great relaxing retreat!

Yelp
One word "perfect " I have to say this is an amazing resort. If your looking for a solo, quiet get away self care this is the spot. If your looking to do a ladies trip this can definitely be the place. This place offers amazing classes, the staff is beyond accommodating! The spa offers a variety of massages and facial treatments with high quality products many are natural plant products- My facial with Brianna was one of the best facials I have had - Also Emily front desk at The Spa amazing- professional and just an amazing women! I highly recommend.

Yelp
From the minute I walked in until I sadly had to leave this was the most amazing experience. The spa is amazing and a great way to have some peace and reflection time. It's absolutely beautiful and the pool area is breathtaking. The classes are challenging and take you to an new level in your life if you are open to it. The instructors and knowledgeable and engaged. Every class I took led me to a new place in my journey. The food in the restaurant and in the cafe were delish. The people who work here are so calm and accommodating. No request was not met. Loved my stay there and can't wait to go back

Yelp
Remember to plan ahead and book your classes as they fill up quick! We were able to participate in the multiple yoga classes, myofascial release, chakra balancing with sound baths, and enjoyed all the amenities at the spa. Most the of instructors were pleasant and provided great guidance and action plans to take wellness tips home with us. The restaurants had plenty of options but the rooms has a little bit of a motel vibe. We did enjoy all the hydration stations as the weather was getting warmer. A few call outs and observations we noticed...the umbrellas were damaged at the pools, the cushions and lounge chairs at the spa, pool and throughout the property were dingy and not kept up well. Very noticeable since they went with a white or light gray color palette. There is a +14 year old restriction but we noticed a small toddler at The Seed, hopefully, they will enforce this to promote the quiet zen ambiance.

Yelp
If you haven't stayed at Civana yet you need to book like yesterday. From the moment I checked in until check out my stay was AH MAZ ING!!! This stay was a reset on life. I checked in early because I wanted to take advantage of classes everyday I was there. Eventhough classes fill up sometimes ppl don't show up so it's best to show up to the classes anyway and have faith. I got in EVERY class I wanted even with me being on the waitlist. The room I had was nice. The bed and the pillows were so soft. I rested well every night. They even provide robes. I ate at Terra's and the food was soo good. I tried the brazino and salmon and they both were seasoned very well. I know ppl were talking about the prices but it was basically the same price as at any other hotel you get food from. Only ate at Seed once and had the lemon donut but a healthy donut but it was still good. I definitely will be back because everybody I encountered had a warming spirit especially Tera.

Yelp
We loved going to Civana. It was a beautiful facility with so many great amenities. We enjoyed arial yoga and then spent the rest of our day in the sauna and different pools. It was so relaxing! Definitely going back again!

Yelp
This is my go to place if I want to relax and be pampered. I've even gone there by myself. You will see lots of single people if that is something you are worried about. Their spa is top-notch. If you have any desire to take one of their classes, you simply must sign up before you get there. They fill up fast. The rooms are sparsely decorated which is their goal. Some of the rooms are starting to need a little bit of care but overall, I still love this place.

Yelp
My daughter and I were highly anticipating our 3 night trip in March to Civana Spa and Wellness resort in Carefree, Az. I had read the reviews and knew they were mixed. Honestly if it were not for the fabulous class instructors and the actual spa, I would give the resort 2 stars. The entryway and the outside areas of the resort are lovely. Picture open areas, filled with sunlight and beautiful landscaping. The pathways are wide and there is plenty of comfortable seating. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room, however was lackluster. The bathroom was a motel 6 bathroom. It did have a giant shower but no place to put products. Also the shower head was tiny compared to the size of the shower. I appreciated that the toilet had a separate door, however the toilet was the older style-low to the ground. Also the toilet paper was scratchy and 1 ply! Scratchy was a theme for the room as the bed sheets were also uncomfortable. I had a big problem with the restaurant menu. The menu featured plenty of veggies, salads and for an extra price, you could add protein. Besides the flatbread appetizer and the chicken sandwich, the menu did not include any grains. This grain free diet was unsustainable for us as we were taking multiple classes every day and needed fuel from carbohydrates. We were told by several waitstaff that the menu was designed to be healthy and that carbs are "junk food". Pardon me? All food is fine in moderation. There is no good food or bad food. This type of black and white thinking of food is a set up for a disordered relationship with food. (In full disclosure, I am a certified eating disorder registered dietitian). On our last night our attentive and friendly bartender told us that burgers were on the secret menu. Thank you, two please. These were juicy, perfectly cooked and on a giant delicious bun. Here's my other big problem with this luxury resort. The coffee in our room was not a Keurig, as I was told on the phone before our trip. Instead it was pour-over coffee bag that was unsatisfying and flavorless. We had to buy coffee at the restaurant or at the Seed Cafe which was pricey. The highlights of our trip included the a top notch hike, varying yoga classes, especially the sound bath and the floating meditation. I enjoyed the TRX class - the instructor was energetic and informative. A downer was that we were told there were pickleball courts and came prepared with our paddles. Sadly all 4 courts are cracked. We were also told there were no tennis courts. They are 4 courts. We loved our spa appointments. She had a heated rock massage and I had a facial. We also loved the thermal baths inside the spa. Would I return to this spa? Nope. For my money, I'd go to Austin Lake Spa.

