We stayed one night on the front end and one night on the back end of our trip and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. We somehow lucked out and got spacious rooms both times that had a 180-degree view of Tromso and the harbor.||• The bed and pillows were super comfortable.|• The hotel provided shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and body lotion, as well as a hair dryer, yoga mat, mini bar/fridge, safe, makeup mirror, and robes (no slippers).|• Multiple hooks in the room and bathroom – not enough hotels do this - and a wardrobe with hangers|• They were able to hold our luggage for us both coming and going|• The breakfast buffet was extensive and the omelet station was a cherry on top|• The location can’t be beaten – we were walking distance from the harbor, Storgata Street, and even the cathedral (if you don’t mind a walk across the bridge)||I’m not sure what I was expecting, but the hotel lobby and restaurant/bar are elegant and comfortable. This is a great option for one night or your entire trip!

Stayed at this hotel during our visit to Tromso. The location was great. The room was average. But the highlight was the breakfast selection. There range of Nordic style breakfast, international breakfast and much more. We love their all day beverage stations which also has the on the go cups available

We really enjoyed our stay at the Clarion The Edge Hotel in Tromsø. The rooms are comfortable and nicely designed, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect, close to everything in the city, and the breakfast was outstanding with plenty of delicious options. We also loved the Rituals toiletries, a lovely touch of luxury. The only small inconvenience was the lack of a telephone in the room, which made it a bit difficult to contact reception. Overall, a great hotel that I’d happily recommend!

Wide rooms considering the necessity of warming. Very clean even for the Italian standards. Young, polite and efficient personnel. English everywhere spoken. Just in the centre of the town in front of the cruise harbour, near practically to every interesting place. The restaurant offers tasty cuisine (Nord Europe's opening hours).

Best breakfast buffet. Nice dining area with plenty of seating. Good hours. Nice showers with a roomy bathroom. Would stay here again. Very reasonable prices. Great view from our room’s window. Best location.

2nd visit to Clarion and 3rd to tromso. We booked a family room this time and the room was very big ! Beds were super comfortable and the room was very quite, never heard a noise except the horns of the ships which was great! The check in girl was so lovely, breakfast was brilliant. Location sets this hotel apart as it really is the perfect location . Will definitely stay here again for next years visit

Good experience overall. Rooms are nice but maybe not the most recent ever. We stayed on two separate occasions and the furniture in the first room was a bit damaged. Second room was much nicer. Service is pretty good. Two things for further improvements: 1. Luggage storage is not super well managed. You store your luggage yourself, no tags on the luggage and you get nothing to prove you dropped something off. Also when you pick it up, nobody comes with you and you are fully unsupervised. Security wise, that’s not fantastic. Also the door is super heavy and it’s not easy to manage while your hands are full. 2. There is no way to reach reception from your room as there is no phone. This is also unpractical as for any little thing, you need to go to reception and queue for a while if you’re unlucky and a group of people just arrived for check in. On a super positive note, breakfast is fantastic! Location is also super ideal. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, just a couple improvements to do here and there.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. It’s located directly across from the main dock and is a short walk to a lot of restaurants and tourist sights.||||We stayed in a junior suite that was spacious and pretty nice. Lots of space for luggage and storage. Nice views of the water. The furniture was pretty cheap, though, particularly the loveseat.||||The bathroom was nice with a large sink and plenty of storage space. The shower worked well but the flat-bottomed sink drained poorly.||||We got Sky News and the occasional English tv program with Norwegian subtitles. WiFi was slow and somewhat spotty.||||Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good.||||Front desk and breakfast employees were friendly and helpful.||||I initially booked the room on the Choice Hotels website and was disappointed to learn that the stay didn’t qualify for Choice privilege points. I subsequently found a cheaper rate on Booking.com and re-booked with them since I wasn’t getting points anyhow.||||We booked the junior suite because the regular and superior rooms looked very small in the website photos. I saw a few rooms that had their doors open and they were larger than they appeared in the photos.||||Overall, we liked the place and would probably stay here again.
