Went MDW at night so wish I could’ve tried more food but was stuffed . Fish &chips and chowder are amazing ! Great staff. When there’s live music it’s a little too loud but overall a great experience

Google
The oysters were good. The drinks were ok even though they were not what we ordered. Beware they will seat you at 4pm when their kitchen closes and tell you it's OK to get appetizers and wait for dinner at 5pm but that is not the case. The hostess came over to tell us that we could not stay and we must have misunderstood him. This was not the case. She was rude and condescending and for that reason as well as the fried calamari being frozen and oily, I do not recommend this restaurant.

Google
Gigi was our bartender,Unfortunately, she failed. We waited while sitting at the bar as she peeled her orange, not acknowledging us. BTW it was 5:50 they haven't been open for a full hour yet ...we literally ordered 2 beers and she gave us not only the wrong check but had a attitude the entire time after I "politely" told her it was the wrong check( i work in the industry)... gigi didn't apologize and continued to talk back after giving us the right check....we're locals BTW I would skip this place and gigi's underwhelming service.

Google
Amazing seafood restaurant located in Montauk. Sarah was our server. Very friendly and personable. She answered all our questions and was very patient with us. My wife had the frogmore stew. I had the tilefish. We also had oysters and clams. If you like seafood this is one if not the best. I met Phil. He is one of the owners. . Also very nice.. another person we met was Tanner. He had a fresh catch of lobsters in a basket and let us hold a lobster. You need to go here. Highly recommend.

Google
The clam chowder was good the wings were good too,but the beet salad didn't have any beets , we were so hungry by the time the food came that we had it without the beets. We complained to the waitress about but nothing was done about it and they still charged us full price for it and no one came over to apologize or make amends. There are more dining options in the area. Beer n wings that's it for me going forward. How do you forget the beets in a beet salad?

Google
Had the top deck to ourselves. Great music, great servers. We came for the delicious Fish Parmigiana and it did not disappointa. Had a few planes take off from the nearby airport and they went right over us which was pretty cool.

Google
Excellent fresh fish and casual seaside atmosphere. If you've got a group, I recommend calling ahead for a reservation. It would save you a long wait time.

Google
What an excellent place to dine before a day of fishing off Montauk Point! Oyster's & Clams couln't be any fresher! And whatever the seared scallop dish was, off the charts! Been coming here for 30+ years. Lady Grace VI Charters & Captain Mario Melito is the best fisherman on the Island!

Yelp
Excellent service! Amazing vibes. Love the covered patio seating arrangement. Food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back and certainly recommend.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick pre dinner drink and snack. It was rather packed for 5pm so we opted to dine inside as it was a bit windy to be seated outside. They definitely seemed to have newer staff/be understaffed as it took awhile to place our drink and food orders once we were seated. We ordered a round of drinks, the pineapple vanilla daiquiris are fantastic and my official go to drink when here now. The elderflower martini was good but nothing special. We ordered a bunch of appetizers for our table: clams casino, baked clams, New England clam chowder, fried calamari, and the fried blowfish special. The chowder here is good but definitely needed some additional salt and pepper, but was reasonably priced compared to other restaurants here. The clams casino could have had more clam and less breading but the flavor was decent. The baked clams came out in three larger shells, and the breading honestly tasted like thanksgiving. It was an odd flavor combination but it worked very well. The fried calamari was probably my favorite and the breading was crisp yet minimal with a kick to it. The fried blowfish was decently prepared thankfully we ordered it without the buffalo sauce it came in. It took awhile to get our servers attention, as we had three different ones throughout the course of the meal. We had some completely different younger girl come to check on us and take our second drink order. It took awhile to get the check and pay. But overall a solid 4/5 experience.

