Classik Hotel Antonius, Köln

The hotel is conveniently to public transport and the cathedral as well as other sites. There are restaurants and shop within a few minutes walk. The hotel is very welcoming, staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. I would highly recommend the hotel for exploring Koln but also for exploring the wider area, due to the proximity to the central train station we also visited Bonn and Dusseldorf.

Great hotel in quiet street very close to Koln Hbf.|The triple room overlooking a quiet courtyard was fantastic: two separate bedrooms (not the one room with a double and a sofa bed typical in many other hotels). The coffee pod machine was a nice touch.|Buffet breakfast was varied, substantial and tasty. The standalone restaurant, run by a Michel star chef looked very interesting (but we didn't eat there).|E-mails from the hotel about after hours automatic check in was welcome and clear.

Single room, on the 5th floor, which is only reachable by a fly of stairs.! If you aren't mobile enough or can't carry the luggage tell upfront or contact hotelSingle room perfect for a one night stay. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and surprisingly good pillows, which made for a great night’s sleep. The furniture and lighting were beautifully chosen and added a very elegant atmosphere to the space. The restaurant was excellent – especially the breakfast, which was truly exceptional. A real highlight of our stay. The hotel is located close to the central station, which is very convenient, yet the area itself is peaceful and quiet. It’s also situated in a historic building, which gives it a unique and charming character. Highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again.

The service is top. I booked through an agent (not directly) and there appeared to be some problem with my booking, which was shown as cancelled in the hotel's system although I have paid to the agent in advance. Despite that, the hotel offered me a room and even with an upgraded category (for free!). The room is also very nice and is equipped with a kitchen which comes with a plenty of kitchenware.

Slightly can't understand the great reviews of this hotel. It has quite a spartan functional feel. Rooms are large but functional with quite hard beds which for doubles are two mattresses with two duvets so may as well be twins. Think for a hotel of this price/grade you'd expect a nice lounge/sitting area. Also we were hoping for a quick drink in the bar after a night out but were told we could but a drink but weren't allowed to stay in the bar area (restaurant), so had to sit in reception. Breakfast was ok but really for the price paid having to scramble just to get a croissant in the morning if you're not there early seems crazy and penny pinching. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

I love this hotel! The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and funny. To be honest, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel in such a great location. I plan on staying here again on my next visit.

The deluxe rooms are very spacious and were very clean. The mirror right opposite the toilet is a bit odd and would have preferred the tea bags to be replenished when the room was made up (every other day). The car park is not far and we were given the entry key card and a sign to leave in our car. It felt very secure. Die loading/unloading the car we parked in the road. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. There wasn’t enough room on the restaurant but the tables outside weren’t laid out so we had to do that ourselves. The food was labelled on one of the days but not the other two days and as there were different dishes it was impossible to tell what the vegan and vegetarian options were. The lift makes noises as if it is on its last leg but apparently engineers were called and not found an issue. Location is great for non touristy bars, cafes and restaurants. The bed was really comfortable and air con worked well and was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.
