Visited Clementine on a Friday night, and despite it being quite busy, we were seated relatively quickly. While waiting for our table, we ordered drinks at the bar, and right from the start, the cocktails were phenomenal—beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced. Once seated, we continued with a glass of champagne and another expertly mixed drink, both of which exceeded expectations. We also ordered a dozen oysters, and they were incredibly fresh—an absolute delight. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for an elevated cocktail experience. If you're looking for a refined yet welcoming cocktail bar in Edmonton, Clementine is a must-visit. Highly recommend for great drinks, fresh seafood, and top-tier service.

Fabulous unique cocktails in a romantic, wood decor. Music was great, not too loud to enable a conversation. Service staff were friendly and patiently explained the cocktails. I loved the cantaloupe flavored Natsumi cocktail. They made a custom rum old fashioned for my partner. The Patagonia cocktail made with Patagonia trakal was great.

With new bars and restaurants always opening I think it can be easy to forget to acknowledge the ones who have been killing it daily for an over decade. And Bar Clementine truly never disappoints. Me and a couple friends were hopping around the city for cocktails and snacks, and Clementine was hands down the favourite. Our server was so much fun, the drinks were perfect and the food really hit. We had an absolute blast. So just a big thank you for continuing to stand above the rest and take to heart what hospitality is all about.

We stopped by for a quick drink before our dinner reservation and were thoroughly impressed. Since it was a Wednesday evening, the bar was relatively quiet, which gave us the chance to chat with the bartender. He was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through the cocktail menu, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our personal preferences. We originally planned to have just one drink, but the cocktails were so expertly crafted that we ended up ordering a second round. We tried the Los Danzantes, Patagonia, Sunomono, and Umeboshi, each one beautifully balanced, visually stunning, and aromatic. I'm not a cocktail expert, but every drink was a sensory experience. The Sunomono, in particular, stood out; its aroma immediately transported me back to my childhood summers when my (Japanese) mother would prepare sunomono at home. It was nostalgic and made me a bit giddy. 😊 The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and full of character, perfect for a relaxing evening. My only regret is not visiting sooner. We’re already looking forward to returning and exploring more of their creative and refined cocktail menu.

Cozy vibe, delicious food, amazing cocktails, their (Martinis were 10/10)and friendly service. We had the beef tartare — it was tasty, though I do wish it came with bread instead of Lay’s chips. That said, the overall experience was still great! Definitely a spot I’d return to.

My husband and I had quite a pleasant evening at Clementines after coming across this gem whilst we were merely exploring the area; it has now become a favourite of ours. We enjoyed a variety of cocktails and shots at the bar, ordered the Charcuterie board, and, watching our bartender work his magic was the cherry on top. We look forward to returning.

The atmosphere and food/drinks they serve are really aesthetically pleasing, but I didn’t think the food or the drinks were worth the price whatsoever. Most of us ordered mocktails and no matter which one we ordered, they all tasted like cough syrup. We had no complaints over the charcuterie board though, as each item on the board was delicious! That being said, their waiter was coughing quite a bit and I ended up getting covid over Christmas which was truly unfortunate (this was the only place I had gone to, as I had been working from home for 2 weeks prior to coming here). The waiter also was not the most friendly to us, but we assumed it was because they were ill and working. Personally I will not be coming here again, as I didn’t enjoy my overall experience.

Yelp
Met a date here last night for drinks and small bites. The space is really lovely-- small and intimate. It's dark but not too dark, and the music wasn't oppressively loud, which was very appreciated. The bar is GORGEOUS, and the the decor is understated and tasteful. We arrived for happy hour right as they opened (from 5-6). He had an old-fashioned and a Manhattan, and proclaimed them good. I had a daiquiri and a glass of the sparkling wine (very dry, but good). They didn't tell me what kind. We also ordered the charcuterie board. Our waiter didn't know all the components, but made an effort to call out I think fennel salami. There was prosciutto, house-made pickles (yummy! Appear to me marinated in some sort of lemon brine), an orange fruit conserve, red cabbage that comes almost black (curious what the preparation is there), and various soft and hard cheeses and whole grain mustard. The bread served alongside was crusty outside, warm and delicious inside with lots of bubbly pockets to hold more mustard and conserve. As previously noted, this is definitely a splurge. Cocktails were $9 and up, and the charcuterie board was $29 (with no fu-fu rose shapes for your salami or anything), so make sure to plan accordingly! The service was attentive, and they even let me wait inside the vestibule until they officially opened, since it was a bit cold outside. Thanks, y'all! Will be back!

Yelp
If you're looking for a cocktail bar, this is the place to go! The ambiance was what you expect at an upscale cocktail bar but being laid back enough for a blue collar type/come as you are type of place. Staff was great to converse with. There was plenty of seating when we showed up. Glad we chose this place for our first trip to Edmonton of a wedding!

