Google
Wow! Thank you Chef Antonio. That was AMAZING! I had the Sotol Salmon and Shrimp The orange and grapefruit salad underneath was so delicious and refreshing. It would be a crime not to enjoy it as it paired perfectly with the seafood above. If you get Shelby as your server, well, you’ll enjoy the perfect meal!

William Cesarotti

Google
Fantastic food! The fig bacon jam goat cheese croquettes were a perfect balance of flavors. The skirt steak in the skirt steak tacos has been slow cooked to melt in your mouth perfection. The blackened shrimp and grits sang. Took me a moment to find this place as its in the Doubletree but worth the effort. Cant wait to try more dishes!

Christopher Story

Google
We had the skirt steak tacos and lobster BLT after the chicharrone and queso appetizer. WOW, everything was fantastic and I kept having to pinch myself that I wasn't in a 5 star hotel in New York. Incredible quality in every aspect. Must visit!

Google
Great place for work travel. The food is pretty damn good. I'm actually looking forward to eating here a couple of times during my stay, which is saying a lot for a hotel restaurant. I especially loved Shelby's hospitality. Changed my flatware without a fuss during each course. She even gave me a left handed spork.

Missy Bigbow

Google
Shelby was our server and she was so delightful! Not just to us but to everyone who walked in. The food was outstanding!! Highly recommend!

Google
We love Claraboya! The menu is always interesting. The trouble is deciding! Shelby is a fabulous waitress. She really knows the menu & has informed recommendations.

Google
Went with my family for brunch. Not o my was the food amazing (as it always is), but our server Hannah was great. She had the perfect balance of taking care of everything and letting us enjoy our meal. We will be back again soon. Thanks Hannah.

Google
The food was extraordinary, and the service too! Place was worth every cent. Had the calamari, not standard calamari with chefs flair seasoning and light spicy sauce & guacamole included in plate. Then, the cowboy shirt steak tacos with oaxca cheese fried into the flour tortilla shell with non-standard veggies and queso. Definitely upscale from standard calamari and tacos. Outstanding!

Yelp
An amazing experience! Chef came to the table, very nice, to chat about our meal selections to make sure we're satisfied and then afterwards! Server was fantastic and on the ball! I had the filet, mashed potatoes and asparagus! Spot on!! If you're traveling to Lubbock, stay here (nice hotel too), and dine @ Claraboya!!

Sharon S.

Yelp
This restaurant is in a hotel, but it is so amazing! Our waiter was super friendly and did great. The food was SO GOOD!!! We had the chicharrones and queso to start. Y'all, I've lived in Texas all my life and this is the best queso I have ever eaten. The combo with the fresh chicharrones was unexpected but delicious. Then I had the skirt steak tacos. The meat was perfectly marinated and the homemade crispy flour tortillas were the perfect touch...100% recommend this place!

Yelp
Today's choice for dinner was the Sotol Salmon & Shrimp! There were so many flavors going on with this dish from the orange to the grapefruit along with the salmon and shrimp. It was like a mouthful of artwork! Chef has done it again and if you haven't stopped in an eaten here, we'll let me just say you are missing out on a West Texas nugget.

Yelp
Always 10/10. Chef Tony is amazing. The lobster BLT is to die for. Never had a bad dish.

Yelp
The menu is fabulous, and every dish was raved about. A hidden gem in a Doubletree - make sure you stay here!

Yelp
3.5 Stars This place is really expensive. Many of the options didn't sound appealing to me, which is unusual for me. The location is okay, but not great. It is off of Avenue Q, which is trendy on one side (Buddy Holly Hall) and a little rough on the other. If I'm going to pay $35+ per person, I'd like the restaurant to be its own establishment instead of part of a hotel. It's less cozy and professional that way. That said, my food was good. The service was friendly. Wait times were okay. There was great live music and plenty of tables with comfortable seating. I really liked that this restaurant is partnered with E3 farms and uses locally grown produce. This restaurant is more upscale than many other options in town, and would be a good place to consider for a date night.

Yelp
Food was great, creative enough without being too pretentious. Good ambience. My biggest compliment was to the server, who, when we asked for honey mustard, she said "no, but I can make some." Ever since COVID, customer service everywhere is such a let down. She also did not roll her eyes when I asked for hot tea. I had a sore throat coming on. Was refreshing to see someone just make the effort to give hospitality. A little thing like that goes a long way. She did not know that I was a manager at fine dining and have worked at Michelin restaurants. We actually were dressed like slobs so I'm doubly impressed.

