Classico Select Shop

Wonderful shop with well-designed, nicely cut shirts for men. The proportions are much better than what is available in the United States. Of special note: the sleeve cuff hits in the right spot, which is rarely achieved in clothes available in the U.S. The owner selects fabrics that are very soft and is a skilled maker. I have 2 shirts that were bought 5 years ago (still in great shape), and just bought 3 new pieces. I look forward to hitting this shop every time I'm in Japan!

Arrived and was delighted by the look and feel of the place. Went inside and saw lots of things I really liked but left soon after as there a definite vibe of both being unwelcome and watched suspiciously. Pity, I would have definitely bought a few things otherwise.

A quaint little store in the suburbs of Taito. It's a quick walk from Sendagi station. I went in to find the Shoes Like Pottery shoes, and found them without issue. The attendant spoke English was helped me promptly. He helped me with the shoe size conversion and allowed me to take a few steps in them to find the right size. The store prefers cash, but card is accepted. Go to classico for rare and aesthetic knick-knacks, shoes, and clothes.

Neat little shop. The owner was super friendly and helped me find a great shirt.

オーナーこだわりの上質な衣類が揃ってます 衣類だけでなく小物や雑貨も色々あって楽しいです

確かに緊張感のあるお店です。お洒落な方のワードローブに忍び込むような感覚が、いつもあります。 おそるおそる伺っては、知らなかった素敵なブランドの服、いつの間にか自分に寄り添うデニム、全部このお店から譲っていただきました。雑貨もいいです。すごく良心的なセールもして下さいます。財布が常に寂しい私にはありがたい。 オーナーは筋の通った素敵な人物です。強面ですが、服が似合う似合わないを含め、まずおべっかを仰いません。ただただかっこいい。一度だけ服を褒められたのは嬉しかった...。 セレクトはカジュアルよりですが、オーナーの気構えでしょう、お店の中は常に整然としています。それがオーナーらしいなと思います。洋服への愛を感じるブログも必見です。 素敵な服とオーナーの生き様がみっちり詰まったお店には、常に敬服と畏怖の混じった感情で伺っています。 いやだって私、お洒落じゃないんですって。だからなんか場違いだなって気後れするんですわ。ごめんねオーナー、あんまり着こなせてなくて。でも、あの服もあの服もあのオブジェも、大好きです、ありがとう。

谷中のヘビ道から少し歩いたところにある生活雑貨や衣料品などを扱っているお店です。店内には、服、靴、タオルや小物など、日々の暮らしに寄り添う品々が並んでいます。どの品々もセンスがよく、一つ一つの商品についても、使用している素材やデザインこだわりが感じられ、長年使うたびに愛着が湧いてくるようなものばかりです。また店員さんも親切で丁寧に対応してくれました。谷中散策の際には、ぜひ立ち寄ってみてください。もしかしたら心地よい暮らしのヒントが見つかるかもしれません。
