We arrived at the hotel & took the lift from the car park directly to reception…I think the most convenient parking I’ve ever experienced. A good start! |The hotel lobby has a classic, yet modern, vibe & feels impressive; a warm welcome met us at the desk, along with a speedy & informative check in. |Our room was on the 8th floor & our view over the city was amazing (even the view from the corridor as we stepped out of the lift was incredible!). The corridors were super clean & our room was spotless. All of the little extras were catered for, including coffee machine, biscuits, various teas, water in the mini fridge & luxurious body wash/shampoo. |We had planned to go out for dinner elsewhere but needed a snack beforehand as we were heading out later than we’re used to, so we headed down to the bar & grabbed a couple of drinks along with a bowl of nachos. Now, I know nachos aren’t necessarily the most exciting dish but they were simply the best nachos we’ve ever had (available with beef chilli topping too which I’m sure is amazing)! The bar had a great atmosphere & the staff were brilliant, especially considering it was a busy night. |We took an uber from the hotel (which took a minute to arrive) into Leeds & enjoyed our meal before returning to the hotel for one last drink in the bar, which feels super cosy in the booths later at night. |We had a great nights’ sleep on a comfortable (huge) mattress & decided to go for breakfast in the morning. The selection for breakfast was fantastic, including cereal, pastries, everything you could ever imagine for cooked breakfast (try the potatoes, they’re so yummy!), fruit, meats/cheese, the list goes on! My boyfriend is fussy about breakfast sausages & he said Clayton had the best! There also appeared to be a ‘free from’ type area & vegetarian options. |We can’t wait to return!