Yelp
We were staying at the hotel while dining here! SO good! The service is fantastic! Everything we tried was delish, but I am still dreaming about the lobster tail corn dogs! Stop in and have a strong drink, tasty bites, and vibes!

Yelp
OK!...I see you 5 star dining disguised as just a "hotel" restaurant! My husband and I stopped today for lunch after seeing the fabulous looking pics of their food. When we pulled up we were a little taken aback by the hotel location. But we were starving so decided "what the heck let's just try it". Oh my goodness we are so glad we did!!!! We got the fried green tomatoes w/pork belly appetizer amazing, the salmon entree also amazing, and hubs got the cowboy tacos WOW JUST WOW!!!!! Some of the best food we have had all year. Coming from foodies who travel on our tummy's this rivals any fine dining establishment we have eaten in and can't believe this place is located right here in Lubbock!! We are counting the days to go back and try out more things on the menu. The chef is outstanding literally chefs kiss great as was the overall friendly staff. Our mouths will be watering in anticipation till we eat here again!

Yelp
This restaurant is inside a hotel but it's good! My wife and I ate the duck tacos and it was amazing! We had heard good things from others, so we figured we would give it a try and we're happy we did!

Yelp
The place to go in Lubbock to meet your friends or date night. Elegant atmosphere and the best tasting food that you have been searching here for. We selected many dishes so we can taste all, it was all delicious. The staff and chef make you feel like this is right where you are supposed to be!
google avatar

Kristi M.

Yelp
Overall - very weird situation, it's located inside of a hotel. Didn't realize that when searching google. The prices are very high, the booth was dirty, the table was wobbly. The prices don't match the spot. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Chef Tony is an artist and a master. Beautiful wonderful gourmet food with the spicy flair of West Texas.

Elaine P.

Yelp
We walked in without a reservation on a Friday evening. We'd just gotten in town after a 5 hour drive. Luckily we were able to get a table and oh my goodness was it fortuitous! We chose it based on Yelp ratings. All I can say is the food was outstanding. Yes, it's pricey but it's worth it. I would definitely come back
google avatar

Allison K.

Yelp
We made a reservation and walked right to our table. Food and service were both great! It's in the Double Tree hotel, but we didn't have any randoms walking through. Will return!

Elaine P.

Yelp
Very accommodating staff - we got into town on a Friday night and just showed up without reservations! Not ideal. They seated us right away & there was nice background music for our cocktails. I ordered the snapper on Spanish influenced spaghetti squash risotto. O. M. G. Delicious! I'll admit I was more than curious about the risotto but it was out of this world. Hubs got the brisket & ground beef bacon cheeseburger which was outstanding. Then desserts: we got the cookie crumble bread pudding & key lime pie. Both were yummy and who doesn't love those chocolate chip Doubletree cookies ? Yes, it's pricey and the location inside a hotel is maybe not the best ambiance but......... we're talking really good food. If all the other entrees are as good as ours you will not be sorry. Recommend!

Yelp
The menu looked great via Yelp so we stopped by. Oh man. Everything we ate was amazing. The brussel sprouts were easily some of the best I've ever eaten. Apples, brussel sprouts, dressing, cranberries, the goat cheese. Oh my gawd The fried green tomatoes with the pork belly was outstanding!! The perfect price of pork on top. Good lord. And my harvest salad was so delicious. The goat cheese croquette was just so good. I loved it all. I highly recommend coming here for dinner or lunch. You will not be disappointed

Yelp
The food was VERY good. The Chef brought it out to our table. We had the chicharrones, empanadas , & birra tacos.