Yelp
This place is really a hit and miss. I am maybe judging a little harshly because it is one of the places that I feel elitist go to feel important. no doubt the cocktails are interesting and unique but everything else was between good and average. The place itself is cute. Small but with a beautiful bar and a great place to have an intimate date or to chit chat with friends. The service is what I had a HUGE issue with. Lost at least 2 stars there. Only two staff working the floor, one happened to be the bartender. He was so busy making drinks he was short for anyone he needed to attend to. So drinks took awhile, water took awhile, food took awhile, dessert took awhile, bill took awhile, and generally no "how is everything?". We generally had to flag him from the bar. If you are charging 15 bucks per cocktail, get another server to serve properly. I don't think it is good practice for the bartender to be also a server. Especially since on a Wednesday night the place was full of people drinking and he was the only one making the drinks. Super unprofessional. Food menu was fine, lots of appetizers to share but based on the quantity and quality of food, the price didn't match. The chef's board of meat and cheese was okay but not worth the money we spent on it....three average meats, two average cheeses and not so great preserves with a sad amount of bread for 28 bucks. This gets my goat. How much extra on your half to add a decent amount of crackers and condiments for what we are paying. Sorry, it isn't great splitting up 2 pieces of bread for three people. It would not cost much more to add more bread and perhaps some olives to the board. My favourite dish was the hummus but it was soooo skimpy on the bread. Disappointing. Salmon was good but pricey, and the pan con tomato was tasty but a bit soggy. Probably because it sat in the kitchen because there was NO ONE to serve the damn dish. For a birthday meal, it was disappointing. Go here for a cocktail if you are willing to wait. Mine was delicious once I got it. But either you need to increase the staff and quantity of food or decrease the price for me to come back.

Yelp
Decadent and divine. If you're looking for an upscale cocktail bar that still feels very approachable, you've come to the right place. Each of their cocktails is finessed and the presentation of your food (which is absolutely delicious), is equally impressive. Service may be a little slower, but the quality makes up for it.

Yelp
This place is beautifully and uniquely decorated. It is small but had a nice ambiance. I have been here twice and both times have just ordered drinks even though they have a full menu Of oysters, fish tapas etc and usually 3 desserts . The drinks are unique and usually delicious ( I had one that was just horrible) This time I got the AMAZON (Cachaca, Elderflower, Passionfruit, Lime, Avocado, Coconut Cream) and the SIMONE (Vodka, Rhubarb, Manzanilla Sherry, Lemon, Lavender) and they were delicious with a beautiful presentation. The noise level was alittle high ( normal) and the do have a small patio. I would recommend this place for drinks or for a romantic dinner.

Yelp
What an absolute delight! The decor is art decor with splash of hipster. We had fun here and propped up the bar for the time we were there. The bar man was busy making cocktails but when serving us would chat for a bit about the drinks he was making for us. The menu gives some cocktail highlights but at the end suggests just telling the bar man what you like and they'll make you something to suit your pallet. I got a really great Ardbeg sour that blew my head off and my mind. I had just been to Ardbeg Day the week before for some Ardbeg cocktails and this one was far superior. I was really impressed. We shared the pork and rye toast plate which was incredible flavours. They charged us $1 for extra toast which was a bit off but whatever. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

Yelp
First time at this place and I'll be back. Great selection of cocktails and spirits, and when we asked the mixologist to make us "something refreshing with mescal," they delivered. Intimate and warm atmosphere.

Yelp
Perfect for cocktails and delicious bites! Servers were fantastic. Each cocktail was unique. And the bar bites were scrumptious. Despite some negatives reviews we decided to judge for ourselves and it was absolutely perfect!! Only advice we have is to arrive early to make sure you get a seat.

