Clarion Hotel® The Edge

Good experience overall. Rooms are nice but maybe not the most recent ever. We stayed on two separate occasions and the furniture in the first room was a bit damaged. Second room was much nicer. Service is pretty good. Two things for further improvements: 1. Luggage storage is not super well managed. You store your luggage yourself, no tags on the luggage and you get nothing to prove you dropped something off. Also when you pick it up, nobody comes with you and you are fully unsupervised. Security wise, that’s not fantastic. Also the door is super heavy and it’s not easy to manage while your hands are full. 2. There is no way to reach reception from your room as there is no phone. This is also unpractical as for any little thing, you need to go to reception and queue for a while if you’re unlucky and a group of people just arrived for check in. On a super positive note, breakfast is fantastic! Location is also super ideal. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, just a couple improvements to do here and there.

I booked this hotel mainly due to the good review on the Internet. Opted the Queens deluxe room. The room is not particularly spacious. It faces the Polaris, not the Arctic Cathedral. The view is pleasant however. There is no bath tub. Decor is Scandinavian. Service is friendly and prompt. The best is the breakfast with adequate varieties and deliciousness.

We booked 2 rooms for my family. The location is perfect for quiet stay. Beautiful environment with easy access to long beach walks or runs. Safe area. Good public transportation that takes you to downtown in 15-20 minutes. Buffet breakfast was lovely.

AMAZING HOTEL. First off, the receptionist was very friendly, funny and helpful. The rooms were incredible! Black out blinds, lovely bathroom with shower and Rituals products. The beds were comfy and there were lots of facilities to use. Great location with amazing views from every room! The breakfast was the best - food quality was incredible and the selection was impeccable. What really struck me was how friendly and accommodating the staff were! They all spoke English, even though most of them spoke like 7 languages. Overall an amazing hotel, I had a great stay, and would 100% recommend

Location was absolutely perfect. Central to everything and was across the street from my ship. Room was the perfect size for one person. Temperature was too hot in the room and no way to turn it down. Woke up boiling in the middle of the night Breakfast buffet was awesome! Had dinner one night. Had the hamburger and fries from the menu. Very tasty but I felt the portion size was small given the price. Restaurant staff would not allow me to take my food back to the room.I would recommend this hotel because of the location and price.

This hotel does not have on site parking but the public car park is nearby. You are able to check in by leaving your car in the layby, taking your suitcases but you must then move the car to the car park. Reception staff were efficient and helpful and gave a route map to the car park (800 kr for 2 days). We were located on the 6th floor, the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel supports green initiatives and ask customers to help with this. For example if you do not need your room cleaning to put sign on the door to say so. The sky bar on the top floor was quite disappointing - fairly scruffy and needed cleaning. Long queues at the bar with only 2 staff. The house tempranillo wine was not good, had probably been opened for a while. Breakfast service was very busy and finding a table was difficult. Good selection of hot and cold food replenished as required .

Absolutely amazing Hotel. Honestly, words cannot describe the experience. Breakfast? Excellent choice and high quality food. Very friendly staff and facilities are fantastic. Free gym just a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Beds are heavenly. You just sink into a domain of comfort and curtains are completely light blocking for summer. They all speak very good English and are very happy to help you out at reception. Additionally, there is a taxi booking service just next to reception

Our check in experience was great, easy, and quick! The room was clean, spacious and had an incredible view. Breakfast was our favorite! It’s included and had a massive selection. We stayed 3 nights and truly enjoyed our time! This hotel is in the perfect location! Book this one!
