Clearwater Beach, on the eastern end of the island, has clear, shallow water and a 36-acre public park with restrooms and a playground. Picnic facilities, shade trees, and gentle water make Shelly Bay a good choice for the smallest of surfers, swimmers, and shell seekers. Horseshoe Bay Beach has lifeguards, showers, restrooms, and a nearby café. John Smith’s Bay, Elbow Beach, and Somerset Long Bay are more great beaches for families with kids."

I can remember this beach as the clearest of the beaches of the naval air station Bermuda... while this was still a great place, the chiefs beach next door was the best... but that could be understandable due to the supply chief that arrived on the island.... Sr. Chief Smith transformed this base... He also closed this base down as well... after a meeting with the CO of the base as it was closing he was given ranking that above O-3s that couldn't tell the ass from their elbow...

Looking forward to getting back here when it’s nice and sunny. We managed to avoid a direct hit from hurricane Adalia. We took a photo of the best personal float on water. 👉 @floatnthang Perhaps we can hit the beach on Sunday or Monday for some fun float’n 👍

Quiet, beautiful gem of a beach. Right next to a nature preserve where you can take a walk. Ideal strategy to get away from the crowds.

My absolute favourite beach in Bermuda. The water is the calmest in the island. We saw turtles swimming near the shore. If you walk past the gates through the park, there are other calm beaches there too. Highly recommend for clear calm water and beautiful sand. There were no rocks or seaweed!
