Home Hotel Grand Helsingborg

We decided to take a last minute weekend get-away and found this hotel. It is located perfect, in the center of Helsingborg, with plenty of parking nearby. The room (we got upgraded to Superior) was excellent; clean, large, quiet and plenty of amenities. The hotel offered free afternoon coffee and cake, a dinner buffee was included and, of course, breakfast, all of which was excellent. Their bar was awesome, especially if yoy like gin (they have more than 100 different). Overall an awesome stay, highly recommended!

As good as it should! The location is good, in the beating heart of this beautiful Swedish town. The hotel is close to the main attractions, bars, restaurants, the harbour and the shopping centre. The breakfast is very reach and can choses from a variety of local or international food, the bread is fresh and the coffee is of a very good quality. They have a sort of tea time as well between 3 and 5 pm where coffee, tea and cakes are served for free! The dinner is included in the price and it is a sort of all you can eat. There is also an indoor gym and Sauna. The personal is helpful and service is excellent 👍

Stayed 4 nights , and was really pleasantly surprised. I LOVED this hotel. The staff was amazing . The staff in the reception, the staff at breakfast , the staff at the free included dinner... all met the customers with big smiles. although I had a single room the bed was queen size , the bathroom was in good shape and the hotel it self has a lovely atmosphere. It even has its own Ghost on the 5th floor! The Breakfast buffet was incredible and the Dinner real good food. I had a really happy and comfortable stay! Thank you!

Who goes home to relax! Room needed an update, scruffy and feels disappointing especially in the bathroom despite a good size bath. A waiting room is more fun. ||However, really nice staff and breakfast saved this stay and review :)||

Stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms on the mezzanine floor, party including 2 small children. + Excellent location - short walk to central train station, fortification and promenade + Staff - an asset to this hotel - recpetion staff always accommodating and striving to help in even the slightest way, housekeeping were less helpful though + food - breakfast, fika and dinner all of good quality - didn't have a bad meal here - rooms - very stuffy (no AC), very dated, very bare and not the most spacious - accessibility - the central elevator was permanently broken, leaving only one small functional elevator on the left side of the hotel for all guests, which was very slow. The hotel also has an unusual format, probably due to it's history/age, in that there are stairs to negotiate even after using the elevator which doesn't make it pram-accessible at all - I feel this should be clearly advertised online to avoid disappointment as it may influence booking - if you want to store your luggage, you have to make it down 2 flights on stairs to the basement and do the same back up again when you want to collect your luggage again - breakfast was over-crowded and frantic and could have been improved by a reservation system, to avoid people walking around aimlessly to find tables. Also rather unsafe navigating narrow aisles with hot drinks and plates of food with kids and waiting staff hastily walking around at the same time - noise - stayed over a weekend and music/conservational noise until early hours definitely affected sleep quality Overall, I found aspects of the hotel very good, but not sufficiently so to consider booking again, especially if accessibility was key.

Very nice hotel , service was good but a few missing services for a 4 star hotel. No toiletries in the bathroom, no communication when you’re in the room to the reception. No bathrobes.

Food and service are excellent. Note that this is a classic old hotel so lacks some facilities but food and others are great
