We came back for the second season and were very impressed again. The apples are really delicious this year. Must visit, what stood out was the very welcoming atmosphere and employees/farmers. I did a lot of research on highly rated farms and ones that allowed dogs on leash. Parking was easy and no cost, bag sizes and differences in cost per conventional and organic were explained upfront, and everyone was happy to help and enjoyed being there. Clarke’s has three locations but this one has the organic and low spray orchards, which is why we picked this farm. We did buy a lot of organic apples and lots of baked goods and some apple cider. Going apple picking is supposed to be fun and enjoyable on a fall day and it was. We will be back next autumn! 🍂

Excellent, excellent excellent. Skydive airplanes overhead! Sky divers overhead falling from the heavens! Most friendly and helpful owners. gave us the whole rundown inviting and helpful. Tractor/hay ride. Corn maze. Bago. Hand washing station. Every tree filllllled with gorgeous bright healthy apples. Lots and lots organic. Some low spray. Pick your own pumpkins/ squash Just perfect. Well done. See ya next year.

A warm, welcoming, family-friendly farm. We would definitely recommend it- no entrance fees, no parking fees. Apples you pay per bag as many apples as you can fit into one bag would you recommend this farm.

It was a pretty awesome experience. Apple picking is something you need to do at least once in your life. You can enjoy this activity with family and friends. We had a really good time there and people were friendly. They have different products derived from apples such as cider, apple juice , apple donuts, apple pie and more desserts. There is no entrance price. You just pay for the bag of apples you will take home. The small Apple bag was $18 and a big Apple bag was $35. Depending on the size of the apple you pick you will get as many as you want. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

On my way to the Catskills Plant Nursery, I pulled into the driveway and when I got to the orchard, I knew I was in a very special place. The sunshine, fresh air tinged with the smell of hot apple cider donuts. The apples are easy to pick and I had a helper who helped fill my bag, checking each apple carefully before carefully placing in my big bag. If they had coffee or hot apple cider, they’d make a killing. The nicest folks you’ve ever met. Stop by.

It was our first time at Clarke’s and it is now our new favorite farm. To preface, we have been coming to new paltz to pick apples for close to a decade and have been to most of the farms in the area. Clarke’s has the BEST apples. Period. The owners were so warm and welcoming despite the downpour from Ophelia, accommodated my family. They lent us rain jackets so we wouldn’t be drenched. $35 for the large bag of low-spray apples that were the biggest, sweetest juiciest apples we have ever had. (You can see our loot from the picture) Even my husband and kids couldn’t stop saying how good the apples were 😂 We can’t wait to come back on a nice day to pick organic apples, take the hay ride, and sample their baked goods. We definitely will be returning to this farm every year from now on!! ❤️

Google
Wonderful! Loads of organic apples and low spray apples. There’s also a corn maze, pumpkin picking, hayrides to everything, or you can walk, and they're also dog friendly. We’re definitely going to be coming back a few more times this falls

Yelp
Gorgeous clean farm with very friendly staff. We tried their freshly baked apple cider donuts and it was delicious. Very happy to see the different apple variety they have and Asian pear. They are low spray and organic fruits so don't be surprised when you see bugs on the pear or apple. It's very delicious and clean !

Yelp
Every year we try a new orchard, and this year's choice was awesome. Everyone was super friendly, it wasn't overly crowded, the apples were plentiful and delicious! We even got some Asian pears! They also sold all varieties of squash, which I'm excited to try! And, of course, the obligatory apple cider donuts! We even went to one of the sister orchards on the way home! If we don't go back again this season, we will back for the next one! THANK YOU CLARKE FAMILY FOR A GREAT DAY!

Yelp
I took a big bag to pick the apples. Then I changed my mind to take only few apples. so I was transferring the apples to a small bag. The owner of the farm came and objected. So basically he forced me to buy a big bag ( more cost) of apples. I was not happy. If we have pay by the size of the bag, how does it matter to the owner?. This is no way to treat a visitor who drove more than 75 miles.