Yelp
Clementine is a hip, trendy cocktail bar nestled in the Pearl Tower. It's right in between Ikki Izakaya (shocked this place is still alive) and Bru Coffee + Beer House. The word is out because they cracked Canada's 50 Best Bars list. The inside is small but cozy. We came on a Friday evening (around 7:30pm) and it was packed. Luckily, we didn't have to wait long and snagged a spot at the bar. Don't be surprised if you end up staying a couple hours and wondering where the time went. It's a time warp. Your bill will bring you back to reality. We were here for almost five hours but it didn't even feel long. There was constantly a line of people coming through but if you have the patience, you'll be rewarded. The menu is mostly drinks (cocktails, aperitifs, absinthe, digestifs, wines, beer and cider). There's a small food menu of aperitifs, plates and sweets. Note they have happy hour (5:00pm to 6:00pm) and are open Sunday's for brunch. Service is top notch but the kitchen is slow to bring out food. We sat at the bar and M has come here often so we got to have an interesting chat with the bartenders. Shout out to Evan; the man knows his drinks - Bourdy cremant ($13.00) - M started the night out with some bubbly. - Nikolaihof ($14.00) - she then asked Evan or a white recommendation. This went perfectly with our oysters. - Cornas ($22.00) - next up was a red recommendation. This one is from Southern France area. Went very well with the pork ribs. - Vesper ($14.00) - M hasn't had one of these in four years. Gin, vodka and kina lillet. So smooth. Tastes like water. - Negroni ($14.00) - last drink for M. - Shot ($7.00) - I lied. They ordered a couple shots before we left which tasted like mint and anise. One was perfect. Two unnecessary. - Hacienda ($14.00) - I tried one of their cocktails. Mezcal, lime, cinnamon, pineapple and Korean chili oil. The chili oil was an interesting element. Surprisingly, it worked nicely. - Muscadet ($10.00) - their cheapest glass on their menu. To quote M, it was very "quaffable". Couldn't sum it up better. - Courgette blossom tempura, aubergine & moromi ($10.00) - to quote M again, this is one of her favourite appetizers of ALL time. It's small (you only get four pieces) but dammmmmn, she's right. Whatever they add inside the tempura was amazing! There's a slight heat too that elevates it to the next level. - Effin' oysters ($18.00 for 6) - these come with a cress vinegar mignonette. Fresh as always from Effin' Rob. Believe these were dill oysters. Yum. - Broek Acres berkshire pork ($28.00) - we saw people on our left and right getting pork ribs so we had to order the same. Portion size was fantastic. The ribs were cooked just right and seasoned perfectly. The brocollini had a slightly charred, smoky flavour while the pickled broccoli and charred onion vinegar added a light, refreshing contrast to the dish. Pretty cool that a cocktail bar like this serves ribs! - Stuffed aveyron pancakes ($16.00) - white cheese, Paris ham, Swiss chard, clover and tonka bean honey. This dish was very Montreal-esque. Somehow, these sweet and savoury flavours all worked in harmony together. This is a fun spot to grab multiple drinks and eat too! I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
I planned a small birthday party for my girlfriend here. It was great. They were able to get us a table for about 8. The place is very small, so it was nice that they could accommodate us. They have a lot of alcohol and fancy cocktails. I think this is what they're known for. I was very sad though with the new cocktail menu because it didn't include their most delicious drink! The Cavendish. They were still able to make it for me, but that is my favourite cocktail in Edmonton. I hope that they are able to always make it. I had to laugh because we ordered shots. This place doesn't really do shots, but they did them for us. I believe they gave my girlfriend a mixture of vanilla Chartruse and bourbon. It was awesome and probably the fanciest shot she's ever had. Service is awesome, but slow. Thankfully the cocktails are worth it.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. As word had it this place definitely has cocktails on par. Sorry I can't remember the name but the cocktail I ordered was such an amazing combination of flavours. I do believe it had a Mexican name as the drink itself featured drops of chilli oil on top. It was just the right blend of sweetness and high quality liquor that left me wishes I had a DD. As for food think high quality small portions. You may be able to share some dishes as a couple but for the most part servings are definitely individual. The menu rotates frequently so don't expect to see the same dishes every time you visit. Of all the dishes I had pancakes were by far the best. The rabbit dish was oddly similar to a turkey dinner and my duck entree was overly salty and the duck was unfortunately chewy, possibly from being over cooked. My other friend also had the duck and she didn't find hers chewy at all. I guess I drew the short straw? To sum it up I'd say solid 5 for the cocktails, pricey but worth every penny. Food was sort of hit or miss. A roll of the dice. Wouldn't necessarily recommend.

Yelp
It's a beautifully decorated and designed little place with a vintage feel. When you walk in you feel like you've been transported in time, considering it is located in the new modern Pearl building. It is quiet cozy and small so perfect for dates or just a few friends. We shared the sourdough rye pancakes. They were so sooooo delicious! Sweet and savoury! Ham, cheese, honey, Swiss chard all complementing each other perfectly. Seriously would order again. Oh! We also ordered the oysters which were fresh and tasty too! They have a cocktail menu to select from which I ordered the Timber. It was not too sweet and had a nice smokiness to it. They also have an option on the menu get the bartenders to make you something completely unique, you just tell them what your in the mood for. I wanted bourbon, citrus and herbal and the bartender made me the most delicious cocktail. He explained everything in it. Seriously one of the best cocktails I've ever had . I've sat at the bar once and it's quite entertaining to watch the bartenders work their magic. They are also willing to answer any questions and are very engaging in conversations about their craft. Serving staff are also very knowledgeable and attentive. Ive had all fantastic experiences the few times I've been to Clementine.

