Classic Hotel am Stetteneck

We had a great week at this Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our memories will always be of our holiday in the Dolomites and of how beautiful Ortisei is. The meals were terrific. Breakfast was delightful and the staff waiting on us for our coffee order were always beautiful and friendly. We also enjoyed all our dinners in the dining room ~ absolutely amazing and the quality was superb ~ every time!! Best 3-course meals anyone could wish for.|Our room was perfect, spacious and the bed was very comfortable.|The hotel is so central that we could walk to all things that we wanted to see.|Thank you to Stetteneck xxx

We loved most of the features of this hotel - the location is perfect, the rooms are clean and well designed, the breakfast is really wonderful, the entertainment on Sunday night was a nice touch, and all staff are so accommodating. Andrew at the front desk could not be more hospitable.|We stayed for four nights and would stay again yet not during summer. While we were given a fan after the first night, the lack of air con made sleeping really tough each night. We were on the top floor and the windows are small with little air movement. Also the Adler bar across the street plays music late but we had to keep windows open for air. These are not complaints but facts that affected our stay and that is why we would not stay at the hotel in the summer again although we'd certainly return in another season.

Our family of 8 plus a two year old enjoyed four wonderful nights. The restaurant staff is amazing and so accommodating. We really enjoyed having “our” table for each meal and the food is great. The room was quiet, comfortable and even in 80+ degree (Fahrenheit) heat we were able to enjoy a great night of sleep. I hate to recommend this hotel for fear it gets too popular but Hotel Am Stetteneck is truly wonderful.

Friendly staff, parking on site, spacious rooms, perfect location in heart of town, would highly recommend! No ac during day but cool at night, would stay here again. Great cocktails,|Views and vibes. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating and provide takeaway breakfast on a hiking day, we greatly appreciated it

I took a trip to Northern Italy for 10 days, and this hotel was the best among the ones I've stayed at. The design and the condition of the room, the food, the swimming pool, the sauna, the private parking lot, and even the accessibility to the cable car station. I enjoyed staying here, and I would like to recommend others to stay here if they are planning to visit Ortisei.

Lovely rooms. We had one with an amazing balcony, but the ones without are also nice. Breakfast was great and the rings come with local bus and tram access. It's cloudy to lifts, in a super part of town for shopping, eating, and fun. There is no ac, the heat is good, the showers are good, the spa is really quite good, albeit small, the beds are hard, the pillows are only a step above bad, but since we visited during early spring, we did not need ac, and even if it was hot it stuffy, an open balcony door solved all, and jet lag helped with bad bed comfort. Overall, excellent in spring when no ac is needed.

Front desk staff were indifferent and not hospitable. They were unhelpful in any regard with helping in bringing our luggage up the stairs. Requesting a parking spot required asking multiple questions on where and how to get to parking. The junior suite room is advertised as large enough to accommodate three people. The third person has to be someone younger than 12 years of age - not for an adult. The second "bedroom" is the size of a walk-in closet with a couch. All they did was remove the couch pillows and added a small mattress on top. It was not wide, nor long enough for an adult. When I raised my disappointment with the front desk and hotel manager, they simply stated that is the way the room is. Our room faced the pedestrian only road, however, since the hotel does not have air conditioning, the rooms were sweltering, but we could not keep the windows open due to the noise from the cafes and bars until 1:00 in the morning and then at 6:00 a.m. the supply trucks start driving by. Overall the place looks very nice, but it was a disappointment for me.

Excellent experience! Kindly staff and the best place ever, near of the hotspot at the storical center. Delicious and more than enough breakfast. The room is perfect cleaned, big and very comfortable! Also, the restaurant offer you a unique experience. ! I strongly recommend.

Wow, beautiful views right from our room. Very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and wonderful. One of the very best breakfast we had during our 20 days in Italy. We also had dinner at their dinning room the night we were there. There were only trout and lamb as choices for main dish. Trout was all right. However, the lamb was so good that I might have to say it was the very best I have ever had in my life. Love the staff, food, location and services here. Highly recommend to anyone coming this way.

I stayed here during a trip through Ortisei in the fall of 2009. This was a wonderful find and I would heartily recommend this hotel. It is located at the end of the main pedestrian street, Via Rezia, and is in close proximity to the TI and gondola to enter the Alpe di Suisi. The rooms were quite reasonably priced in the fall. We stayed on a Sunday evening, and it was a quiet town. Most restaurants were closed, so we were grateful that we chose half board. In sitting down for dinner, we knew we were in for a treat. It was a very cozy dining room with attentive service and wonderful food. The rooms were well-appointed, with a spacious, modern bathroom. The room had two small balconies off the room, which provided spectacular views of the Dolomites and Val Gardena. There was plenty of room for luggage and the beds were quite comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions that we had. Overall, this was a wonderful stop while traveling through Northern Italy.