Yelp
Came here during the summer and our dining experience was underwhelming given the long wait time and high prices. After arriving at 8pm to avoid the dinner rush, we still had to wait 1.5 hours to be seated. It is especially troubling that they use a text-based system to notify you that your table is ready because the cell service near the restaurant is horrible. We ended up just sitting in front of the door so the hostess could wave to us to notify us once we apparently missed our first notification. A light up and vibrating notification disk would have been much better for this situation. Once seated, we were rushed to make decisions and finish quickly, as their kitchen was closing soon. While I understand the desire of the staff to leave work at a reasonable time, it seems like they should have cut off seatings after a certain time to make sure all customers got a good level of service and staff could go home on time as well. The food itself was okay. Oysters were solid and my main course of scallops was decent.

Yelp
Evening hostess is the rudest and condescending person. We were seated just before the lunch hour was ending (by another gentleman) and was told that we can order a few appetizers and drinks and at 5 when the dinner service opened we would be able to order dinner. At 4:45 we were told by the rude evening hostess we had to leave and they had no table for us. The oysters were fresh. The drinks were wrong. Calamari was oily. And I just noticed the owners don't comment on reviews.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
Really cool location and they allow dogs. The outside area was fine but the fans were broken on the night we went. For apps: the baked clams were pretty good, calamari was delicious, and the fried eggplant was kind of a let down. Tasted like frozen eggplant and a little tough :/ dinner was good. I got the chicken piccata which was fine, but others in my group got the blackened swordfish which was awesome and the fluke parmesan which was also solid. Fine food, fine service, fine experience!

Yelp
Steamers and lobster roll was delicious. Good service from Bartender. Love the rustic ambiance watching the fishing boats pass by.

Tami R.

Yelp
Love this place! Everyone is friendly and you can see how the staff likes their job and one another! Food is always great The bartenders make great drinks ! Abby and Ira always serve at the bar with a smile no matter how busy A true Montauk restaurant-not to be missed

Yelp
I wrote a review on trip advisor. Please look. Our experience was utterly horrible do to the "manager ". She was a horrible , horrible person. Treated paying customers like we were "trash". As a business owner. I would terminate her employment instantly for cause. Mistreatment and rudeness are an understatement. !! Ty

Yelp
This is a beer and chowder house above all things. Stick to that if you can. Seafood this time was just not good. Lydia was turning people away at the door. Told us to come back in 2 hours. Said The outside ordering line was 60 people back. Didn't believe it. So this nice family of 3 ahead of us took off. Upset. Lol. Me well I'm more likely to hang around and try to get in. Out back only a group of 3 were ahead at the takeout window. Not 60. No such thing. All made up in the hosts likely PTSD from a crazy summer of relentless crowds. Some drunk kitchen help guy was out there and told me the order window was NOT there. (It was) and pointed inside just by the other end of the bar Lol Who listens to a guy with a red face? I did. So inside some nice young mans says the window is out back where i was. I said yeah thought so and im listening to this guy pointing at the tipsy cook. I know i know the kitchen guy said, don't listen to me. Lol By the way this is why we come to Montauk and not Westhampton. At least people actually seem to be having fun. Then like some hero Lydia came way back to the back by the window line. Come with me.. Tables just opened up she said. We left the outside window and picnic table area on the docks which looked cool ... and got to shelter from the few drops of rain. Lol Food. Uhmm. Don't go too hungry or you'll regret it later. Lol An abomination of clams. Whole belly clams are what I ordered. What I got came put as tiny thin flat roundish disks with a mealy bulking up batter.like frozen tiny batter clams lol So yeah we both agree. We'll likely never have a worse fried clam. Was never close to an ipswirch. Or any type of whole belly clam. Bailed out from my best friend.. I took one of his fluke fish from fish and chips. Thin white fresh flakey but sooo thin and all panko. Good christ what happened to great seafood out here. Ok Great tap beer. Brooklyn Summer and Bluepoint ale. Nice chilly briny overcast day. Fisherman from their day trip disembarking with their coolers. Would return every year just because. Nice Montauk vibe and super friendly waitress. So sure. Ill be back. Stick to clam chowder and beer.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Sunday while visiting Montauk. We got here right away at 12 on the dot and were seated immediately at their outdoor area. The restaurant is located at a place overlooking the boats and water, but their outdoor seating area doesn't look very nice. The service here was good but the food was quite average. My husband and I were starving when we came, so we ordered the oysters and blackened tuna for appetizers, and then also had two main dishes each. I got the fried scallops which were served alongside handcut chips. The scallops were not bad, but a bit oily. Neither of us liked the style of the chips that they made. Overall, we had a fine experience here, but nothing to write home about.

