Home Hotel Bergmästaren

During a short stay in Dalarna in lieu of a bigger trip to the west I stayed at Bergmästaren and the rooms were great - albeit very hot. This, however, is a regular Swedish thing. Unfortunate, but real. ||But the staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast good and the beds comfy!

I have been staying at some other hotels in Falun. This is the one I prefer and return to. Nice lobby where you can have a good glass of wine. They have a fairly good selection. A very nice dinner buffet is included. Rooms are good with space which is important for me on business trips

A great hotel experience. Friendly personell, modern clean rooms but with a lot of local character. Wonderful to see the history of the building in the photos in the dining room. Fell worth the price with all food included.

Had two rooms (#116 and #118) for one night and this review is based solely on the room and the breakfast, unfortunately, we had no time to enjoy the light dinner that seems to be included in the price.||This house comes with great location in central Falun as well as with some interesting history, which is always a bonus for people like us visiting Falun for the first time. The staff at the Bergmästaren are absolutely adorable: had a most welcoming check-in and check-out, in addition, the lady at breakfast made us feel very welcome.||The rooms (at least #116 and #118) are very basic with such soft beds, however, the bathrooms are very good with shower cubicles instead of the bathtub & shower combo that we don't find appealing at all. In addition, the rooms - at least the standard ones - could do with an update to include a kettle, a safe and a mini fridge to keep up with standards of the three-to-four-star category; not everybody has time for an evening meal in the restaurant, and some guests - including ourselves - might enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the room early in the morning and the luxury of a mini fridge for some late night snacks after a busy working day, as the light dinner included in the price finishes quite early.||The Home Hotel Bergmästaren comes with some very interesting history and a truly adorable staff, however, a slight update with the rooms (i.e. a kettle, a safe and a mini fridge) would make the hotel so much better.

I loved my stay at Clarion Collection Bergmästaren! The rooms have been recently renovated so they are very comfortable and quiet. The hotel offers a tasty breakfast as well as a good dinner meal free of charge! It is the first time I’ve ever found this in an hotel - very appreciated. The sauna and the fitness room were also very good. The rooms aren’t cleaned if we don’t ask for it for environmental concerns, this didn’t bothered me at all but I would just recommend the front desk to inform the guests as I found this information randomly while reading some paper advertised in my room. Thank you for this wonderful stay :)

Extremely nice and luxurious hotel. Nice staff, rooms and food!

I was a bit of a high-maintenance guest, asking about vegetarian alternatives to the meatballs that were the "light evening meal" that's included in the price. It turned out that there was also a big salad bar with plenty of beans but they warmed up some veggie lasagna for me anyway. Then I managed to shatter a glass in the bathroom, but they came and vacuumed it up right away. So the staff at this hotel were quite tolerant of me! A lot of care has been taken with the decor and it is really cool except for the carpets.

This Clarion hotel served our needs as a one nighter in Falun perfectly. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were pleasant and professional. The evening meal ( a buffet style) was good and included in the price of accommodation. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Overall, an extremely good value for money option.

Free breakfast AND dinner! Comfortable bed. Minus on star for `shower only, no tub `rooms need some updating and shine `clean the windows (so you can see better without opening the window)
