This is a beautiful beach resort, lovely rooms, great staff service and from owner, Diana. The food was excellent in the dining room where we could view the ocean! Ocean beach and resort pool couldn't be better! |Our room was beautiful and private, room cleaned daily, amenties.

The hotel is not really pet Friendly. They have an agresive dog so we cannot take our dogs out of the room and they didn´t want to put him inside, besides they said they will. We couldn´t enjoy with our pets in the beach as we would want too. The service is TERRIBLE, we had issues with our TV and kitchen and the man in charge said sorry I don´t know how to fix it and we had to beg him to come to our room and help us and at the end he didn´t fixed anything. Besides that, the breakfast is American so you will only receive Bread and Coffee. I would expect for the high prices minimum some eggs and cheese. The service is so bad that the personal in charge didn´t even notice if coffee ran out or the water or bread. Theres an option to pay and receive a complete breakfast but the service is so so terrible they didn´t come to you to offer the menu in case you want something else. They didn´t say even good morning. I think the hotel is beautiful but the people in there LACKS a good service and a nice personality.||I think a good hotel will even offer tours options to tourist since in Palo seco there´s not much things to do. ||Diana is really nice and a great person but the rest of the personal es not good at all at costumer service.||We love the hotel, yes and the location that is beachfront.

My wife and I stayed there a year ago. A nice getaway, and enjoyed the pool very much. The food was good. I didn't mind the dogs, but the pet racoon, I could of did without. The rooms could use a nice update, but other than that, all is well.

We loved our stay here. Very peaceful & quiet. The staff was very helpful & friendly. It's a great place to stay if you like animals. Dogs, cats, & raccoons - all friendly. A beautiful beach for walking & wading. Strong undertow, so avoid swimming. Beautiful sunsets & the beach is pretty much empty most of the time. There were lots of nice extra touches such as pillows on the loungers. It is a rough, dirt road to get to it, but it is well worth it. The food was very good. The pool was lovely. Only cons are the bed pillows, which are huge & hard. The outside cushions are a bit tired. We would very happily stay here again.|See less

I have never stayed here (I'm currently staying at Tranquilidad Resort, down the road, which is nice). On my next trip to the beach. I will stay at Clandestino, because I really enjoy reading the owner's replies to negative reviews. As a business owner myself (in the US), I understand the kind of petty, self-centered, high maintenance people you deal with. If people want to actually experience Costa Rica, they need to adjust their attitudes accordingly, or just go stay at the Marriott.

Beautiful place step away from the beach. The dog are wonderful and very friendly my son loved playing with them. The pool is amazing and the lunch and dinner are delicious the portions are great me and my son shared the quesadillas. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to anything we may need. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay this would be the place.

This resort is one of those hidden gems. Located on a secluded beach near Parrita, you travel about 20 minutes on a dirt road to one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica. The highlights of this amazing boutique resort was the owners incredible cooking. She is one of those exceptional women that you meet once and feel you have known her for a lifetime. Our beds were super comfortable! The pool was delightful. We wish we had booked an entire week here or more instead of just four nights.