Greg P.

Yelp
Food was decent. However, the evening was ruined by a rude waiter who served us on the patio Monday night. Dont know his name but had facial hair and about 5' 7". We returned a $12.00 vegetable dish for a new one because it had parmesian on it and one of us being a vegan couldn't eat it. We spent $200 eating there 2 nights in a row. Yes, it was our fault for not noticing it on the menu but the waiter had an attitude and told us we made it seem like it was his fault. We never ever said it was fault and he even confronted us again as we were walking out the door totally ruining the evening and embarrassing us. Why get so upset over this with your paying customers. Very strange?

Yelp
Fun spot. Good outdoor spot when there is live music. The food is ok, they are way understaffed tho.

Tatiana T.

Yelp
Always enjoyed Salivars, but this time it was a bit too loud and busy. The music was fun, but not at 6:00 PM.

Yelp
Salivar's is my happy place. Fluke parm. All day. Everyday. Beautiful bartendys. Fluke parm.

Anna S.

Yelp
Had a wonderful first experience here! Our server Wes was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! Outdoor seating was beautiful and live music was great. We had cocktails and the blackened swordfish. 10/10 was very yummy. Quick service and very friendly staff. Will definitely return. Helped us to have a great night in Montauk!

Yelp
Would love to offer 3.5 but cant post 4 given the experience. I have probably mentioned this dozens of times in my reviews that Yelp needs half star rating! Oh well, down to business... Location and ambiance with the pier, outside dining, fresh shucking of Oysters (by the way the absolute best part of this place and by far the best oysters any of us have ever had) are a 5. The dining experience, food, drinks and service were sub-par. Drinks warm. Apps cookie cutter with prep work my 12 year old could do better. Waiter claimed EVERYTHING is fresh caught, they need to educate their staff better... All food lacked basic salt/seasoning. Meats overcooked. Back to the oysters, Casino were amazing but how do you screw up bacon, butter, and bread crumbs...‍. Id absolutely go back but make it an appetizer/outdoor/fresh oyster and beer party!!!

Yelp
Walked up as a party of four on the Sunday of July 4th weekend and without a reservation they were able to seat us right away (just before 7ish). The place was hopping with very few masks to be seen. The place faces out onto the harbor but we sat inside. I wasn't complaining since I was a bit shocked we got seated at all. Menus are all digital so you scan the QR code and eventually it appears on your phone. It takes a while to go through since they have lots of speciality cocktails and a pretty stacked menu of food as well. Our group ordered an array of steamers, pasta with mozzarella and fluke, blackened swordfish, and sushi. Our server was pretty impressive. She was quick to arrive and gave us time to figure stuff out. She gave feedback when asked but not overly complex or upselly. Two of us had cocktails plus two sodas. The bill with the tip came to a healthy $200 even. I overtipped slightly but it was pricey. The food was one of the better meals I have had in quite a long time. Speedily delivered to us after we ordered. Everything was cooked well, presented nicely and portion sizes were generous. Mine was the swordfish which came with a horseradish sauce and was served on a bed of shredded veggies with either mashed potato or fries. I got the fries. It really was phenomenal. I left broke but we were all very satisfied with our choices. The steamers were pretty tasty also. Next time maybe we get lucky and get a spot on the outside deck? Either way, I'd come back for dinner, lunch or drinks. I have to ding them for the prices a bit. I know its been a hard time for restaurants but we're all suffering in the same economy.

Yelp
Service was good. Chicken parm unremarkable chicken fingers run of the mill. Raw clams ok the specialty drink tasted like a watered down lemonade the lobster roll was on a notched up hot dog bun I should've asked if the used Mayo on it had I known I wouldn't have gotten it but it was cooked appropriately. Sushi was ok I've had better. Rushed us to order at 2pm cause they were closing to set up for dinner service like ummm what? Garlic bread was good but not enough to pull me back!

