"Urban Education No swimming in this wash—it’s the treated urban waste on its way to Lake Mead. But a brand-new $15 million visitor center offers an interesting education on how the system has greatly improved in recent years in order to allow the Wetlands and its vegetation and wildlife to thrive. The volunteers there can also help interested guests navigate the miles of concrete and gravel walking trails."

Had a very pleasant visit to the park. Perfect location to watch the sunrise. The trails are well marked and not very busy. I only saw a handful of other people there at 6:15am. It's a great place to see wildlife—I saw numerous types of birds, waterfowl, raccoons, and rabbits. There are walking trails and biking trails. I was hiking, but would definitely bring a bicycle next time.

I love this park. It's so serene and quiet. Usually a little busy, but everyone is very courteous. Lots of wildlife. No dogs allowed to help preserve and protect the wildlife.

We had a great time here. We went to the bicycle trail and it was amazing! The sunset was incredible. This park is huge! You can spend the entire day here. My husband has that app that shows you all the trails, and he always knows where we are and how to return to our car. I recommend getting one of those because there are miles and miles of trails and forks and I probably would get lost. We did 6.5 miles and didn't really explore much. Will be going back to see if we reach the mountain part of the trails, which was probably a 12 mile long trail.

Amazing place to visit. A hidden gem in the city. Everything was so nature and more nature. The Wetlands is a great place to walk and have some fun with the kids. They have events throughout the month for a low fees or no fees for some events. They have free parking. Check or call for days and hours the Wetlands are open. Highly recommend if you love different and nature!

Great trail for biking! Lots of spurs but we tried to make it a loop (which is what it says). Once we hit power bridge and headed back, we lost the trail and found tent encampments. We had to take surface roads from UNLV back to the trailhead. Maybe we got lost. I think we biked about 17 miles. We basically biked from Las Vegas city limits to Las Vegas Lake and back.

We parked at the nature center and rode our bikes on the paved path. it was pretty neat but could not help but worry that our car might get broken into. Turned out the car was fine, but be aware that the surrounding neighborhood is sketchy, so do not leave any valuables in your car.

I recently visited Wetlands Park in Las Vegas and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and serene it was. The park is located just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, but it feels like a world away. The park is well-maintained and offers a variety of trails for walking, hiking, and birdwatching. I was amazed by the diversity of wildlife I saw during my visit, including herons, ducks, pelicans, a coyote and even a few turtles. The wetlands themselves are stunning, with lush vegetation and tranquil ponds that make for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One thing that really impressed me about Wetlands Park is the educational opportunities it offers. There are signs along the trails that provide information about the plant and animal species that call the park home, as well as the importance of wetlands conservation. It's a great place to learn more about the natural world and the role wetlands play in supporting biodiversity. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Wetlands Park if you're looking for a break from the chaos of the city. It's a hidden gem in Las Vegas that offers a chance to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the desert landscape. I will definitely be returning for another visit in the future. "I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Constance during my recent visit to Wetlands Park in Las Vegas.
