Clachan Inn

Stopped in for a late lunch on a beautifully crisp cold day after being in Balloch. Lovely warm and welcoming pub and restaurant. We were seated in a corner table by one of the fires. Not only was the food delicious but the service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive and the owner was in the dining room and stopped by and said hi. On a final note, a couple came in and she had an allergy. The owner, chef and everyone did a great job clarifying what the lady could eat and they made her a special sauce for her dish. Not too many places do that. Well done. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic little pub in a picturesque part of the world. I proposed to my fiance whilst hiking nearby and didn't think ahead. Spoke to someone at the front desk and although they were fully booked they moved things around and fit us in. Not only that, they pulled out all the stops for the service they gave us a stellar dinner with all the extra add-ons. Cannot thank the staff enough! Highly recommend. Book ahead though because you can't use my excuse!

The guys welcoming us & being there during dinner service did an excellent job! We felt like at home. Their recommendations were super authentic, the food was great too! Big compliments to the Chef. I hope to be back soon. The rooms are simple but clean & have a comfortable bed. Thank you! 🙏

Lovely experience with good food and truly wonderful service. Restaurant staff were a relatively young group of people who provided a flawless and attentive service with genuine smiles despite being kept busy. Top marks to everyone working here for providing their customers with a level of service that is rare to find (even in much more "up-market" establishments). Thank you for also having a great vegan menu 💚

Food was outstanding prices were very reasonable. Booked us in at the last minute when our hotel crapped the bed. Top notch and cannot recommend highly enough! A wee hidden gem!

Lovely pub/restaurant. The food was lovely , well impressed and the deserts were top class especially the lemon trio . Service was very good despite there being a large group in when we were there we didn't wait long and the staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended

The Clachan Inn is the oldest registered pub in Scotland. It’s hugely popular with walkers of the West Highland Way, as the first day of the hike finishes in the village of Drymen [pronounced ‘drimmin’]. I first visited this pub while I was hiking week two of the Scottish National Trail. They also serve food, made with local ingredients and they have an extensive selection of Scottish gins and whiskies, beer and wine. It’s the perfect pub to relax in after a day in the hills!

Great food, great location, good level of service, brilliant atmosphere. Very enjoyable, great wee pub.