Yelp
Ok; so I was here on business travel and as always I look ahead to try and navigate the places I want to try and eat at when traveling. Upon research I decided I was going to add this place to try while in Lubbock TX. When I arrived at my hotel the Double tree; I was pleasantly surprised to see this restaurant in the hotel. After review of the menu; I decided to go with the Chipotle Caesar side salad and the Bone Marrow Ribeye. First let's start with the service. Absolutely top notch and 100% on point. Never will you go empty on drinks or spend even 10 minutes in between needing anything as the staff here is always checking in on you! Let's start with the salad. Im not saying it to make an actual point other than I truly mean this when I say it; literally the best salad I have ever had. The slight outer warm char to the lettuce with the chipotle Caesar dressing sure sets the two as if it was a perfect marriage in the making. The deep rich sun dried tomatoes with peppers and capers really brought a new meaning to salad. I definitely would do the larger one and add steak which would probably be the best salad I have had all in all. The polenta cheese balls actually is what brought this salad full circle right back where it belongs which is the best of the best salads. Not sure who the head chef is here that designed this menu; but when you start it right off the bat with a salad like this, you definitely know the expectations of Wow factor is up for grabs. Shortly after the salad the Main course came out; Bone marrow ribeye. The bone marrow was not skimped out on and the flavor through and through was absolutely spectacular. It was cooked to perfection and prepared much better than I have had in the past. At this point of the experience I'm thinking how can a place like this been in a hotel in Lubbock TX and not where it truly belongs like Las Vegas NV. The steak was seasoned with what appeared to be in house selection of blended spices. It had nice crystallized chunks of salt that stood out from the rest of the seasonings in size that was perfectly blended and coated. The steak was slightly over cooked from my selection and was a medium all the way through where I preferred more medium rare. The steak was still a 5 out 5 and at the end of the night it was rather nice to not have to drive somewhere. There were many great options and fortunately for me I'll be back in a few weeks where I'll be able to try more of the menu that I'm looking forward to.

Yelp
Omg it was delicious the beer is Hawaii Kona excellent also. I plan on trying the frangipane apple tart

Yelp
Food was very good, the chef had a fun menu with creative appetizers to share and some really appealing main courses as well. Once we saw the dessert menu we had to try couple of those as well. Wine menu had a lot of options but it seemed they were out of many of them. I do give them credit the pours were big and one of the wines we ordered was probably a 3/4 pour and they gave it to us at no charge which was unnecessary but really appreciated. Service was kind of slow, though our server was very friendly as was the manager who made his way around striking up conversations with diners. I will say I was thrown off that it was in the lobby of the Double Tree hotel, but don't let that deter you, it's as good as any of the top restaurants in Lubbock. I plan to go back to try more from the menu for sure!

Yelp
Came here based on reviews. I like that they had 1/2 portions on the salads. I love octopus and orders the octopus entree... it was burnt and slightly chewy. Not a great dish.... Won't be coming back.

Yelp
We came here while in town visiting family. The restaurant was particularly quiet on the night we visited. I eat gluten free and had read a good review about inquiring about gf things off menu so I asked our server, her answer started with "Gluten? That's wheat, right?" I knew I was on my own at that. The others at the table started with goat cheese croquettes, and said they were fabulous. I ordered the wedge with steak, it was ok. Hubby had a burger, it was good. I would not rush back.

Jazz R.

Yelp
Service was fast and not too packed at lunch. Overall, I would rate this place an 8/10!

Sunny D.

Yelp
FLIES!! You should not be batting flies out of and off your food like it's a third world country. One landed in my drink and died! Even the bartender said they know it's a problem...so why is nothing being done about it?! Went here on a Monday night to celebrate a special anniversary because it's about your only option open on that day of the week in Lubbock. Food tasted good/fresh. Service could have been better. Flies buzzing around ruined it.

Yelp
Couldn't brag about this place enough, hidden gem type of place. In a hotel, tucked away, with amazing food and fantastic cocktails! 10/10 recommend for fine eats at an unusual spot. what we had in pics below!

Yelp
Great food. Fun specials. Accomplishes chef. Reasonable prices. Will be back. No more to say.

Dawn L.

Yelp
Yum! And not because the "expectation bar" was low because it's a hotel restaurant! I had spaghetti squash with wonderfully cooked chicken and a tasty and creative side salad. Pretty snazzy menu for ...again ... a hotel restaurant! I would so come back and would expect the locals know all about this place.

Kay M.

Yelp
Slow service and poorly prepared food. 2 of us ordered the French toast both were delivered burned. One person ordered the avocado eggs and they were cold, the pancakes were close to burned. The last of the dishes was the chorizo and green chile chicken fried steak and our daughter said it was so good. When we finally got the French toast it was good, just took forever.
google avatar

Carol W.

Yelp
Yes but they did not have our reservation. Fortunately they did have a free table for 4. Food fabulous. We all ordered something totally different and it was all excellent. Service very good. Ambiance - low average Singers should have stayed home. Thank you Food 5 stars Service 4.5 stars\ Ambiance - 3 entertainment - 2

Yelp
Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Poached lobster corn dogs are worth a special trip!

