A 10 Day Itinerary Down Sweden's Coast

"Located right in the center of town, I found the rooms comfy, appreciated the plentiful space and gym, and thought the breakfast buffet had everything you could want for a solid, affordable stay in Luleå." - Matthew Kepnes

Careful when booking. There are seriously rooms with no windows. These rooms have a maximum of 12 m² - so very tiny. The walls are paper thin. On the positive side. Team was very friendly and location is prime. For 150 Eur I have somehow different expectations.

This is one of the best hotels in the northern parts of Sweden/Norway/Finland and their breakfast is top rated in Sweden. Their rooms are beautiful and they have a spa. This hotel is located in the Swedish city of Luleå. They have great service and the spa is super amazing. If you have your ways past here I recommend it.

I recently stayed one night at the Clarion Hotel in Luleå, Sweden, and wanted to share my experience. The hotel's aesthetic, both inside and out, is very modern, attractive, and cozy. Its location is perfect for visitors, as the city center is just a few meters away, allowing for easy exploration on foot. The rooms are exceptionally cozy and spacious, and I especially appreciated the comfortable pillows. Additionally, the hotel features a rooftop bar with spectacular views and offers a truly delicious breakfast. I highly recommend checking out the Clarion Hotel if you are visiting or passing through Luleå. Thank you. Travel Kinderdijk

Temperature inside the rooms cannot be adjusted from inside the room. Windows are closed and cannot be opened. During our stay the temperature inside felt too warm, also we felt there was not enough fresh air inside, so we had to keep the entrance door fully open all the time during the morning. Important toiletries are missing: paper tissues, shower cap, not speaking about the rest. No shoe horn. No house phone.

Nice hotel with an ok spa. The staff at the hotel was really friendly though. I especially liked the friendliness of the person working at the spa. This was my first time visiting Sense hotel in Luleå. I had visited one in Stockholm before, and I was a bit disappointed how small the pool was compared with one in Stockholm.

Well, i dont know where to start. Its for sure one of the best locations in lulea, but... Rooms are very medium, my was in the basement (!) i knew that before, but what i didint know was that it will be very small, with broken, old shower, broken tiles, clogged drain etc, like in 2 star hotel in other countries. And the price for that amazing place was ... 250 euro per night XD. Thats crazy i know. Another problem was with staff, i asked for late check-out, my plane was delayed for a few hours, and i told them that of course i can pay extra for that but they tolde me that theyre fully booked and no option. Guess what? Most of the rooms were empty. Is it so hard to tell me "mister its our policy that we dont do this"? However i must say that restaurant, lobby and breakfasts are on a very good level.

Nice hotel and a pleasant shower. I remove 2 stars due to reception never coming to our room to open windows. And the room was unpleasant to sleep in due to the heat ( and for some reason you couldnt adjust ac in the room). Apart from that huge negative it was great.

This is perfect hotel to stay in case of a nuclear conflict, as - together with my friend - we got rooms with no window :-) After the first shock, we found it quite convenient as nights are very short in Luleå in May... Jokes aside: we appreciated the professional staff and tasty breakfast. Next time however we will make sure to get rooms with windows.

Yelp
We found an interior room here through Booking.com. I never would've guessed that a Clarion would be such a posh experience, but all the reviews said it was the place to be. We took the bus from the airport, and so arrived walking past the rainbow wall around the corner. It's a little confusing since there is an exit on the shopping street, but the entrance is across from Kulture Hus. The space is modern and bright, with orbs that light up different neon colors in time with the music, and electronic fireplaces. The staff at the desk is friendly and efficient, but they can get quite busy, especially when the lobby is full and people are ordering drinks. We got an interior room on the 2nd floor - down the stairs to the right of the desk. There was a lift, but it was only one flight of stairs so we managed. The room was no-nonsense. Two beds pushed together with plain white duvets, side reading lamps, backlit headboard. It also had two fold-down bunks with ladder, so you could've held a family (though not with American-sized luggage). The bath was small but clean and bright with hooks in the right places and towel heaters. There was a long shower glass that could fold out a little further to give you space, but I still managed to soak the bathroom. The TV had enough channels, even in English, but Jimmy managed to get it out of sync, so we ended up using the screen mirroring function and free wifi to watch Netflix instead. We'd asked in advance about spa treatments and were told to just go to the spa to book. When we arrived and did so, it was, of course, booked. The Skybar is the place to be on Friday nights. There is a velvet rope situation in the lobby to get in. On Thursday night, it was no problem to get a drink at the bar and watch the snow blow into drifts on the balcony. Breakfast is a nice spread - fresh bread, jams and jellies, eggs, fruit, tea, coffee, all with the same great view. The location can't be beat - just a short walk to the main bus stop, on the aisle of shopping, close to the top restaurants in town, and just across from the water and the Kulture Hus.
