A very nice, new hotel, a short walk from Tower Hill, and a few steps from Aldgate East Station. This area has transformed over recent years, and it's very accessible, with plenty of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. |The hotel room was nicely decorated, with a VERY comfortable matress. Plenty of refreshments in the room, and a good shower. The breakfast was great value for money: a self-service buffet with lots of hot/cold choices. |The special part of this hotel is the staff. At check in and check out, the reception staff were wonderfully charming. They made us feel relaxed, and all staff (including the restaurant staff) have been well-trained to smile and make the guests feel welcome. This can be quite unusual in London, and it was very nice to see that this important matter had not been overlooked. Congratulations to the management. My only regret is that I did not have my glasses on to read the name badges so that I could call out the special people. I got the impression that all staff would have been trained to a similar level though.

The worst service! They were uninterested and rude. The rooms were nice and the bed comfy! And location great cause next to the tube station. This is our 4th visit to London in the last 2 years and this was one of the most uninterested staff/service we have ever had! We are from Australia so we are use to friendly service and this was shocking! We had a terrible experience and couldn’t wait to leave to this place and move onto our next hotel the May fair Radisson. Also the breakfast don’t bother. Big spread but not a single item was tasty. It was bland and inedible. Again the staff completely don’t care

Myself and my sister recently stayed in the City of London Clayton Hotel. I would highly recommend it for a number of reasons, it's central location being high on the list, it is right beside the tube station and very easy to navigate. The comfortable room, and the quality breakfast a| shout out and thank you to the chef and staff, nothing was too much trouble. Last but by no means least is a special thank you to Raj and Kamil. Our flight was unexpectantly canceled and both Raj and Kamil were so professional and proficient in dealing with the situation they swiftly booked us in for the extra night and reduced our stress with a smile and great customer service. It was much appreciated. |Warm regards,|Brenda & Orla

The reception staff, in particular Raj, were very helpful and let us check into the room earlier when we asked to leave our bags. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was an excellent buffet with everything you could wish for and more. The staff were helpful and would get fresh fried or poached eggs. Also got me a fresh flat white one morning when the coffee machine was turning out tepid coffee. The hotel is just a couple of minutes from the nearest tube and there are a few decent cafes and restaurants nearby. Points for improvement: One side of the bed was a bit close to the wardrobe, but there was enough room in the room, including a small desk and a couple of chairs. The bathroom lighting was a bit dark. These are just small points and didn't detract from an overall excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Clayton Hotel City of London. The location is perfect — just a short walk from Aldgate East station, making it very easy to get around the city. The room was spotless, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing night.||The staff were welcoming and helpful from check-in to check-out, always polite and ready to answer questions. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options, and the restaurant had a warm atmosphere.||Overall, this hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting London — whether for business or leisure. I’d definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at Clayton and thank you to the Great service of Hafiz in the breakfast room. Only the Maintenance, I had requested the Team to fix the toilet seat multiple times but nobody came. Hafiz, made it extra special. Thank you for a Great time. Also please get your Gym staff to clean properly, they seem to take the hour to play on their phones and relax.

The hotel is very well connected to public transport (underground and bus) and is generally very clean. The rooms are sufficiently large and comfortable for a city trip, although the double beds could be a bit wider. Breakfast was very tasty, and side orders were also fulfilled.
