Very centrally located (close to train station). Nice and functional room. The service is truly great. Parking exactly on the other side of the street at a reasonable price

Central location right by the Train station. Good service at the reception. Great breakfast and evening meal. Average Fika but a splendid stay altogether. Utilized the sauna and jacuzzi, but only for a,limited time - Could have been improved

The rooms are well equipped but look a little old. Breakfast and lunch included and this is very comfortable. The wasn't fried eggs on breakfast! Catastrophe! 😀

We were extremely well taken care of with staff meeting all of our needs with extra beds and linen. We were charged a bit more than we received in the room, but they made sure to take it off the bill. We payed 3 800 SEK for two nights in a superior room and an extra bed.||||We had a child who was sick and the staff helped cleaning up after him and were very accommodating. The blonde~25 year old receptionist and ~40 year old breakfast hostess with dark hair, both female, were so helpful and service minded!||||The concept with included fika and dinner is also great, especially when traveling with kids. Definitely pick this hotel when going to Karlstad!

A pretty good hotel, somewhat close to the city center. Still not too much noise, which of course is a big plus. Room was nice, clean and somewhat spacious, if a bit old fashioned. The bathroom was modern though. Breakfast area was also good, with the standard continental offerings. I liked that they had a lot of fruit. As it is a Clarion Collection hotel, dinner was included. I arrived a bit late but the staff was nice enough to get me a plate anyways. Much appreciated. Overall the best part of the hotel was the service. Staff was nice, happy and helpful. That bumped the overall score from a 3-star to a 4-star review.

I visited this hotel with my wife in June. The first room we checked into was incredibly warm, and smelled like a wet towel. There was no ventilation at all, not even a fan in the bathroom. The window which looked out over the indoor restaurant could not be opened. The girl in the reception was new on the job and it took 45 minutes to see another room. The new room was exactly the same. The room already cost 140EUR and she made us pay 20EUR to upgrade to a room with a window which could open. The new room was also extremely damp and warm which made it impossible to sleep. After an evening shower, the mirror in the bathroom was still foggy the following morning. Surprised this is even legal, as there must certainly be mould in the rooms. Otherwise the bed was comfy and clean. Dinner was nothing special but breakfast was very good. Generally in need of renovation, not nearly the standard one would expect at other Clarion hotels, or any hotel at that price. Would not recommend and would not go back.

We stayed in a two room suite with a spacious bathroom which has a double sink and two showers. Everything was very clean and quiet with blackout curtains and very good air conditioning. A great breakfast buffet is included and they will make an egg white omelet if requested. Also included is an afternoon coffee/tea with small cakes and cookies PLUS dinner! Yes, that's right, dinner is included which has a vegetarian soup, main course (fish or chicken or meat) with a potato side dish and a salad bar which includes pasta salad, cole slaw, olives, beet salad, green bean salad and generous toppings like croutons and bacon bits. They will make a vegan main course upon request. The coffee/tea bar is included for this meal as well. Parking is just across the street and the town's pedestrian area begins right next to the hotel. The service people are fabulous and go above and beyond to satisfy any need!