Yelp
The food was good but not good enough to excuse the poor service. Please correctly quote wait times. We waited over an hour after being quoted 30-40 mins. We will happily (although hungrily) wait for a long time as long as we are being told the correct approximation of how long that will be. With a hungry toddler who's on a bit of a time crunch before bedtime, this was not ideal. The waitress was prompt enough but a bit cold. The restaurant has very few print menus which is inconvenient when dining with slightly older patrons who still have flip phones. She seemed entirely annoyed by our presence throughout our meal. There is no baby changing station in their restrooms. Come on, people! It's 2021. Let's get with the times. The roof is only for 21+.. fine, but a way to have a quicker turnover would be to primarily seat 21+ upstairs to make room for families to sit downstairs. We noticed a group including young children sitting near us that waited an extremely long time for their food, to the point that they asked for "literally anything" to eat. They had taken to eating their own snacks at the table. Not sure if they take reservations, which we would have but that was poor planning on our part. I will say that the busboys & servers were very nice and prompt!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place after going to the tiki bar next door. They had live music, great ambiance and some really good food with good pricing! Service is relaxed but doesn't surprise me for a beach vibe. Super good 10/10

Yelp
On gps it said it was closed They are not ! We went and the service was great We sat inside and can see all the boats go by The drinks were good Very family friendly My son loved the chicken tenders and chips The clam and lobster chowder were good The scallops were unbelievable Place was clean and restrooms were clean

Yelp
My husband and I take a drive to Montauk every year. We always come here for lunch. They have the freshest seafood. I ordered their grilled fluke sandwich, which is what I always order and it was delicious. My husband ordered the fish and chips. Most restaurants serve a thick beer battered deep fried concoction when you order fish and chips. Salivar's fish and chips was breaded and lightly fried with a generous portion of fillets(fluke) and you could taste the flaky fresh fish flavor in every bite. (My husband shared his with me). Loved the views of the fishing boats right next to us and the service was perfect. Only 4 stars because the French fries could have been crispier. Would have given 4.5 if I was able. Did I mention Montauk brews on tap?

Yasna S.

Yelp
Some bar tenders should be aware of some OUT OF PLACE COMMENT in from of costumers just to get a bigger TIP? 20%? NOT FUNNY AT ALL !

Paul S.

Yelp
Freshest seafood In a very professionally run restaurant Swordfish bites chowder and clams casino , fluke parm yum

Tami B.

Yelp
This is our favorite spot in Montauk! We eat here every Friday nite and the food is better than all these new "hot" spots. Here we still get the feel of old Montauk while enjoying great food and drink. We eat at the bar so we are served by Joey and Kalil on Friday nite and no matter how crowded, they are always friendly and both make fantastic drinks... I recommend their cosmo! Thanks Salivars for always starting our weekend off fun! Good music too!

Tony C.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS FOOD!!! The crispy eggplant salad, spicy tuna tacos, and sesame tuna all tasted spectacular!!! We will DEFINITELY return!!!!

Yelp
Some of the worst food I've ever had in my entire life. The staff was incredibly overwhelmed on July 4th weekend which is understandable. Beside the fact that we had terrible service, the food was nearly inedible. The seafood didn't taste fresh and everything looked unappetizing. The only selling point here is the gorgeous outdoor space, drinks and live music.
google avatar

Alyson Y.

Yelp
Bustling on a Saturday evening. There's also a parking lot outside. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is nicely set up. Pretty extensive menu, focused on seafood and sushi. Ordered the clam chowder and stuffed clams; heard the clam chowder is one of the best in the area and it did not disappoint. Stuffed clams was good but it was a bit too salty.

Yelp
It's always good. Band is a bit loud down right in front, but food is always good. Casual vibe.

