Clayton Hotel Leeds

From the moment we arrived, the hotel made a welcoming and professional first impression. The check-in process was well organised, and the overall approach to guest care was clear from the outset. My daughter immediately felt comfortable, which speaks to the friendly atmosphere the hotel aims to create. Although we encountered a system issue during check-in, it was handled efficiently and smoothly, demonstrating the hotel’s strong operational standards and commitment to guest satisfaction. Later, when we experienced difficulty accessing the lift to reach our room, the issue was resolved promptly and professionally, reinforcing confidence in the hotel’s ability to support guests when needed. One area that could benefit from improvement is the reception space itself. While functional, it feels quite open and minimal, and an upgrade could greatly enhance the overall arrival experience. Introducing elements such as comfortable seating, warm ambient lighting, and tasteful floral arrangements would help create a more inviting and relaxing environment, rather than simply an open space with a desk. Overall, the hotel delivers a professional and reassuring experience, and with a few thoughtful enhancements to the reception area, the arrival experience could be elevated even further. We would certainly consider returning in the future. If you’d like this softened further, or adjusted to sound more luxury, casual, or formal feedback-style, I’m happy to refine it.

Hotel was amazing. We arrived early and are room was ready so we could check in. The staff were helpful polite. Paiton on the front desk was exceptional nothing was to much trouble she recommended the restaurant in the hoteland told us there was 15% off with are room card. She wasn't wrong food was beautiful. The room was spotless, beds comfortable. Don't have anything bad to say. Would recommended this hotel and will return.

My family stayed at this lovely hotel during a recent visit to Leeds to see the pantomime at the Heritage Theatre, the hotel is in an ideal location and we could easily walk to the theatre and restaurants all situated within 15 minutes. The rooms were well set out and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast in the morning before checking out. The pantomime is an annual family trip, we have stayed at other hotels in previous years but will opt to stay at this hotel for our pantomime trip at the end of this year.

Really nice stay. £100 for the executive room and it’s well worth it for a quiet sleep and a gigantic comfortable bed. Normally really bothered by other guests being noisy when staying in a hotel but we didn’t notice that here must have good sound proofing. Breakfast is nice and has all things you would expect, full English options, cereals, fruit, coffee etc. £5 taxi or 15 minute walk to the centre of Leeds.

The Clayton stands out as a hotel that know how to deliver customer service, their staff are outstanding. We had such a lovely overnight stay, we were welcomed on arrival and treated to complimentary drinks because I mentioned I was meeting friends for my birthday, a lovely touch. The staff in the bar and at breakfast were just lovely, welcoming and happy to answer any questions. |The room was warm and clean and well equipped- the bed and bedding were very comfy (I’m very fussy about bed!). There was a lovely atmosphere all around the hotel. |Thank you so much l, we will definitely come back.

I was in room 139 which was spacious and clean and the WiFi was good. Unfortunately all the sockets were on the opposite side of the room to the bed and my room was overlooked by a glass stairwell so anyone passing could look straight in. A net curtain would have helped. It would also have been nice if the room had come with a small fridge. Otherwise it’s fine for somewhere to put your head down for a night if you’re not looking for any frills.

Haven't stayed in a bedroom here but had a great works Xmas do last Friday. Food was lovely and service was friendly. The DJ additionally played some very good music. Free parking after 18:00 round the corner on Sweet Street which feels safe enough especially as I have an older vehicle. Those who stayed over reported a positive experience with the rooms, the blackout curtains being a godsend on Saturday morning.

We held our company AGM at the Clayton Hotel, Leeds and we cannot praise this hotel enough. Tristan and the team were amazing; they went above and beyond to make our event so memorable. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, quiet, immaculately clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Plenty of hot food, fruit, yoghurts, fresh pastries and drinks on tap. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

They dont let you bring guests into the room... there was a bug in our bed and the staff was rude.

Not worth the unrest, doors slamming all evening and night. Not all rooms are updated, my room 244 was filthy and furniture stained & sticky. Good looking blond front desk gentleman was rude and uncaring. A very disappointing 3 night sleepless stay due to all the constant noise.
