This was honestly one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I went in with my mom and a friend over the weekend to buy a bag chain, and the moment we walked in, the attitude from the staff was already off. No greeting, no acknowledgment—nothing. When we asked one of the associates for her opinion, she barely looked at us and basically brushed us off with a dismissive “that’s all we have,” pointing at the chain like we were bothering her. Her tone was so rude it was almost shocking, and she acted like our simple question was an inconvenience. We kept looking around, hoping someone else might be more helpful, but none of the associates even pretended to offer assistance. When my mom picked up a chain from a bag and politely asked another associate if it could be purchased, that associate wasn’t any better. She literally snapped the chain out of my mom’s hand and told the other associate it wasn’t for sale—without even addressing us or giving us the courtesy of an explanation. It felt like we were being completely ignored on purpose. All three associates working that day came off as rude, dismissive, and annoyed by our presence—especially Megan and Jill. This was on Sunday, November 30th of this year, and their behavior made the entire visit uncomfortable from start to finish.

Every visit to this store is a breeze. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Location has expanded since my last visit. Shoutout to Api & Laura for the great shopping experience.

Stopped in recently (first time at this location) and love the products but the absolute rudest employees. The irony was that, with all the female empowerment energy of the brand, the staff proceeded to fawn over the men shopping, and one staff member actually walked away from me mid-question to run over to a male customer. I purchased an item despite this but won’t go back to this location.👎👎👎

While I love the leather goods at Clare V., I've actually never had a positive experience with the staff and was pretty taken aback by how rude they treated both me and my boyfriend. When I explained my experience to my friends, no one was surprised, unfortunately. Despite the product, I can't recommend going here ever.

Solid gift shop for the fancy lady in your life. Sunglasses, hand bags, jewelry. Classy items.

Although the leather quality was up there for their bags, I refuse to go back there because of the nonexistent service by the two gals at the front. Not a single hello upon entrance. Seems to be a theme across all the Yelp reviews too. They did greet the two Caucasian people who entered the store at the same time; therefore, that should provide you enough context of what you might walk into if you happen to be a person of diverse background. Bummer since the bags seem to be of quality.

Bags used to made in USA. Now due to over expansion made in Bangladesh. You won't know unless you ask. The salesgirl was pretty rude when I asked. Nothing wrong in knowing the origin. Quality has declined significantly possibly due to over expansion of stores. I own two bags from 2018-2019. Both fantastic style and quality. yes the suede is thinner than expected, but they have lasted. Now the suede is stiffer and quality is lacking. I couldn't wait to return what I got as a gift.

Super rude, smug sales associates. I won't shop here again. All customers should be treated decently. Shame on Clare V. for hiring condescending employees.

Found a cute purse here and asked the woman how much it was because there was no price tag on it. She said it was 325$ (or who knows). I said I really liked the strap on it and she agreed. I came back to the store to purchase it. The woman told me that it did not include the strap that it came with. She said the strap was an extra $150. So if you ever come to this store, I suggest you ask how much the straps are on the purses that you would like to get because apparently that's not included in the price of the bag.

Stopped in last night 2/17/20 to buy their Ciao trucker hat for a trip to Italy and was lucky enough to have Marie help me. She provided me the best customer service and was so so kind. This is my favorite CV location and she is one of the reasons why. Thank you!

Excellent online shopping if you cannot go to their California locations. The online site is easy to use with a wide array of their high quality and beautiful items. I ordered a beautiful monogrammed goat skin jewelry pouch as a gift for my daughter. She loves it. It's buttery soft and a definite keepsake. During the process, I contacted Customer Service a few times (because of my mistakes) and Kat took care of everything cheerfully and promptly. In my opinion, she went way over and above anything I would ever have expected to correct MY errors. I really can't say enough to praise her and her excellent customer service. I can say that I will shop with Clare V. again and I totally give them my highest recommendation. Thank you Kat and Clare V.

This brand has wonderful customer service and amazing pieces. I had a minor issue with something I had ordered and Rachel was quick to fix my issues with no questions ask. I could go on and on about how pleased I am with Clare V.

I had recently purchased the cheetah print backpack back in May. I purchased it for myself for my graduation gift and was super excited. I recently moved to Florida, where it tends to rain everyday. I had gone outside and my bag got wet. The color of the bag bled a little bit so I just figured I would message them just in case. I got a response back within the hour saying they would do a full return and get back to me on how much credit they would give me back. I received almost full price of the bag I had got ruined and I am so happy with how they treated me and just received a new bag with my credit. Love the company and will continue to purchase bags from them.

I was a bit hesitant to go to the store because of past reviews saying that the staff was a bit rude and lacking. I went there on a Sunday afternoon because I really wanted to purchase a Clare V bag and I want to check it out the quality of the bags in person. The staff at that time was super helpful and very nice. She answered all of my questions and helped me purchase a bag. I would definitely purchase another Clare V bag!

