I stayed at the Clayton Hotel Galway for one week and unfortunately my experience was disappointing.
There were several issues with the room 457 throughout my stay. The shower took approximately 10 minutes for the water to get hot every time I used it, and the water pressure was very weak as the shower head seemed partially broken. Additionally, the bathroom floor felt unstable, as if some of the tiles were loose.
On the second day, after housekeeping serviced the room, the bed was left unmade, which was quite surprising and disappointing. I also left empty bottles in the room to return them for the deposit refund, (they were clearly not placed near the trash) yet they were removed during cleaning.
There were other inconveniences as well. The TV remote control did not work and I had to request a replacement. When the replacement was delivered, the staff member entered my room and had a very strong smell of cigarette, which lingered in the room afterwards. Since the balconies are connected and I could not leave the window open without also leaving the balcony door open, I was unable to properly ventilate the room. On another occasion, milk was not replenished and I had to call reception to request it.
Overall, I did not enjoy my stay. The number of small but recurring issues made the experience frustrating and below expectations.