Yelp
I am going to give this place a 5/5 because it truly was a 5 star experience. However I do think I should preface it by saying that this place is definitely a place to go for the occasional treat, and not really a place where frequenting it is justified. It is very expensive, so bear this in mind when you come here so you aren't surprised when your bill comes. That being said, it was lovely. The decor was really beautiful and they did a good job of decorating the space. It is a small place but I kind of like that about it. You know its going to be nice too because its located under the pearl, which I think is the best location for a place like this. They also take reservations which is nice because it was surprisingly busy. Ambiance was definitely a 10/10! We had 2 bottles of the 2004 Roija it was such a good wine. We also tried the No. 5 pitcher which was really delicious and served with rose petals on the side and lemon. I really liked both of those drinks. Service was really great and I always love when my water is filled! Sometimes servers forget to fill water but it really makes a difference to the night in my opinion, its nice to have the water being filled all the time! As well as this he was knowledgeable and helped us pick our wine and dinner because some of the menu items we didn't really know. I decided to have the Icelandic Cod and the Seabream Tartare. Both were amazing it took every ounce of my body to pretend like I was a classy woman and not scarf up my food instantly. I also tried a piece of the duck, which I didn't particularly like but thats my own problem because I am told it was good - I just hate duck. They didn't have port on the menu but they had a nice sherry to try at the end of dinner. Overall I really really really enjoyed my night here. I thought it was amazing. I think the price is worth it every once and a while for a special treat or a celebratory evening! It is definitely nice to treat yourself from time to time (although I treat myself a lot... so maybe its me that needs to slow down LOL). I wasn't really sure what they were playing in the bathroom but it sounded like propaganda hahaha just kidding. But I really have no idea.

Yelp
What a wonderful dinner visit to Clementine. Nestled at the edge of downtown close to the west end of Jasper Ave, Clementine is a 1920's inspired bar/restaurant with beautiful Art Deco-era decor. The sign of the restaurant, in particular is so gorgeous and just translates the theme of the restaurant so well. The menu itself is innovation and inspiring - crispy potato with pickled potato on top? So unexpected and delicious. The drinks menu, in particular, is phenomenal. Not only do they have an impressive selection of absinthe, they also have a very interested list of European imported beer and cider, and an extensive wine list (even orange wine!) The kitchen is so accommodating as well, we had many allergies and diet restrictions at our table (nuts, fruits, vegan, dairy-free) and they were able to meet every single one of our demands. The food is so well presented and delicious - in particular the duck with duck egg, and the sourdough pancakes. I wish they would have a bigger menu, however, the chef is so good with whipping up a few items off the menu to accommodate our needs. A few items on the menu were unavailable, which was disappointing, however I completely understand that they want to use what's fresh and available in the season and hence the unavailability. The service was great and the food was wonderful. What a delightful spot in the downtown Edmonton bar/dining scene. I wish we had a spot in Vancouver like this as it would fit so perfectly in Gastown. I will absolutely come back again to try the other cocktails on the menu. Highly recommended for an intimate dinner or a romantic date night spot.

Yelp
This has got to be my new favourite cocktail bar in Edmonton. I generally frequent woodwork, North 53 or Three Boars, but lately the lack of innovation on their drink menus has been a little tiresome. And along came Clementine! After one visit I can definitely say that the atmosphere is quiet and intimate, the decor is simple and elegant, and the drinks are outstanding and original. I can't recall what exact drinks I ordered but they were all fantastic. Props to the service as well, it was quick and friendly and the server was also very knowledgeable and shared insight in concerns to certain cocktails. I will definitely be coming back to order from their menu, but also off of it since they make some amazing classic cocktails!

Yelp
I loved Clementine so much I went back less than a month later, despite it being a lil' fancy (thus, pricey) for my usual routine. Both experiences were wonderful. First, let me tell you about all of the new and life changing drinks I discovered. Ask for a gin fizz - it's not on the menu, but ask for it. It tastes like those Rocket candies and the texture is super fun. Second, The Doctor is a delicious whiskey drink that comes with a tiny, vintage looking prescription attached - the note legitimately looks like it could have been from the prohibition era. The Sprout and Le Jardin were also both incredibly refreshing, crisp drinks. For food, you need the potatoes (I regret not taking a photo of them). The pickled potatoes in the mix taste like softer, better salt and vinegar chips and the mix of textures and flavours are perfect. The Brie (pictured) with berries also fantastic. Unfortunately I don't remember which main we tried (pork something or other), but it was cooked to perfection and, again, had some really unique and delicious flavour pairings I love the atmosphere too - cozy and intimate, with a bunch of really accommodating staff. Service was a little slow during peak time, but the quality completely made up for it. This is officially one of my new favourite spots in the city. Worth the price for sure.

Yelp
The decor, atmosphere is really cool. The food was decent although the menu was a little limited. What threw me off was the service which was terrible...very unfortunate!! Staff did not want to be there whatsoever and killed the mood and dinner...