Some of the WORST customer service. When entering the store, do not expect to be greeted or even looked at. The employees seem to be too bothered to assist you, as I repeatedly vocalized that I wanted to know the price of an item. If you enjoy being ignored and literally brushed past by employees without treating you like a customer then this is your place. To the employees of this location: Just seems like if you are trying to sell bags for $200+ you might wanna try to be friendly to the people signing your paycheck. You're welcome :)

Pretty sure I won't be going back. I went in on a Friday and was greeted by 1 of 2 girls who worked there. The other one only greeted the white customers who came in. I thought about buying something, but couldn't stomach paying that much for a bag when the customer service was totally lacking. Love Clare V products but the sales staff need to ditch the attitude if people want to come back.

Great bags, I have 3 . After the last time I was in there I vowed never to give my money to this company. If the owner believes in having their storefront staff treat people so rudely they will no longer have my support.

I own a few Clare Vivier bags already so their brick and mortar shop was a must-visit on my recent LA trip from DC. The shop is small and well-organized. If you need to find a different colorway of a purse or foldover clutch, you'll likely find it here. This location also carries a few Clare V shirts (I love the Oui shirt!) among others. I was a little put off by the customer service which entailed both shopgirls standing behind the cash register (with no one in particular they were ringing up). When I was pretty much done looking around and on my way out, one of them shouted from behind the cash register if I found everything ok. With such a small shop, I was hoping for personalized service, not the last ditch effort of shouting at me from behind a counter. I don't really understand why shops like these even need a brick and mortar location as there seems to be way better customer service in dealing with their online store.

Every time I walk into this store I am overwhelmed by the obnoxious shop girls who inherently think they are better than the customers! This has been my experience on 3-4 occasions ( the same number of times I have been in) Whomever is doing the hiring should be fired. And to management, I can pretty much guarantee that each time I was interested in buying something and did not just because the salespersons are so off putting....Good thing the product pretty much sells itself for most.

Extraordinary customer service! I wasn't entirely happy with the mask I purchased (very ill-fitting bisou masks) and they responded to my complaint the next day and made it right. I will continue shopping with Clare V.

Place was great with unique, leather handbags to display the store walls. U could feel authenticity of each product. Awesome place to come by even if ur not buying anything.

Gorgeous boutique with one of a kind items, mostly leather goods. She has wonderful colors, fun patterns, great textures and top of the line Nasomatto perfumes, which I love. It is also a great source for gifts. Yes, its pricey, but the quality and unique designs are worth it.

Cute bags, but the service is lacking. Most of the girls are nice if a little inattentive. What prompted this review is a call I made recently to inquire about the monogram I had put on one of the bags I bought from them. Rather than trying to answer my question, I was told "I don't know. Google it!" Very off putting. They won't get more of my business.

I have been shopping at Clare V. for years but I had to post today because I was shocked to see any negative reviews. I am Asian and I am not the usual demographic for Clare's bags, but I have always been enthusiastically welcomed by every salesperson in this store. I have never seen any other customer treated in any other way. I have never felt pressured to buy anything, and the ladies always go out of their way to help and advise. If I leave without a purchase, they say good bye and thank me for coming in. This store is beautifully decorated, and Clare's bags are displayed with other products she likes. I always find it a treat to drop in. As for Clare's opinions -- yes, she is somewhat political but she is mostly feminist. I say, you go, girl! I do not know Clare personally nor have I ever met her -- but I follow her on Instagram. What I see is a proud, hard working, intelligent, inspiring woman who is conscious of the world around her, takes care of the many that she employs (her bags are made here in the USA), cares about her family, and has amazing style. To the negative posters who feel entitled to the red carpet treatment wherever they go, go somewhere else. You don't deserve Clare's beautiful bags.

So impressed with this company, and the people at this store in particular. They just do everything right. The products themselves are so beautiful and well made (locally, by the way) it's just one of those brands you always feel completely justified in supporting. Great design, quality craftsmanship, rooted in the community, backed up by staff who actually care about you being satisfied with the products? Shop here with confidence!

When I requested a dust bag to care for my calf hair clutch, I was told I needed to buy one. Not a great customer service choice, particularly when the customer is spending good money.

Just your typical overpriced Silverlake boutique. Customer service is pretty good. Nothing that really caught my eye except some flower arrangements that were placed in re purposed chile cans. I'm pretty sure that they were just decorations for the store.

I've been a fan of their leather goods for a long time and this was my first time seeing a variety of their goods in real life. High quality, chic, yet slightly unusual, and not too expensive. They have wonderful gifts and offer some niche fragrances as well. The saleswomen didn't look like they had a lot to do other than wait for you to pick something out, but they were pleasant. I did find out that all of the brand's handbags are manufactured in Los Angeles, which was a great surprise. I will visit again when I'm in the neighborhood and hopefully select a nice tote as a souvenir.

I read a magazine review about this store and loved the look of the bags on the website. So I went in and came away with 2 fabulous purses. Everything here is beautifully made and comes in an array of colours and textures... Especially the clutches. The store has a bit of a French feel... And for me it's great to have something from a local designer. Finally the girl who works there is super helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit !
