It was a real pleasure to arrive in Myanmar and be driven to Classique Inn to start our holiday. It is an 11-room boutique hotel, owned by a Myanmese family. I was so pleased to know our money was going into the local community. Our room was quite small but comfortable. Very comfy beds and a bathroom with good shower, good hot water supply and very good and quiet AC if you needed it. The whole place was spotlessly clean and, being in the diplomatic district, leafy green and very quiet. If you want to be in the centre of downtown, this is not the place for you.||We had a good breakfast in the outside, shady eating area. We had arrived quite late the evening before and were too tired to go out, so the hotel offered their menu and suggested two light, local dishes - tea leaf salad and lentil soup. Both delicious and just fitted the bill.||A very nice stay and I would certainly go back there if I was in Yangon again.

We stayed in their room with a kitchenette and it felt very spacious and the decor and appointments are lovely. Their breakfasts are tasty and abundant, coffee is good and service great. The outdoor patio is beautiful, cool and airy. The family owners are sweet and attentive and allowed us to offer meal dana to the monks in the morning, a part of Buddhist life that is not to be missed. It was so nice to come back to our cool, quiet and pleasantly air conditioned room after sightseeing in busy, noisy Yangon. We couldn't believe how quiet the neighborhood is of this sweet inn. Even though it is a quiet residential neighborhood, it is nearby a marketplace and restaurants. We recommend Sharky's an organic place with a great menu about 7 minutes walk. We highly recommend the Classique Inn as an authentic, comfortable place in Yangon, a real gem!

Several years ago, when we were organising our second trip to Burma/Myanmar, we looked for somewhere smaller and quieter to stay than the 'grand' hotels of our first trip. My wife found the Classique in Tripadvisor and thought that it was more 'us'. How right she was. We have since stayed there on four more trips at the beginning and end of our travelling around the country and sometimes in the middle too. It is quiet and doesn't have all the facilities of the larger hotels, but it has become our haven of peace and tranquility whilst staying in Yangon. For example, on this trip, there cannot have been many other places in Yangon, where you woke up to the call of the Asian Koel and the repetitive tonk of the Coppersmith Barbet. Thanks to its location and the care of Kalya Aye and her staff, we feel a great sense of relief and contentment when we come up the drive. Lush vegetation surrounds you when you sit on the terrace eating breakfast (try the delicious Burmese options), or enjoying a cold Myanmar beer. There are also more restaurants now within walking distance than when we first stayed. Some people may consider it dark and 'old-fashioned', but we happen to like teak furniture and decorations. Wifi is now working throughout. We will definitely return when back in Yangon.

We stayed here for 2 nights when we arrived into Yangon. It's located in a upmarket part of town with large homes and the Embassies and its walking distance from the Shwedagon Pagoda. The rooms are nicely decorated and they have good air con and the shower was hot and powerful. Being family run the staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was either local or continental. At night time it was very quiet so good night sleep is guaranteed. The hotels is quite a distance from the south part of town and Yangon is very busy traffic wise so getting here takes time, on the whole a taxi is required, but they are cheap! ||On arrival into Yangon we booked a taxi through the hotel for $30, the driver got lost, a taxi from airport is 8000 kyats so make sure you do this option.

We stayed at the Classique Inn twice, at the start and end of our trip, and found it to be the perfect environment for a relaxing and friendly stay. The hotel has oodles of character in a traditional colonial house. Unlike the frenetic pace of Yangon, it is a haven of calm in a lovely area. We had fresh delicious breakfasts every day, and felt that we were welcome guests in someone's beautiful home rather than simply hotel guests. We would certainly want to return there if we ever came back to Yangon

Stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The staff are friendly and super helpful. We were presented with a drink upon arrival and shown to our rooms. The beds were comfy with a little wardrobe to store my things. The breakfast was out in the garden when not raining and inside when it was. They offer a western choice as well as the local breakfasts- the Authentic Burmese breakfast (so I was told!), Ohn-no khao swe= coconut milk, noodles and burmese chicken soup was sooooo yummy! There were mosquitoes in the garden but the staff were efficient in bringing me a coil without me asking. The hotel itself is tucked down a little side road, but within walking distance of a local shop and some restaurants. The taxi drivers aren't entirely sure where it is yet, but the hotel gave us a card with the address in English and Burmese so they were able to work it out. Overall I would love to stay here again!

We are a family of 3 and we really enjoyed our 5 days here. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The inn is out of the city centre but still a very short, inexpensive taxi ride into to the centre. It felt peaceful to be in their garden restaurant setting and enjoyed walks in the neighbourhood. The room was clean and spacious and all we needed with our young daughter. We highly recommend it for small families and couples.

Had a comfortable room with an outside area. However my bathroom was accessed through a porch like area which would have been the original landing & I was unable to lock this area when I went out. Outside breakfast area was pleasant. Quiet location but if I was to return I would rather stay more central in the Old Colonial Quarter. However taxis in Yangon are cheap but traffic can be a problem. Approx mid way between the airport & Old Colonial Quarter.