Yelp
***Please note that this review is solely for the server we had and is not a reflection of this place as a whole.*** We come to montauk every year. This is our family's favorite place and the food is always delicious. This time around the food was still delicious but our server was horrendous. We arrived at the restaurant at 745 and were seated immediately, it was moderately busy in there but not super crowded. The apps came out super quick probably around 8:15. After this our server came back at about 8:30 and asked if our drinks were fine and then she disappeared. At about 9 we were still sitting at the table waiting for our entrees and started to notice that people that came in after us had been seated served and were leaving already. At about 9:20 I saw our server sitting over by the kitchen so I went over to her and said hey sorry to bother you but just wondering about how much longer the food would be. With the nastiest attitude she said it'll be out in a minute. I said okay that's fine but would you mind telling me what happened we've been waiting over an hour (thinking she'd say something like the kitchen was backed up or anything really, I just wanted to know what the story was cause it had been a long time not to yell at them or make a scene) but to my surprise she hit me with the same attitude and said it'll be out in a minute. At this point, I just stared at her for a second because I really couldn't believe the way she spoke to me and I realized that she must've forgotten to put the food in because if it was a kitchen error then she would've said that instead of being on the defense. I just turned and walked away and didn't say another word and she sat there. Back at the table I told my family what happened and my mom went to try and speak to a manager because after that interaction now we're starting to get super annoyed. She kindly told the woman at the hostess stand what happened and explained that no one is mad that it's taking long but now that she was so rude to me it's a problem. As soon as Jodi (the server) noticed my mom speaking to the woman she comes over to the table and says that the food will be out in a minute with the phoniest smile I've ever seen. Minutes later she starts bringing the food out and to no one's surprise there were errors in the order but at this point it was 9:35 and we were starving and just wanted to get out of there. Long story short she made the experience so unpleasant and I truly hope that she doesn't act like this on a regular basis. Being a server myself, I have the most patience when going out to eat because I know the job is not easy but I would never treat anyone like that but some people don't take their jobs seriously I suppose. Everyone else that works there was so pleasant and shout out to the kitchen staff because they are so talented and make the most delicious food! Obviously being that this is our favorite restaurant, we will be back but man I truly hope to never see that miserable girl again.

Yelp
Love their food. Great quality , taste .... And a fair price for Montauk. Enjoyed sitting on their upstairs outdoor deck .

Mary Lynn M.

Yelp
I have been enjoying Salivar's for many years. The live music was lovely and the outside set up is now so fun and it makes the wait a breeze. The staff is lovely....bar, hostess, new food vendors....all kind and patient. Welcoming. Sad to say, the kitchen I have relied upon for many, many years to provide a reliably above average dining experience in MYK was below par, to put it mildly and kindly. Our party of 4 was disappointed by almost every dish. Of the 10 or so dishes we sampled and ordered, the New England Chowder was the only thing we found consistently good. TheBlackened sword looked like an old shoe...mussels Provençal were devoid of flavor, and overcooked chicken piccatta looked like poached chicken over a bed of soggy linguine. The Eggplant Napolatano app was dry, the mozzarella cold and definitely not fresh. The fried shrimp tasted pre-frozen and overcooked. It was a yuck! We left hungry after paying $380 with tip. I love this place and hope it gets back to being it's high standard. Could be an off night or lack of fresh ingredients..... I will still go back!

Maggie L.

Yelp
Why on earth did they take the sushi off the menu? We were regulars since West Lake Road and now no sushi! That and the chowder were the reasons to go. The Poki Bowl replacements - dry and flavorless. Sadly, after decades, we won't be returning.

Donna N.

Yelp
This was our "go to" place for years until this week. We always looked forward to sitting at the bar that looks out over the water and chatting with our favorite bartender, Sara. Best bartender in Montauk! Always a smile, made you feel welcome and could handle any crowd. We had heard that the owners, after the dad retired from the business, didn't treat the staff well, but we absolutely love Sara, so we continued to go because she's the best! Well, no more- they let Sara go- mid- season- without cause. That is no way to treat a values wmployee! Salivars will never get out business again.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
This is now my favorite restaurant in Montauk. You can't go wrong with the fish - right off the dock. Excellent sushi as well! There are plenty of choices for non fish eaters. Service is excellent. They don't take reservations - first come first served. Go early and avoid the wait. Often have live music upstairs. The bar is air conditioned; rest of the venue is ambient temp. Oh, the bar has many interesting fish mounts -- including the original Frank Mundus Great White Shark head.