Yelp
Just finished making some apple sauce with my apple haul from Clarkes. What a wonderful place. The owner was so nice, the tractor driver was funny, and the guy making the apple cider donuts was the hero we all need but don't deserve. We rolled up on a drizzly day and still had a great time. We split a dozen apple cider donuts in approximately 4 minutes. Those donuts would have been worth the 1.5 hour drive from NYC, but the fun didn't stop there. Pumpkins and apples galore! So many apple varieties and it was so reasonably priced. If you want gimmicky, commercial farms go elsewhere. If you want your kid begging you to ride a pony or visit the gift store, keep moving. If you want some great apples picked in a beautiful setting come here.

Yelp
Clarkes family farm is kind of a hidden gem. We discovered them via roadside signs and were really happy we did. They have a variety of no-spray and low-spray options (we loaded up on no-spray crimson crisp and cameo apples). Pricing is very straightforward and there was no entry fee. Row labeling was consistent and clear. Apples were actually abundant and some trees appeared to be bursting with apples! There are some extras here, like fresh cider donuts, cider, jams, gourds, and a party area. The donuts were warm and it took all the willpower I had to pass (only because I wouldn't have had a chance to eat them warm)! Everyone was super friendly and helpful; we will definitely be back!

Yelp
One of be best farms I have been to in a very long time. Very friendly owner, wide variety of apples and pick your own pumpkins!!! Had a wonderful time there. So glad I stumbled across it in search of a decent pumpkin. Will be a yearly tradition for sure. Cider donuts a big bonus

Yelp
Super awesome family operated orchard!! Stopped in today with my husband, his mom and his son! Friendly, helpful owner! The apple picking was so much fun and they have a great selection of different types of apples! Stop in, grab a bag of delicious apples! Hay ride, pumpkins too. We will be back!

Yelp
ORGANIC apples!! Apple Liquor! WARM apple cider donuts!! Hot sauce! They had me from all of those. We decided to pop in on the way home and everyone was so sweet and the place wasn't packed to the nines it was just lovely. We got to taste their apple "brandy-bourbon" and then got a tractor ride to the organic raised apples and were able to have a little picnic there. Was such a treat:. Looking forward to going back there again as they hosted us amazingly and the venue was stunning.

Yelp
7th generation family farm worth the drive a few minutes more from NYC. Wide selection of tasty apples, pumpkins, gourds, sunflowers, cider donuts, and even moonshine. Bounce house, hay ride, and picnic area for the family. Friendly owners and staff and, maybe best of all, NOT CROWDED. Best apple picking experience I've had in the area.

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to own an apple farm but it seems like a lot of work and you also live in New York City so it's impossible? Me too. But that's where Clarke's Family Farm comes in. It's like coming home to a family reunion and that's no exaggeration. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and the land is beautiful. It felt like we were the only ones there. Also, I'm sorry. I don't have time for pesticides and neither does Clarke's. Their organic and lightly sprayed apple varieties are amazing (honeycrisp, anyone?). I don't want to write a yelp review because I want it to remain one of the best kept secrets of upstate NY and yet, here we are.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at Clarke's! Great selection of organic & lightly sprayed apples. We also picked up some squash, pumpkins, fresh donuts, and cider. The family that runs the farm was so welcoming and friendly, we will definitely be back next year!

Yelp
Clarkes is an as-yet undiscovered gem - less than 2 hours from NYC - an old-fashioned feel to the place. We drove up through vivid fall colors, and upon arriving, were thrilled to learn that Clarkes has one section of their orchard that is organic, and another that is low-spray. We could have ridden the tractor, sitting on bales of hay, to get out to the organic section, but instead we decided to walk. We passed a corn-maze, and a pumpkin field, and found trees loaded with perfect, juicy apples. They had about 10 varieties, and every apple I tasted was sumptuous. The trip was well-worth the drive, and we will definitely return to Clarkes again!