Yelp
My husband and I chose the Doubletree to stay in during our visit to Lubbock because it had a bar and restaurant. We didn't realize they were going to be superb! After our first day of touring, we decided to have a beer at the bar. I was hungry and had a small watermelon salad. It was SO WONDERFUL we came back for dinner and had a fantastic meal. My husband had the snapper de dos colores and I had the salsa macha pollo. They both had the most wonderful layers of flavors... we took our time and enjoyed this meal. Thank you Doubletree for a beautiful & comfy room and some awesome food!
google avatar

Fermin N.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Chef Antonio is a talent. Try this place when in Lubbock. The Caesar salad is like no other 10 out of 10

L L.

Yelp
There were 6 of us and we all got something different. Everyone was very happy and satisfied with their meal. It was a very enjoyable experience. Service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. I will definitely return.

Yelp
This place is the real deal! We have ate at all of the fine dining restaurants in Lubbock and this is a gem! Everything is made from scratch, and, from what I understand, is locally grown. There are so many interesting and unique options to try. Plus, the prices are outstanding for what you get! Do not hesitate... Go here as soon as you can.
google avatar

Derek R.

Yelp
4.5 stars! This place was surprisingly good! Who knew?? Tried a margarita with empanadas as a starter, then moved on to shrimp and grits. Server was on point PLUS live music. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Oliver W.

Yelp
We stopped for a night in Lubbock on a road trip. I phoned a friend who lives here, asking where to eat. She mentioned Claraboya was a local chef who set up shop in a local hotel. In a word- outstanding! The shrimp and grits were better than most I've had in New Orleans. The shrimp were seasoned to perfection and full of flavor. The sauce was complex, rich but not overpowering, and just the right amount of spice. The bison special was phenomenal. Tender, very well seasoned, and the flavors married well into one amazing combination. Right now it's no secret food prices are high. This meal was worth every cent and this chef has a very promising future because this was one of the finest meals we've experienced. Definitely recommend if you're looking to spoil yourself or someone. Service was excellent also.
google avatar

Adriel T.

Yelp
The food here is good. Our table had seabass and lamb. And the harvest salad all of which were really good. The lamb was a large portion though the fish was a bit smaller. The hotel scene makes the atmosphere feel a bit like a work scene but I would recommend nonetheless.
google avatar

Brad L.

Yelp
In town for a Conference at the Lubbock Civic Center, outstanding food here, definitely give this place a try, you won't regret it.
google avatar

Devon D.

Yelp
Outstanding bar and restaurant located in the Hilton. Wow amazing food, pork belly and fried green tomatoes and game elk dinner! Have some cocktails and wine and enjoy your evening before a concert or show (within walking distance to Buddy Holly Hall.
google avatar

Bibi A.

Yelp
Food was good service was good nothing to complain about. Had some issues but they were great about resolving.

Lisa N.

Yelp
The food is phenomenal! Some of the best in Lubbock! Make reservations, just in case. Casual attire is abundant with 5 dishes! We had the Brussels, duck tacos, lobster and shrimp pasta and the smoked pork chop. Even the picky kids liked it! Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu and I live an hour away!
google avatar

Shirley G.

Yelp
The food will not disappoint we tried the duck tacos, taco soup, fried tomatoes, grilled cheese with rib meat, & croquettes. Cannot wait to go back & try their homemade pasta with tier 5 sauces. This place is incredible & a secret to many! Inside the double tree & well just magnificent!

Mike S.

Yelp
First time here tonight. We had heard really good things about it. The lobster corn dogs- nice surprise. They are a little difficult to eat and could really benefit from a dipping sauce, but good. The short rib risotto was okay at best. The beef like mom's pot roast (with less gravy and flavor) on top of crunchy rice. This was certainly not a $40 dish. Service as okay; live music was a little loud, but a nice touch.

Cody B.

Yelp
Horrible experience. We spent way too much money just to be annoyed and eat mediocre food. The drink i ordered was the worst I've ever had in my life. No live music, as was advertised. And we couldn't even have a conversation because people were yelling at the football game. This is unacceptable, especially for a "high end" restaurant. We will definitely not be returning.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Perfect location to meet our Texas Tech friends on our way home to Austin! Relaxed area with plenty of room to hang out for long conversations. Good food! Not professional enough service although very friendly!! Delicious food as promised and love that everything can be adjusted to individual preferences.
google avatar

Marc H.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! We got the lobster corn dogs and birria tacos! It was so good we almost went back for dinner. Service was also amazing and really a great place to go hangout with friends.

Yelp
Traveling. We chose this hotel because we were told the restaurant here was fantastic. It is! We had a delicious breakfast. Plus the hotel is beautifully renovated. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Lobster corn dogs...need I say more? AMAZING. Stumbles across it and will definitely be returning soon!