Yelp
Two stars because the drinks were good but given its status as a top 10 restaurant in Canada, v disappointing. Kitchen is super slow so that we waited over 1 hour for meals to be served. Our appetizers - flatbread with mushrooms and cheese and Swiss chard w pork were OK - not great. The flatbread was artisanal and v good. The main course of glazed beef was so-so. Not Rge Rd quality. Monk Fish dish was done very well. Dishes did not come out together so that each diner was left watching the other finish their main course. Overall, does not meet the title of Top Ten.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing atmosphere here. It's bright, yet cozy, and the bar is on full display. It is a smaller space so I would recommend making a reservation if you are planning on coming here during peak weekend times. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the food here, but the drinks are amazing. Get the cocktails, you just gotta. The liquor is high quality and mixed expertly. You can order off the menu or you can get a Dealers Choice and just tell the bartender what kind of flavours you would like and they will whip something up. I couldn't tell you what kind of drinks that I got. But I asked for fruity, not overly booze forward, and refreshing, and they certainly delivered on that front. I haven't tried much of the food here, but I did get some appetizers that were pretty good. They did end up getting overshadowed by the cocktails.

Yelp
Well my darling Clementine, If you have been to the now defunct North 53 looking for dinner and were left looking for more food, you can probably spare yourself from trying this place...Incredible small space, not cozy exactly but certainly trendy. Approx a 28 seat joint that somehow landed on Air Canada's best new restaurants list last year. A restaurant this is not. Cocktail bar on steroids...indeed. The menu reads very interesting, unfortunately what you get doesn't exactly translate to what you think you have been reading. Extraordinarily small plates that read as entree type dishes that are very tasty but leave you wanting more. We started with some kind of mixed green salad with shaved apples, ash smoked goat cheese (chef is in love with goat cheese apparently) and a kind of soufflé bread patty. Pretty good not great the salad is basically iceberg lettuce with shaved apples...you get to pay 22 bucks for this btw. I had mussels with roasted shallots and herbs. It's a cold preparation of mussels which is fine and the first bit was delightful! Unfortunately it was on top of some kind of whey cheese concoction that was so extremely overpowering I couldn't finish the dish. It is such an mind boggling miss on a seafood dish that I can only wonder what the chef was thinking when putting it together. I mean I get that mussels have a nice meaty flavour but to light a strooooonnnnnggggg cheese flavour bomb into that dish makes no sense. Complete miss. The star of the night was a roasted squash appetizer with flax seed. Just amazing! I was sceptical going in but it delivered in a big way. Perfect roast, still had some chew..great job! So here's the final call about this place. If you need to wine/dine a client or you need a place to go on a first date for a drink. This place is great! Amazing service and cocktail menu. But much like 53, you can't really eat here and not have to go somewhere else after. I'm probably missing the point of the menu but it's super pretentious yet somehow feels one note (tons of cheese creations) I blinked and spent 120 bucks, which I expected...what I didn't expect was have to go out for dinner after.... Cheers Andy

Yelp
Clementine is a funky little cocktail spot on Jasper Ave. They have a great range of booze to work with when constructing their cocktails, I particularly like the custom design option from the menu. You simply tell the bar staff your favourite flavours and style and they'll come up with something tasty. Food wise they serve up a great selection of Canadiana themed gourmet. During our last visit we had a delicious pork and rye toast plate (which I sadly can't remember the name of!!) - it was honestly, so good. Service was fantastic. I loved the turn of the 20th century to roaring 20s style decor. All in all, a fantastic place to spend a few hours.

Yelp
Absolutely love this cute little cocktail bar. We came here on a Saturday night after my friends birthday dinner and the place came highly recommended by others. It's a smaller place, more intimate but wonderful since you can hear your company. In addition, they have some tasty cocktails and also some pretty good food as well. My friends I just really loved the atmosphere of the place. Unfortunately a week later i had wanted to come for my own birthday after our dinner at sabor but the place was too busy to acoomodate us. That's definitely a downfall for Friday and Saturday evenings. Also remember if you're coming down to have some drinks and food, that the prices are a bit higher than most. I'd definitely come back Moreso for special occasions!

Yelp
Popped in on a Friday evening with the hopes of getting a table or a seat at the bar. Inside the place is well decorated and was very busy, we were quick to be seated at the bar and drink / food menus put in front of us. The seat at the bar is the place to sit. The bartenders are a joy to watch as they mix cocktails with flair using a spray of this, a glug of that and a dash of this. It is pure theatre 4 feet in front of you and the resulting cocktails are a flavorful and aromatic. The bartenders are personable, creative, and passionate about what they are doing. We chose 3 things off the menu to go with our cocktails, a cracker and dip thing (might be new to the menu and I cant remember what it was called) which was tasty but I found the nori crackers to be not quite right for the dish. The sourdough rye pancake was good, but I am not sure it fits in with the menu or image. The best dish was the tobacco smoked triple creme brie. The brie, veg and plum combination was absolutely delicious, it was served with a side of buttered slices of house made sourdough. Maybe a bit too buttery, but still tasty. It's a small menu, we only did starters, maybe the mains are better, but we both left feeling something with the food wasn't quite right. Overall, I'd go again, maybe not for the food, but for the drinks and the cocktail theatre, and, I'd only take a seat at the bar.

