As soon as you walk in here, it just feels like it's going to be great experience! Has that old pub vibe with the early 1900s ambiance and lots of antique signs and furniture. This restaurant did not disappoint.
To start out, they bring over complimentary bread. The bread was hot and fresh! Very addicting, you could get full on the bread alone if you're not careful. As an appetizer, we had the got crab dip which was delicious. Great for sharing with a large group, and the toasted flatbread was crispy and terrific for dipping. For my main entree, I had the mahi mahi which was topped with pineapple salsa over mashed potatoes, green beans, and carrots. Mahi Mahi was flavorful and cooked just right. The pineapple salsa was a nice complimentary sauce, and the sides were wonderful.
Our service was pretty good. Had to remind the waitress about a second round of bread, but not the end of the world. She smiled, and seemed that she cared about her job. Smiling on the job sounds like something very simple, but it goes a long way in making the dining experience much better.
If you are in Beaufort, I highly recommend dining here and going for a walk by the water afterwards. Great food, delightful service, and an old school environment!
