Clancy's

I bought some dried chillies here labelled 'hot' and when I got home they were not hot at all - basically tasteless. Maybe I was unlucky with my choice, but just saying. I will give a 2-star review just to try and be slightly nice but those chillies I would give 1 star and since then I have gone out of my way travel-wise to visit Asian stories to buy my hot chillies. So this store needs to basically sort its chillies out.

Went there for the first time today as some of the hot sauces caught my eye as I'm trying to improve my tolerance for a birthday challenge. They were very lovely, letting me handle and look at the sauces. They looked to have every spice you could ever want! After mentioning my birthday plans they even gave me a free Moruga chilli to "nibble on" to improve my spice tolerance haha, couldn't recommend more!

Best dry chili selection I’ve seen anywhere in the world; and I’ve looked. The owner and his wife are the nicest people in Cardiff; and everyone’s nice in Cardiff. They are the best of the best in every aspect. I miss them.

Fantastic selection of herbs, spices, chillies, teas, and more. One of the few places you can find high quality whole dried chillies, with an excellent range and quality.

I have purchased in person and I have also made my first order for delivery. There customer service is brilliant, both in and out of the store. There tea's are packaged and labeled well. I received my delivery today, it was packaged and labelled well, including bubble wrap, I only put my order in 2 days ago, was told my package would be out for delivery yesterday and I received it today, so very speady. The postage was very cheep and the tea's were a great price for how much I boughg. I'm very pleased with my purchase and currently enjoying a cup of summer fruits green tea :D I would highly recommend this shop to everyone (tummy tea is definitly a must try aswell :D ) thank you clancy's for my order

Discovered this hidden gem on a recent trip to Cardiff. The tea blends are awesome and prices are very reasonable. Loved the teas so much I asked about a mail order and they were helpful and obliging. Love this place, go check them out!

Clancy’s is the best place in Cardiff for herbs and spices, they sell a wide selection of them and their own blends too. I can always find whatever I need here and they’re reasonably priced too. There’s also a great selection of dried chillies that we’ve enjoyed over the years from mild through to the really hot varieties. An interesting and nice selection of teas as well. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Great find!!! Tucked away in Cardiff central market with a rough and ready feel if a start up run by genuine enthusiasts. The enthusiasm shows through in their service, which is energetic, helpful and knowledgable. They have a really varied range of food to buy for immediate consumption for vegetarian and vegan food fans and, a wide range of ingredients to help you make similar lovely things at home. Definitely worth a try even if your food identity doesn't begin with a "V"

I love taking a trip to Clancy's for their delicious vegetarian foods. They also have a plethora of organic herbs and spices, variety of the hottest chilis, organic seeds. Every time I go, I see something new on their shelves. So nice to have a gem like this in town.

Top quality food here, vegan especially. Stopped here to get something to eat before the rugby and was worth it. Very cheap as well, ton of food for two at £5! Unbeatable really.

This has to be one of the best retailer's in Cardiff (and probably South Wales) for most, if not all of your herb & spice needs as their selection and variety is extensive. When I wanted a specific spice (Cubeb Pepper) that they didn't stock, they went the extra mile and ordered some for me. Their customer service is fantastic, something a lot of companies could learn from.

I am so grateful that our hotel was a short walk from the Market on our recent trip to Cardiff. We had vegan pies and pasty from Clancy's several days during our trip. The food was delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Got a vegan pasty and a vegan cider mushroom mini pie. Both were delicious! So happy to be told about this place!