Yelp
My family has been coming for many years. Place has gone down hill. Looked at the menu online before arriving at the restaurant only to find the menu in the restaurant was different. My family was very disappointed to say the least. Had send our appetizers back because they were burnt. We had the clams casino, garlic bread, and wings for appetizer. Clams were sent back because they were burnt. The second ones the brought out were sour and still a bit burnt. Garlic bread and wings were run of the mill. We also ordered Chicken piccata and chicken Parmesan. Both dishes were very bland. Over all regret going to dinner here.

Tom M.

Yelp
We had a really nice dinner there this past Saturday- 9/3 Wonderful music- great band- very lively. Food is good- but was disappointed no Lobster roll on the dinner menu- just the lunch menu. It's a lively place, great people watching, lovely setting on the water- will definitely come back. Very friendly service too.

Yelp
Overpriced!!! Food was great but value on the low side to be honest. Particularly drinks where very expensive

Yelp
UPDATE 3/22/18: Thank you Hali D. for your comment on my review. To be clear, it's not the wait for a table that was the objection, but rather the way we were treated upon entering and trying to ask for a table. Perhaps you can discuss with your hostess that "exceptional service" begins as soon as customers walk through your door. Original review follows: I'm not sure why the hostess was so cranky on 10/8/2017 around noon, but someone certainly made a pee pee in her cheerios that day when we arrived to a 3/4 empty restaurant and a wait to be seated. The hostess did not acknowledge us when we arrived as she was scrambling around with great urgency. Continuing to not acknowledge anyone she gets behind her "welcome" station with a huff, while looking down at paperwork stating the best service she has right now is at the "deck bar". She motions towards the water when we asked where it is located. So we, and the other group of 4 that were ahead of us start to walk toward that area. We notice a bunch of open tables on the deck and bar of about 8 seats with 2 of them filled. The first group proceed to sit at a table, and we are about to when we notice that a waitress tells them we need the hostess to seat us if we want a table. We walk back to the front of the restaurant. Exasperated when the other group tells her what happens, she tells them it is going to be a minute until a table "opens". We all look at each other, with a slight laugh, wondering what the hell is going on? She takes the other party of 4 to a table and one of them turns to us saying "good luck.". When she returns she informs us we are welcome to wait in an empty dining room where all the chairs are on tables and bars so we are "out of the way" since it will be another few minutes for a table. We move to the side for a minute, stunned and laughing because it really feels like we are being punk'd or in a Saturday Night Live skit. We all make a decision to go elsewhere. Halfway to our car the hostess yells out to us that it will be "only another 3 minutes for a table", which felt like a punchline to a joke. We laugh and say no thanks we rather not. I've been to the Clam and Chowder House once at Westlake and one time before here at Salivars - I remember there was always a wait and a feeling like they are doing you a favor for letting you eat here. The food was decent and pricey (like most places in Montauk). Most people recommend this place so perhaps they are experiencing something we aren't. Perhaps you will too.. good luck!

Laurie G.

Yelp
Food at The Clam and Chowder House is amazing. Had the scallops one night, they were so tender! And the blackened swordfish was cooked to perfection. You have to try the crispy eggplant and Buretta with the delish balsamic glaze! Despite a busy weekend, service was still good and staff were pleasant and welcoming! A "must go to" restaurant when ever you're in Montauk!

Victoria H.

Yelp
4 stars for great service and 3.5 stars for food. We came here yesterday because we noticed it was bustling friday night and wanted to check it out. It was just as busy Saturday but the restaurant does a great job at enforcing social distancing. We sat at the outdoor bar with a couple of other patrons but everyone was mindful to keep their distance. All staff members wear masks and are very friendly and attentive (I also noticed a lot of other patrons ordering drinks wore masks too). If you sit in the outdoor bar, the staff ensures that others order drinks on a separate line outside to maintain social distancing. We ordered the mussels and clam chowder for apps - which were really good..I definitely recommend the mussels! Our entrees were the lobster roll and tuna which were also good. I'm not too crazy about their fries, they're thinly cut and are similar to potato chips.