Yelp
This is the only wellness retreat I've been to so take my review with some grains of salt. I've been here twice. We do a girls weekend, we both live on opposite sides of the state. Upon entering the atmosphere is on point. It's sleek, very natural feeling. Natural materials, colors, etc. the front desk are really helpful. We checked in early because we had a spa treatment. They offered to keep our luggage. Our spa treatment was really nice. I love a good massage and they do not disappoint. You get access to the spa grounds all day. So we soaked in the cold-hot tubs. I loved the steam room. That was my favorite. We sat near the balcony (too cold to be outside). We also tried the sauna. I liked it all. The cold-hot needed some maintenance around the edges but overall we appreciated the all day use. I took a variety of classes. My favorite was the breathe-work and sound healing. I do these regularly and I believe these sessions took it to the next level. The food is good. We never were disappointed. The only draw back is they are smaller portions and expensive. We brought snacks with us this time. We ordered from the dine in menu. They made a mistake with some avocado toast, it took an hour. But sometimes there are mistakes. We will plan to return!

Yelp
Spa building is nice and classes are good but hotel rooms are dated and the service fee of $55 gets you a grungy pool and hot tub. My room was a cave with no windows that opened, under furnished and inadequate lighting. This place should just be a day spa until they can tear down lodging. And, unlike boulders/four seasons resorts you can't use the spa pool or facilities unless you have an appt. Hard pass!

Yelp
Great experience with a massage and a wonderful ambiance. Very zen and comfortable. Would love to have spent a longer period of time there, but back to work I go.

Yelp
CIVANA is an incredible resort for relaxation and meditation. I was able to sign up for two classes a day in advance. Once I arrived onsite, I was able to add more classes to my schedule. Some classes fill up faster than others, so it might be worth doing your research in advance to figure out which ones and book those early. I took so many good classes here that it was hard to pick a favorite. The Mindful Mixology class was a lot of fun. We were taught how to make a couple of cocktails, and got to make one ourselves. I also tried sound therapy. I took both the Sunset Sound Healing class and the Sound Alchemy class. Both were phenomenal. I tried a couple different meditation courses - Gratitude Meditation & Guided Labyrinth Walking Meditation. Both were excellent; however, I think I slightly preferred walking meditation. For a 7 am course (the sand gets too hot to walk on later in the day in the summer), it was a nice way to start the morning and ended in reflection. The Myofascial Release class was really cool. I have a foam roller at home, and feel like I actually know how to use it after taking this course. I also took a course on Feng Shui. As a new homeowner, it was fun to learn about how to design rooms in my house to channel energy into the areas of my life where I need it. A workshop I would recommend is the Mala Making Workshop. I wasn't really familiar with malas before the course, but saw the workshop involved beading. We made our own malas and learned a lot about meditation and chakras in this class. The only class I didn't really like was Yin Yoga. I've practiced Yin for a decade, so I wasn't very impressed with this class. There were a few poses that required us to be propped up with blocks on the highest levels under a bolster. The blocks were shifting a bit and it made it a bit more difficult to balance. There were some positions that could have been changed to ones that still achieved the same stretch, but also allowed for mediation to take place (instead of worrying about falling over). The course also didn't end in savasana. I also attempted to take a daily intention class one morning, but no one showed up to teach it. So, I guess the intention of the day was no intention? I also experienced Reiki for the first time at the spa. That was not great. My appointment was moved up 15 minutes without my consent. I wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for the email I received two days before that showed the new time (although it didn't note it was new). I rushed over to the spa after a class finished and was told I could change into a robe or go clothed. I asked what most people did and was told both. Since I had only seen Reiki performed at an event where everyone remained clothed, and I was short on time, I decided to keep my clothes on. I arrived in the quiet room about 10 minutes before my Reiki appointment and the therapist was already there waiting for me. She made passive aggressive comments to me throughout the session about me being clothed and how it was not normal. I was pretty much angry throughout the session as she didn't explain much to me except to tell me my energy was pushing her hands when they were under my head. I expected to know more about how that related to my chakras for example. Overall, I would visit again. The food at the resort was incredible. My main suggestion is either to skip Reiki here, or be insistent on what you expect to achieve and learn.

