Clayton Hotel Leeds

The Clayton stands out as a hotel that know how to deliver customer service, their staff are outstanding. We had such a lovely overnight stay, we were welcomed on arrival and treated to complimentary drinks because I mentioned I was meeting friends for my birthday, a lovely touch. The staff in the bar and at breakfast were just lovely, welcoming and happy to answer any questions. |The room was warm and clean and well equipped- the bed and bedding were very comfy (I’m very fussy about bed!). There was a lovely atmosphere all around the hotel. |Thank you so much l, we will definitely come back.

The parking was reasonable given the location. The check in / out procedure online was effortless. The room was clean, had great views & was a good size. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the food was of a good standard. (Especially given the offer price) The only think we didn't like was ordering off a paper menu at the bar as this cheapened the experience however it is a minor detail. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and approachable throughout our stay offering to take our photo 📸 Nice lamps in bar area 👌

Excellent hotel and the friendliest staff I’ve ever met! After moving away from Leeds a few years ago, I always stay here when visiting and I don’t have a bad word to say. The lady who checked me in (I didn’t catch her name), remembered me from over a year ago when I last visited - she’s a credit to your hotel! ||I also dined here both nights during my stay by ordering room service which arrived in good time and the food was excellent. ||Couldn’t recommend this hotel more, it’s by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in the UK.

I stayed here midweek on a business trip and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent around a 10-minute walk to the city centre, and the on-site parking is both convenient and easy to access. The staff were welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. I required a few documents to be printed, and they assisted straight away with no hassle, which was greatly appreciated. The gym is adequately equipped for a city hotel,offering everything needed for a cardio or resistance session. My room was clean, comfortable, and provided all the essentials, including an ironing board, toiletries, and tea and coffee facilities. The double bed wasn’t particularly large, but it was comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Overall, a reliable and well-managed hotel that delivers on service, comfort, and convenience. A great option for business travellers and anyone visiting Leeds for a short stay.

Good stay, very comfy bed. Easy walk from station. Lift renovation project did impact timing (of group meet ups particularly) but was well signposted. Staff all professional friendly and helpful. Used bar, breakfast in restaurant, reception and room. Bathroom was clean but has some cracked tiles that need to be on a maintenance schedule, and would have benefited from a small towel in addition to the single bath sheet. No obvious gluten free options for breakfast toast / crumpets. Took a while for taxi to find entrance perhaps a bit of comms to local companies?? Would stay again.

We stayed one night, there for a gig. 3 of us in separate rooms. A delight to see a handle in the walk-in shower. I will never understand why every hotel doesn't do this. It's such an obvious, unobtrusive safety measure. But the floor in the shower is very slippery and the water manages to hit the floor. At first sight, the shower looked deep, but it didn't quite contain all the water. The room was spacious, clean, tidy, well-fitted and completely acceptable. It's a standard corporate chain hotel, so if you're looking for a lavish view, this isn't the right choice for you. The breakfast was okay, but it was heaving, and we had to wait for a table. T want a major problem, though perhaps some advice on this would have helped. I can't comment on the parking or the public toilets. We used the bar late at night after returning, and it was fine. Service throughout was friendly, polite, efficient and courteous. On Saturdays, breakfast is served until 11, and checkout is by noon.

Good location, just outside all hassle. Rooms look clean but showers have never been clean above head level, top tiles are very dirty. Bedding had some marks that did not come out in the wash obviously. Uncomfortable pillows. Restaurant area is lovely, nice bar but food is 2 out of 5. Overall ok

Beautiful hotel. Very helpful friendly staff. Rooms were immaculate. Bar was clean and staff lovely in there. Loads of tables. Breakfast was fabulous. Everything available. Still hot when we got down and we were late down. Easy check out. Fabulous hotel and will definitely book Clayton again. Staff in other Clayton’s have a lot to live up to as LEEDS was excellent.

They dont let you bring guests into the room... there was a bug in our bed and the staff was rude.

Not worth the unrest, doors slamming all evening and night. Not all rooms are updated, my room 244 was filthy and furniture stained & sticky. Good looking blond front desk gentleman was rude and uncaring. A very disappointing 3 night sleepless stay due to all the constant noise.
