My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Home Hotel Hammer ! The night was truly amazing, filled with special moments that made our trip unforgettable. The dinner was exceptional—beautifully presented, delicious, and served with such warm hospitality. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide variety of tasty options that started our day perfectly. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail were top-notch. We captured some lovely moments on video and in photos, which we’ll cherish. Highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience!

Modern and spacious rooms, great location within the centre. Good dinner included in the price (buffet style). Please note that the first hour of the dinner service can be really packed given that seemingly everyone wants to eat then. The second hour is not nearly as crowded. Decent breakfast buffet as well.

Pleasant one-night stay at Hotel Hammer. Comfy twin beds and room quiet throughout the night. Aircon definitely could have been stronger as it was a pretty warm day and temperature controls not the easiest to navigate. The Front Desk said the room would cool down later in the day and also provided a small desk fan, which was appreciated. Dinner was average but given it’s included in the room-price there would be no reason to skip this perk. We were lucky enough to find a free parking spot right in front of the hotel and just had to vacate by 9am. Standard breakfast buffet-coffee was very good. Great location to the center for shopping, people watching and grabbing a drink.

Very nice property. However, in the summer months (like now) there is no A/C in the rooms. During the day they get quite hot. They only have a couple fans. So good luck getting one. Restaurant on property is a buffet. Everything is new and modern. Coffee machine is typical of European hotels.

On arrival we were given a very warm welcome by the Receptionist who spoke perfect English. She explained how we could find the underground car park, which we had pre-booked. She told us about the mealtimes, which included a delicious evening buffet meal, which was easily enough for us. Our bed was comfortable. The hotel was located in the town and we could easily walk to shops and places of interest. |The only very small negative point is that the curtains were not sufficient to make the room dark for sleeping. This may just be our personal taste but we prefer a room that has thick curtains to keep out the light.

What a stay! Location is in main street in nice old house. Service was fantastic all the way. Best part was food. Breakfast and dinner was really excellent for this kind of ordinary hotel. Bus stop to cross country skiing (Birkebeiner ski stadion) was next to hotel. I’m 110% sure, that I will stay here also next visit to Lillehammer!

This is a coozy hotel with a verry friendly staff! Its perfectly located on the central/main street of Lillehamer. Its about a half hour walk to the skijump area and a half hour to the lake. The dinner buffet was on the special side, it has some good things in it but i didnt realy like the one warm dinner that was served. The breakfast on the other hand was delicius! Lots of different specialitys from the area! We realy enjoyed our stay there!!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we felt so comfortable and looked after. The hotel receptionists were so helpful and explained everything. |It’s a great central location. We were XC skiing, easy access to taxi and buses to the ski slopes. |We booked for half board, however naturally we thought we would eat out elsewhere however, dinner was well worth staying in for. |I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I have been traveling for past ten+ months. From US, through Europe, to Australia, Asia, and now in Norway. This is the first time I have run into rude front desk and I am totally taken aback - so the young lady gets the ribbon for worst front desk encounter in the past ~290 days. The restaurant, however, served wholesome, delicious food that deserves high praise. Clarion hotel is fortunate to have Fahad. Rooms were clean, bathroom floor was heated (loved it), and rooms were quiet.

4 stars? Really? No coffee pot, no water, no rug in the bathroom and shower is smaller than a ship. Also the shower door falling apart. Also no safe box in the room... companies ask to don't carry passport. Where should I do now? can wait to see what will happen in the breakfast... look like the motel 5 because the motel 6 have it all.

Very happy with our stay here. Front Desk was very helpful and it was just a short 5 minute walk to the main shopping, food and museum. Free, wonderful dinner and breakfast included. Parking was close and free for our stay. Some construction activity, but it did not impact us. The rooms and building are clean and fresh.