Yelp
Clementine is a very special place. It's small, intimate, and takes you back to the past. I called just before 5:00 pm on Saturday night, and was able to make a reservation for 5:30 pm. When my Husband and I entered we were seated at the end of the large community table. No one arrived and joined our table until later and it gave us a perfect view of the whole restaurant- so I couldn't have been happier. The decor is beautiful. Restaurant is small with bar seating, a few 2 person tables, one long table in the middle, and a couple side tables for 2, 4 or 6. Decor throws back to art nouveau style, classic, clean and simple. I started with the Creole cocktail- rum based with hints of mint and cherry. Perfectly balanced with a punch. My Husband had a beer with the glass rinsed in absinthe. It was minty and unique. We ordered the sourdough rye pancakes to start. Completely amazing. They had fresh dill and parsley on the top, a soft mild cheese, the most flavorful ham, and grilled chard. They were light, fluffy, and the honey drizzled around added the most amazing sweetness. My Husband likened them to an amazing Mcgriddle. Haha. There was something extra special about them. For mains I had the duck. Sliced duck meat alongside a soft poached duck egg sitting in a broth with mushrooms and a bit of pickled veggies. The duck was cooked perfect, crispy but tender with a bit of fat on there. The egg was a perfect soft poach. Mushrooms added a deep earthy feel. Broth was so flavourful- good enough to drink. My Husband had an Icelandic cod not on the online menu. It had pickled black radish with peas and pods on the side. The cod had an Oyster sauce and was rich and buttery. My Husband was not a fan of the radish but I would say it's a personal taste thing as I found they were zingy and complex. For dessert we got the Jacek chocolate with green foam, cookies and plums. Fruity, texture, high quality chocolate and a floral kinda note. Very good. We also got the cheesecake with berries- not on the online menu. Had a bit of a whip on top. Low risen cheesecake with a Graham sort of base. Moist. Light. Not dense. Earthy. Berries tasted rich and foresty if that makes sense. Savour dessert. Not for everyone but better than any restaurant dessert I've had in the past year. Some things to be aware of: A little bit on the pricier side but worth it for the quality. The dishes come as they are ready. If you do not share you may not be eating together. Our server let us know this once we arrived so I do not subtract anything about our experience because of this. This is a longer dining experience. Take your time and enjoy your company. They don't have coffee!!!!! Just cold brew. But I did have a lovely tea. Servers were passionate, knowledgeable and just the right amount of attentive. We had a beautiful night and I hope you do too.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday Friday night for cocktails. Great atmosphere. Nice and cozy but not congested. Excellent...excellent cocktails. Many options to choose from the menu. Very skillful bartender. He can whip up anything you want as well that is off the menu. You can tell him what some of your must have ingredients and he will transform that into a glass of magic for you. Great hang out and date spot!

Yelp
What a fabulous quaint little bar! I really enjoyed the ambience of the place. It is very modern-chic with some vintage elements. Definitely takes on some French characteristics with the decor and lighting which is fitting as they serve an abundance of French Absinthe and some French wine. If that does not tantalize your palate than they have a full bar of many other spirits to make you happy. This is definitely on my list of great date places. Their menu is small but delicious and it does change depending on the season. They serve small plates that are great for sharing. Be aware that the prices are more on the expensive side, especially for the portion you receive. We tried a few of the vegetable dishes and the cheese dishes. Unfortunately, I did not take note of the names as they were different from what is currently published in their menu on their website. We had a roasted vegetable dish that was probably one of my favourites. There were beets, parsnips, carrots among many other flavourful veggies grilled to perfection with delicious seasoning. The cheese dishes were not what I expected. The menu lists the types of cheeses that would suggest that it will be served as a cheese platter but it is not the case. The dish we chose had 4 different cheeses mixed into a bed of noodles. It was fabulous as noodles and cheese are 2 of my favourite things! Service was very professional and on point. Our server was very accommodating with our questions and made some great suggestions. She was never far if we needed anything. Be sure to come early as there is only seating for 36 patrons so it can fill up quickly. I will definitely come back to try the absinthe and maybe some more food items. Unfortunately, because it is on the more expensive side, I don't see this being my regular go to place. However, as a treat it is a lovely space to get lost in time and have great conversation.

