Clarion Collection Hotel Kung Oscar

Love this hotel, the staff is friendly and the rooms are great! Love the location and from the hotel room to Gothenburg station 40 min by train makes it great alternative to a hotel in Gothenburg. ||The food at night and the breakfast was great as well. I’ll be back!

This hotel is one of the more odd I have stayed at. The dinner is included?! The hotel is located not far from the city center. The positive thing was the service. Superhelpful. The breakfast was really good. We measure our hotel stays by their scrambled eggs. This eggs were perfect. We will probably come back. This hotel has it charm. Updated: We tried the dinner this time and it was fantastic. Update2: I have stayed at several hotels around the world, and this is the best hotel that suits me. It is small, cozy with great service. I could easily spend a week here, just to relax. Update3: Some negativity. They have installed some wired switches to lights in the room. We couldn't understand how it worked. The staff seemed to have the same problem. It is a light switch. Do not complicate simple things!

This is my sixth stay at hotel Kung ascar from last 10 years almost. All supporting staff is very helpful. Please appreciate each and evary staff. Keep up the good work. Stayed here as a stopover on way to Norway. Clean and easy. Surprised to see evening buffet included in price. Breakfast was tasty. Solid place

Perfect all inclusive stay. Room spotless, good space and luxury elements such as coffee machine, safe, fridge, iron, hair dryer. Tasty dinner, large selection for breakfast. 5 minutes walk to the center by the canal. Young woman at the reception focused and friendly. She added another star, so we are happy to give top marks.

Stayed at the hotel during business trip. Rooms were clean, breakfast delicious with large selection of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from the train station

Stayed two nights at the Clarion Kung Oscar which was overall enjoyable. It is nice that dinner is included in the price, but there is only one main dish which was meat-centric on both evenings. I could have asked for vegan food and perhaps they would have prepared some for me, but I find it reasonable to expect that such options are offered by default - or the hotel could ask people about dietary preferences before arrival. Similar considerations apply for the breakfast which I found too meat centric. Tea drinkers beware - the boiling water comes from a kettle which kitchen staff has to refill (they need reminders, and one morning, the kettle did not work) - this is not acceptable. The hotel should invest into a samovar. Nevertheless, hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel location is excellent, so I would still recommend this place when you want to stay in the beautiful city of Trollhättan.
