Claridge Hotel, Buenos Aires

This place is not a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was very poor - better off to avoid and eat out locally if you do end up staying here. The rooms are clean but very dated decor, the air con smelled of damp which was not pleasant and it was quite noisy bedroom. I would not recommend staying here nor would I stay here again.

This was an incredibly terrible hotel. I don't understand the 5 star rating. It's barely a 2 star.||You can tell at one point this was an opulent hotel. I like the architecture of the building and some other buildings in the area (check out the Naval building, absolutely beautiful). But the room itself was tiny. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets felt like they were 10 count. The bathroom was tiny and you had to maneuver around. The shower curtain was moldy and was pretty disgusting. Despite the shower curtain, the floor still managed to get soaked. The worst part was the walls. They are paper thin and we had the misfortune to be next to a room that sounded like a pornographic movie was being filmed. All the ridiculous screaming and moaning converted to loud snoring for the rest of the night. Look, I don't care what people do in their own hotel room, but I shouldnt have to listen to it. ||Positives: there was a pool, an exercise room and a mini fridge in the room. This hotel was also very centrally located. But I'm sure there are others in the vicinity that aren't a complete disaster like this place.

Great experience! Crew polite and speaks also English. We had wonderful time. Clean room, nice food. We took the Claridge suite. Recommend!

Old and run down. Rooms quite hot and a/c loud and ineffective. At one stage yellow liquid was coming out of the shower which then stained my towel (and I assume me)!||Breakfast in hotel far too expensive and very poor selection.||Staff do their best but really a hopeless task to lift this hotel above the dismal experience it offers.

No doubt once a good hotel - the bones are still there but clearly there has been no maintenance for years, everything chipped, stained and worn. To call it tired would be overly kind. Well located but there are much better options. Stay somewhere else

Old bones, tired bones of a hotel in a great location. Breakfast is $24US, we choose to get coffee and pastries from a local cafe.

The location of this hotel is really good. Close to the subway system, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. They have 2 elevators, both small and can have about 4 regular size people in them. Don't worry they move quickly. The rooms are a good size, can be considered small for 2 people yet not a deal breaker. The bathroom is nice. Spacious and the water warms up quickly. Note the shower pressure is intense. The rooms are thin and so is the door. For the time I was there I could hear people coming in and out of their rooms, when they had disagreements and even when someone in the room next to me was going in and out of their safe. The front desk didn't really do anything about it. So bring your ear plugs.
