Clark's Point

Really loved the place and the hike, we also ended up going down the the trail towards the train tracks which obviously looked amazing from the top with the track going between the ocean. Would definitely recommend taking precautions if you decide to go down toward the ocean but also say that the danger is worth the views also there is a hidden cove where you can sit and enjoy the breathtaking views.

This spot is near a lot of homes and in a neighborhood, so there is no public parking. The lookout point is small and not too spacious, so be in mind that sharing is caring. There’s a ton of other areas to walk in the vicinity, so take your time and soak up the view! Sometimes locals who live nearby will block off the entrance, and will ask that you leave, so be prepared to leave. Long story short, this is a great little spot to hang out at and relax. Be respectful to the locals and leave no trace!

One of my favorite spots in Bellingham. I love coming here and setting up a hammock to read. It can get busy during sunset so if you want the sunset views come early on a nice weather day. Some days you get lucky and have it basically to yourself.

Clark's Point is absolutely gorgeous. It's only about a five minute walk from the road. Easy to follow trail with plenty of "NO TRESPASSING" signs from the friendly private land-owners on the adjacent properties. The point isn't giant, so if you're planning on doing bird watching it's best to go during the work week when it'll be less busy. Steep drop down to the water so I'd suggest not bringing a dog.

To find this place isn't easy. The trail is kind of hidden but we did find it. There is no parking near the trailhead, you park about 100 yards away before the first no parking sign. It has a nice view of the islands but it is a little scary if you have dogs because there are cliffs. Bring a leash. There are two trails a east and west. I am describing the West trail overlooking lummi island. The walk down to the water will take 10 to 15 minutes depending on your pace. There is not a lot of space at the point when you get to the water. There are signs limiting where you can go legally. It's a great place for sunsets and there's usually not many people there. Bring some cushions to sit on Clark's point is made out of sandstone.

Beautiful place. Parking is confusing, and I parked illegally (totally my fault). A man from the security group followed me down to the point and asked me to re-park, which I was willing to do as I was in the wrong, but then followed me back through the trail which was a bit strange as well as unnecessary. I felt a bit uneasy about the whole situation, I made it very clear I was sorry for parking incorrectly as well as the fact that I was leaving and he continued to follow and guilt trip me. The point is beautiful, wish I had a different experience, if you come here learn from my parking mistake. 🙂

The parking is strange. The residents don't want people parking by the trail, so one must park two blocks away. Also there are two observation points one on the west, the better views, and one on the east across the road. The trails are roughly the same length, fairly short, and not very strenuous.

Always a lovely spot. Super lowkey, nice walk, easy to access, and the air is always crisp and so fresh!! The perfect spot to catch a break and relax for a moment.