Yelp
Ever since moving to Edmonton from Vancouver, I was on a search for a hip cocktail bar with good food and great cocktails. I haven't had the food at Clementine, so I can't speak to that. However, I was blown away by their drinks. The bartender is very knowledgeable and was more than willing to share his expertise. From traditional cocktails (read: old fashioneds and negronis) to their own creations, they have an amazing selection of cocktails as well as your usual beer, wine, ciders, and spirits. Their ambiance was definitely what I was looking for. Their decor is hip and vintage, and they do a great job transporting you to another time and place. I don't know my time periods, but it certainly felt like I was thrown into a time machine and ended up somewhere else. All in all, it's a cocktail bar worth visiting, and I will definitely go back to try some of their food.

Yelp
All these new spots popping up on the yeg food scene bring joy to my heart and light to my life! Located on the less happenin' part of Jasper ave, I was almost a little apprehensive as to what the place would be like (thinking to myself - if it sucks we can just go to bru). It turned out to be a great place to catch up with one of my best friends. It was cute, intimate (even though we sat on the end of a communal table), and all the staff were very friendly! We were only there for drinks and the server delivered when I asked him to recommend something minty and exciting. I ended up with the Pavel which is a fun twist on a tasty mojito. But at the end of the day it was still a mojito. My friend asked for something fruity but not sweet and she got the Carousel. I had definite drink envy, not because mine was bad, but because hers was more exciting. At the end of the evening and everyone was clearing out, our server took cute 'candid' pics at the bar and they ended up being post worthy. I'd love to go back in the day time when it's less dark inside so I can know what colour the walls are!

Yelp
Sure to impress Clementine is classy & cool. You'll find a mix crowd of well dressed patrons. I like to stop in for an artfully mixed cocktail before moving onto other plans in downtown Edmonton. Clementine specializes in cocktails, sherry & more. Their bartenders are top of their class answering all our questions on distilleries, Sister drinks to other drinks and the list goes on. A lot of fun, don't be afraid to ask questions, chatting it up, if the staff are not busy. If you'd like to impress you date, dress up, step out & start at Clementine!

Yelp
Went to this place a couple days ago after hearing about their amazing drink menu. Their bartender is a magician! The drinks did not disappoint - they're a bit pricey, but I got lucky and went on Tuesday for their $9 drink special. The main focus is their drink menu, but they also serve appetizers. The oysters were really fresh and the sourdough bread was pretty tasty. I also had a brownie for a late night treat and to be honest I was a little disappointed as it was cold and very dense. Not the warm fluffy brownie I was expecting. Overall the food wasn't bad, but not something I would go out of my way to recommend. The space had a cozy hipster vibe. Some areas were a bit cold and I can see the limited seating and parking being an issue on weekends. The area they keep coats is low to the ground and the jackets end up touching the dirty floor! The service was also lacking a bit. I was greeted right away and he offered to take my coat, but he didn't come by the table very often to see if I needed anything else and it took a while to finally flag him down to get the bill. I'd give them 5 stars for the drinks, but because the good and service weren't the best I'm giving them 4 stars.

Yelp
We were thrilled with our visit to Clementine last Friday. The ambience was cozy & lovely, the bartenders and waitress we're very friendly and had great cocktail recommendations when we wanted something not on the menu. My favourite part of this bar is the bathrooms .. I don't want to ruin the surprise!

Yelp
Food great Ambiance exceptional Decor and music unique with a hint of hipster makes this place fun. Myself not a hipster but genuinely favorable atmosphere. But when it came to pay.............holy smokies. Almost had to take out a second mortgage. I feel that at $50 this is a 5 star, at least for Edmonton. With my bill around $75 then having to hit another restaurant on the way home to have supper, not likely to return. How many times in your life do you spend $75 for supper, then have to goto a second place to actually have supper. Portions are tapas therefore expected to be small. Don't get me wrong, plates were full of flavor, distinct culinary skill and color but just plain and simple twice the price of what the market will bear. Or at least what I'm willing to dish out. Would go back again, again and again. But for $75 can take my wife elsewhere two times.

Yelp
Interesting new addition to the hip Edmonton Gastropub scene. Beautifully decorated bar/restaurant like something from New Orleans or the back streets of Paris. Lots of interesting cocktails and Absinthe on the menu. We ordered a French Absinthe which came with a lengthy explanation and a beautiful decanter. Food is very unusual with unusual ingredients--we had to look a few things up. Some was very good, like the duck breast and the Rye pancake with Jambon de Paris. Some was overly fussy. Service was good, prices a bit high. The one serious drawback is how noisy it is--they need carpet badly. Also, older people will get very uncomfortable sitting on the bar stools if they don't get a table. Worth a try but I will not rush back. I think I am not hip enough.

Yelp
Great cocktails, knowledgable staff, beautiful atmosphere. Try before you die on Tuesday is the best deal in the city.

