Old hotel with good charm. Our room was perfect for us three people. Lot of space, and big beds. ||Good drinks

It is very close to shops. There are a few small shopping malls near to the hotel. The train station is just across the street.

Wifi coverage in my room needs improvement, but it is an old stone building and otherwise it was a very pleasant stay, Close to everything in central Karlstad, especially the central station and the big shopping malls. comfortable walking distance to all attractions and events.

No food choice even after writing on the booking for allergies. Dinner of the day description was just in the local language. The room looks good, but there is no smart TV and the Remote is a universal one that doesn't work very well.

We stayed here for a single night on our way from Stockholm to Oslo. It is a good stopping point in between these cities and Karlstad itself is a pretty town, but small. The hotel room was clean and reasonable with good wifi and a good shower. There is a small bar in the hotel with friendly staff, making that a nice place to have a relaxing drink before dinner. We also had dinner at the hotel and while it was nothing special and served as a buffet, the food was wholesome and reasonably good. The included breakfast was a bit spare, but perhaps this reflected the fact that we were shooting for a very early start when we left.

Convenient location and a beautiful hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely and breakfast was very impressive, the range of food very good and catered for different dietary requirements which was appreciated. Room was roomy, comfortable, and quiet. Would happily stay here again.

Top marks to the staff. They are professional, attentive, personable and make a great effort to make sure that guests are well attended to. The hotel looks dated from the outside, the trimmings are not super luxurious but the comfort level is tops. We visited in Summer and enjoyed our spacious airconditioned room. The room is fresh, sheets clean, shower is nice and bed is comfortable. The hotel included a complimentary supper. There is a different menu each evening. We found the food fresh, tasty, good quality and healthy. The breakfast was also very good with a selection of freshly baked breads and a continental spread. Although there were many guests, things are calm and relaxing. The food is topped up quickly and tables cleaned and cleared by the attentive staff. Highly recommended this hotel.

I cannot say enough good about this hotel. It is directly across from the train station and a super short walk to the waterways and restaurants. My room was teeny tiny, but I paid for the twin economy. My friend had a much larger room that was lovely. My room was decorated nicely, super quiet, and had a refrigerator and coffee/tea maker. The breakfast, Fika, and dinner are all included and are AMAZING. Everything is homemade. Their wine is expensive, but across the street is a wine shop with inexpensive wine so we rotated between buying wine across the street and taking it to the park and hanging in the Drott Bar which was lovely.