Yelp
Just stayed for 4 days at this amazing resort. Room is clean and simple with very comfy pillow and bed. Food was yum and very healthy. The best thing about this place is the spa, although I enjoyed the classes too. Had deep tissue massage that was the best I've ever had. My favorite was the full body scrub. I will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Who would have known that a place voted in USA Today Top 10 Readers Choice Best Wellness Retreat 2021, Condé Nast Traveler #5 Destination Spa Resort in US Readers Choice 2021, and Travel & Leisure #4 Destination Spa, World's Best Award 2021 was just a quick flight away? After a quick flight to Phoenix and a 30-40 minute Uber ride , I arrived at Civana Wellness Resort and Spa in Carefree, AZ, which is a fitting location because literally you leave all your cares behind. Whether you are in search for just a relaxing getaway or want to dive into a personal growth journey, this place has it all. I was blown away by the amenities. They first start you off with insulated water bottles for you to keep and use during your stay with hydration fill up stations located throughout the property. In addition, they provide a journal to either utilize during your stay or later to help you self reflect. Beyond that, the rooms come equipped with coffee, robes, balcony and a mini refridgerator. You have endless access to fitness, yoga and meditation classes, as well as an amazing fully equipped gym that was beyond impressive. Tennis, pickle ball, pool and hiking trails are additional options beyond their highly rated spa. I personally enjoyed their complimentary bikes that was an easy ride to town, which has shops and restaurants to explore. I can recommend Keeler's Steakhouse for happy hour. If you choose to stay in the resort they offer delicious food and drinks as well. This resort is NOT kid friendly so be prepared to fully relax with peace and tranquility. I personally can't wait to return and recharge again.

Yelp
Unfortunately I'll have to give this place a 2 out of 5 stars since only 2 out of 5 days of our stay actually went "WELL". We just had too many hiccups with the accommodations, amenities, and or services. We ran into AC issues where we had to switch rooms, house keeping being overlooked (and the only respond that we get was "house keeping hours are over"?), and some other things that just threw the vibes off a little here and there. We booked massages for for the both of us on multiple days and they were mediocre at best. The staff at the Spa was extremely friendly but our massages were very questionable. To be more specific, our hot stone massages were just not right and somewhat questionable. There were definitely some great highlights such as the classes, and some of the staffs. John and Sam were extremely nice and accommodating. The restaurant staff were great!

Yelp
The place is absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed every aspect of Civana. The day spa is amazing, the staff are attentive, and the food was healthy but has real favor. You are truly disconnect from the world. 9/10.

Yelp
I just got back from a really great Girl's Getaway at Civana! So many wonderful things that I wanted to share that would help anyone doing their research on Yelp like I did before we booked it. What I LOVED: nice accommodations, entire staff was super helpful and friendly, SO many great fitness classes to choose from and easily schedule online (John's classes were our favorite), the food was great (lots of vegan options and lots of really tasty and filling breakfast options), the mid-week special that included $30 towards our breakfasts, the resort offered affordable and nice off-site hikes, the complimentary water bottle and on-site fill-up stations, not crowded or loud, free bikes available to go into town (although not a whole lot was open or to do in downtown Carefree), the beautiful and relaxing spa area What was ok: my massage was just okay (deep tissue), but my girlfriend said hers was good and we met a woman on our hike who said Julie gave her the best massage she's EVER had (too bad Julie wasn't working the day I got my massage). It's about a $50 Lyft ride from the airport (so a little further than other spas, but I believe it was worth it)

Yelp
We have been looking so forward to our trip here, working closely to book spa services and classes in advance and even making a second reservation to tack on to our first because everything looked so magical. And maybe it is. However, we had trouble with our inclusive booking over the phone- they said it was listed as bed and breakfast instead- and then there was confusion at check in as well. So far, I do not get the "glam" vibes I was hoping for, wildly shared on social media. My specific issue is booking a spa king room and requesting and confirming in advance that we have a view. We were told how magical the sunset view is and with the bed facing out, this is where you want to stay. Sold! Now that we've check in, we've been given a ground floor room directly facing the door to the spa. With booked up services (confirmed, Bc we couldn't get into all we wanted even a few weeks ago), this is undoubtedly the most populated area of the resort. Our patio faces everyone coming out of the spa, offers absolutely zero privacy, and has no view. I immediately went back to the front desk for assistance and was told there was nothing on my information about who I spoke to before and all rooms of this type are "committed" until Jan 2. I shared that we came here in place of our covid cancelled wedding and that it really meant a lot to me to have the room requested and I was offered only a downgraded room, facing the pool, no tub, etc. No mention of a credit or partial refund for the already upgraded room that disappoints either. Here's the thing. This is our first holiday all year due to the pandemic. I do have high expectations. I get that. But a pen and water bottle don't make up for the let down on what was told prior to arrival.
