The hotel is in a good location, a short walk away from the Gågata pedestrian area with its restaurants and shopping. It's a much longer trek to the ski jump area which is definitely worth a visit when the jumpers are practicing. ||Parking in the hotel's garage is 250 NOK per night (you need to reserve space in advance). We actually parked outside the hotel on the street and used the EasyPark app to pay (the fee was minimal as parking was free from 5pm to 9am). ||Our basic room was a fairly standard size but with a nice shower room...and it was spotlessly clean. The only issue was the lack of air-conditioning. ||Unusually, our booking rate included both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a decent spread and in fact better than we had experienced in many more expensive hotels, whilst dinner turned out to be a Tex-Mex buffet. It was more than adequate and great value for money given the very reasonable rate that we had paid. ||The hotel has a small gym and sauna too, and lots of outdoor terrace seating. In the afternoon, they serve complimentary cake with tea or coffee (tea/coffee are freely available at anytime). ||Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel.

We spent 5 days at the Home Hotel Hammer and really enjoyed the experience. The setting was beautiful, with views of the hills, and the complimentary breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and really helpful with giving us tips on getting around. It was easy to call for a taxi and go just about everywhere to see the local sites. Our only complaint about the hotel is that there is no television station in English - no BBC, no CNN, etc. It would be nice to at least have one station where English-speaking guests can get some news in their own laguage. But aside from that, it's a very nice hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

Nice little hotel, the dinner was tasty and the breakfast was also quite good. In a response to the negative review that someone left about no air conditioning and no amenities….this hotel is at 61degrees north latitude….where air conditioning is not common or needed….the room was clean and simple, if you have come to Lillehammer to stay in a hotel you have missed the point…see the town and walk around. This hotel was perfectly located on the main road!!! Would definitely stay here again

It's a pretty basic hotel, which for the price is actually really great. They include breakfast, light dinner all inclusive, which in a place as expensive as Norway is kinda wild for the price. Which excuses a lot of issues, namely the bed is really cheap, the mattress very saggy, room was quite hot. Everything was clean though. Great parking (though expensive) and everyone seemed very friendly.

Clean with small rooms, a pleasant staff and nice breakfast. Efficiently and inexpensively appointed. Very utilitarian. Location is good for exploring Lillehammer. Shower is extremely tiny and I am a small person. Towels are thin. No cloth bath mat provided. Adequate.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Home Hotel Hammer ! The night was truly amazing, filled with special moments that made our trip unforgettable. The dinner was exceptional—beautifully presented, delicious, and served with such warm hospitality. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide variety of tasty options that started our day perfectly. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail were top-notch. We captured some lovely moments on video and in photos, which we’ll cherish. Highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience!

This charming hotel is located at the end of the commercial street in Lillehammer. The shower is on the smaller side but serves the purpose. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We had the buffet dinner of “Tex-Mex”. Well, not our best meal on the trip. Dining room needs some acoustical treatment because when there is a larger crowd, the noise just bounces around, making it very hard to hear conversations. The lobby has several smaller seating areas for more intimate gatherings. It’s close to nearby shops that sells mostly quality products and souvenirs.

Modern and spacious rooms, great location within the centre. Good dinner included in the price (buffet style). Please note that the first hour of the dinner service can be really packed given that seemingly everyone wants to eat then. The second hour is not nearly as crowded. Decent breakfast buffet as well.

I have been traveling for past ten+ months. From US, through Europe, to Australia, Asia, and now in Norway. This is the first time I have run into rude front desk and I am totally taken aback - so the young lady gets the ribbon for worst front desk encounter in the past ~290 days. The restaurant, however, served wholesome, delicious food that deserves high praise. Clarion hotel is fortunate to have Fahad. Rooms were clean, bathroom floor was heated (loved it), and rooms were quiet.

4 stars? Really? No coffee pot, no water, no rug in the bathroom and shower is smaller than a ship. Also the shower door falling apart. Also no safe box in the room... companies ask to don't carry passport. Where should I do now? can wait to see what will happen in the breakfast... look like the motel 5 because the motel 6 have it all.

Very happy with our stay here. Front Desk was very helpful and it was just a short 5 minute walk to the main shopping, food and museum. Free, wonderful dinner and breakfast included. Parking was close and free for our stay. Some construction activity, but it did not impact us. The rooms and building are clean and fresh.
