Love coming here! The staff are always so helpful and friendly. We had Katie assisting us yesterday - she was absolutely lovely and full of great ideas. She made the experience so enjoyable that we’re already looking forward to coming back again soon. Thanks so much for your help, Katie! (And the photos)

Great, good, relaxing fun for an hour or two. Nice selection of items, but the prices have gone up SO much. I painted a fish last time for about £15. This time the same fish was £22. It took me a long time to choose as everything I liked ended up being £20-£30. Shame we couldn't afford the same experience as the first time, but the staff are lovely and the experience is great fun. I would prefer an entrance fee and then charge less for the items.

Took my children here and they absolutely loved it my son painted a shark and my daughter painted a mug, the website does state that items start at £5 but to be honest they are so small they are not worth doing, I didn’t partake as was trying to keep the cost down due to being a single parent but my children had a blast and were looking forward to seeing the finished result which I could collect the following week. Will definitely take them back again I may even go with friends too as it’s great for all ages

Cannot recommend more for anyone who likes painting/crafts. Staff are lovel and the price is fair. You have 2 hours to paint your object. If you make a mistake they help you fix it. Takes about 1-2 weeks for it be fired in the kilns. Love it here

I took my 8yr old daughter here on 27 August 2022. We decorated a mermaid, lighthouse and a plate. The staff are so lovely and friendly. I explained we needed the pottery quickly as we were going back to Japan and they made sure it was ready within a few days. Such a wonderfully relaxing experience, great value for money.

I came here with my friends for one of their birthdays. We had booked it in advance, but we went there with two extra people, knowing that if it was too busy two of us would’ve been happy to leave. However, as soon as we walked in and confirmed our booking the lady who worked there raised her voice at us and spoken in a condescending manner bare in mind the shop was half empty and remained half empty for all our session. We did not even get to speak instead we were shouted at in our faces which was very unprofessional; some of us would’ve happily left if she had spoken to us in a kinder way. It was a shame because we came for our friend’s birthday and that horrible interaction threw us off a lot at the start. Even whilst we were picking out what we wanted to paint she was telling us to hurry up which again was very rude. The actual painting was very fun but the interactions we had with that lady was awful. I also noticed that she allowed another group to come in with an extra person but did not raise her voice at them at all. This made us feel even worse as it felt quite personal and it made us feel very out of place. We were coming to the end of our two hour slot with 15/20 minutes to go but she came over and spoke to us in a rude tone saying we need to leave so other people can come in. However, when she spoke to the other group she apologised to them for hassling them to leave and overall treated them in a kind manner. The difference in the way she treated a different group of people to us was apparent and it was very upsetting. It’s a shame because the actual pottery painting was so fun and peaceful however I would not come back purely due to the way we were treated and spoken to.

My daughter wanted to do this for her 18th birthday and not going to lie was a bit dubious as her sister and I are not very creative. Had a fantastic two hours, staff are lovely, fantastic selection of items to paint very reasonable priced activity. We will definitely be booking again!!

Was a nice experience during the painting, afterwards when I came to collect it my partner's car piece was chipped on the front and they had rubbed of parts of the paint on the tires on the side. My piece was in perfect condition, my partners was not, real shame for a seemingly good experience.

Yelp
This is a very friendly, pottery painting shop in the Barbican area. Very helpful and full of tips for getting the most from children's art work. They also have grown-up painting evenings - ladies nights - where you can go along - take a bottle of wine and paint in peace. Very relaxing. Also birthday parties and kids clubs during the holidays. There are quite a few of these places arounf but this is one of the best that I have been to and well worth a visit either with children or without.