Yelp
If I can make 1 recommendation, do yourself a favor and get the panko fried fluke parm. I'm not a huge fan of fish but that was the best tasting dinner I've had all year. Not fishy at all and oh so amazing. Their sauce is out of this world. Also, their New England clam chowder is so good!!! There's also a bar upstairs so if there's a wait, there's something to do. Music next door is loud and can be heard from deck/restaurant. Great time, will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great casual place for lunch. The fish taco was great! Fish and chips: excellent. Fish sandwich also great! Perfect and it hit the spot. Lunch for 3, 2 beers, no apps or dessert $95 with tip. Borderline pricey.

Yelp
Ok for vegetarians. A few different choices. Eggplant tower app. Some salads. And impossible burger. Could probably do some vegetarian sushi but wouldn't be too exciting. Fries are homemade. So half fries half chips. Not salted. Sushi seems fresh but comes out kinda warm but I think it's cuz the rice under it is warm. Sushi should be cold guys. So should sushi rice. So kinda off putting. Staff is nice. Don't think they take reservations and you can join waitlist on yelp but it's no accurate. Sign up for waitlist then go check in w hostess. Told us be there 8:14. We got there 8:05 and they quoted another 30-40 min. Go to one of their bars and have a drink. Hang out On rooftop or play games out back. Corn hole. Ping pong. Table soccer. A lot of kids around there FYI. On rooftop Ashely made me delicious tequila soda w generous splash of pineapple. Really felt like I was on vacation. I wish it were a little cleaner. Utensils and dishes had like a film on them. My drink on roof was $10 Beer was $7 Restaurant is more $$$ My wine from Long Island was $13 Sushi "special" was $25. 1 roll. 6 pieces. Eggplant tower was $17-19 (I forget) Edamame is $8 Bug menu FYI if you pay cash it's cheaper. I hate when restaurants pass on service fee to customer. Do your own math for tip. I think their math may be off. Location is nice. On the water. Only drinks served on roof for dinner. No food on roof except for tiny area off to side seemed to be reserved for large party. Can get loud Can be noisy from band playing next door or fun depending on what you're looking for.

Yelp
Initially, our experience was fantastic. Little did we know it would result in our family of four being moved post-appetizers and drinks to another table inside to accommodate a big "reservation" of 3. Upon our arrival, we requested to sit outside and conversed with the hosts that informed us the upstairs outdoor area was full. They mentioned a large party to accommodate, but we didn't think much of it. What they chose to leave out was that we -might- to move the picnic tables outside that were suggested to us. Right before we received our entrees, the host arrived at our table and asked us to relocate tables. We were open to accommodate them, but it still was extremely disrespectful as we were about to be served our entrees. The feeling of carrying our own drinks to the table was something I hope nobody had to feel ever. It was so rude. I've worked in customer service before as a host and server, never would I ever have suggested my customers to move EVER. Our server was lovely. She was so kind and chipper - this has absolutely no reflection on her. The host, particularly a woman with silver hair was extremely rude. We didn't let this ruin our evening, it's something to laugh about. And our food was fine. But the fact that we had to deal with this ordeal and there wasn't even an apology from the hosts or anything to compensate for this. I'd recommend if you're open to being moved for "larger" parties -- food was great, server was lovely, host was clueless.

Yelp
Very disappointed no more sushi at this place. Sad to hear they were not paying the sushi guys so they walked out. Food has gone down hill.

Yelp
One of our favorite places in Montauk. This is a family run restaurant and everyone working their butts off. Montauk is BUSY this year and staffing is hard. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating from the minute you walk through the door to the smiling bartenders and friendly servers. Consistently the freshest seafood in Montauk. We eat there weekly and enjoy their delicious sushi, the mussels with garlic bread, fish Parmesan, sea bass with fried rice, fish and chips and the lobsters are the best I've had. Go, relax and enjoy the view and the superb food and service