Yelp
Best cocktails in the city. One of their options is to give your liquor of choice and the bartender makes a custom cocktail based on your preferences. The one I received was DELICIOUS. Everything I asked for plus more. The vibe in here is also chill and trendy. It's a small space but adds to the quaint nature of the space. The pancakes on the menu were also delicious. My friend ordered the cheesecake and it was not what she was expecting.

Yelp
Fantastic. Clementine reminds me of a New York bistro. Tiny bit with tons o atmosphere. Hubby started with a yummy gin cocktail and I had the featured digestif. Jesse, our server recommended both based on our likes. We had the grilled carrots with sunflower butter as a starter. They recommend sharing the plate. Dinner was the pate en croute and the pork. OMG. Fabulous. I tried the vodka drink. It was yummy too. Dessert was a shared flourless chocolate brownie served with ice cream misted with scotch. I'd go back just for that. Service was well paced and extremely knowledgeable. A great place for after work drinks or a easy dinner.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I feel about this place. The room is beautiful and I'm sure they are trying to go for an Art Deco look from a Paris cafe. But I feel like there are things missing. Where are the cheeses, the bread, the olives, antipasto and pickles, the mussels? These are staples from every French cafe but absent from their menu. My friend and I shared the cod which was quite nice, but tiny. We also had the goat cheese and crackers which was interesting but not what I expected. Add to that two cocktails and the total came to $60 before tax and tip. So not cheap. The cocktails were definitely a forte. I'm not sure I will try it again, but it's definitely worth trying.

Yelp
Hey Clementine, I have been on a mission to discover my favourite cocktail bar and you win! I am a trying customer to your staff and they have always exceeded my expectations. I regularly ask your bartenders to go off book and make me something special- they have always delivered. There is no one else out there like you. Thanks for doing what you do.

Yelp
I came, I saw, I didn't really care for it. I was really excited to try this place out for the first time last week, as I've read so much hype about it. I will say their cocktails are fantastic (and I'm not really a go for drinks kind of person). The food we tried was pretty meh for us, the mushrooms on toast I did like, but would prefer warmed mushrooms on top (just personal preference for me). The savoury pancakes looked and sounded amazing, but I was really turned off by the texture. The food stuck to the roof of my mouth and almost my throat, that just killed it for me. If I liked cocktails more, I would return for them.

Yelp
If you like cocktails, okay. They use a jigger. If you like wine, you're going to watch a bartender stumble to pour a proper glass. Three visits and they still haven't figured out what a sidecar is and I'm not talking about the cocktail.

Yelp
Prior to covid, this French Tapas bar was easily one of the finest hipster locations in the city. The service was second to none with their dress uniform presentation equally as delightful. Unfortunately and maybe understandably, Clementine has slid from 5-3 stars. First of all the drinks are the same lovey concoctions. However the staff dress code has gone from elegant to blah casual. Although we find the service still quite good, at one meeting, the server talking about some other customers, used the F word a number of times and a-- holes to describe them. Really not what we expected. The food is still fairly consistent, with the exception of some items which changed such as the crispy potatoes with it's popular sauce, which now became an unpleasant flavour. Told management which agreed, said they would address the issue and apologized. Next time it was still the same. How do you change something so drastically and not know how to change it back? And the delightful French jazz and eclectic groovy music typically heard in this rustic beautiful French 1930s decorum, has now at least the two times we have been recently, been replaced with loud top 40 dance. Who's idea was this? Regardless, someone there is making some poor presentation decisions as of late which will not help paralleling the previous 5 star presentation prior to covid. Hopefully this is recognized and addressed, if not, how sad. Unless they want to move towards a different crowd.

Yelp
We had come in with a table of six and left with the worst customer service every received at a dinning establishment.

Yelp
The atmosphere is very nice. The service was also excellent. I was disappointed with the food flavor and value.

Yelp
This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite downtown Edmonton hot spots. Cocktails are on point every time, Absinthe is on special for happy hour, the food is refined and really really damn good overall. Highlights were the stuffed pancakes which came with a ton of bacon and the goat cheese acorn squash. Great experience with the staff who helped pare down our choices to ensure we had a great experience.

Yelp
Felt and looked like an overpriced Teddy's minus the VLTs. If I'm gonna pay $6.50 for a glass of sparkling water, I better be able to throw a couple bucks into a machine!

Yelp
Great cocktails, the Cabana is an amazing blend of smoke, savoury and flavour explosion! The Suzette rocked with a fantastic bitterness that I adored.

Yelp
For the price this place charges you would expect better customer service. We ordered 2 meals and waited 1.5hrs for only 1 to arrive....we were the first table seated and the place wasn't even busy!! The waiter didn't seem to care. I asked for the bill to pay for what we did receive just to get rude service.....hence absolutely NO TIP!!! We did not get any reason, apology or compensation for our missing meal. As someone that lives in the building, the fumes from Clementines is disgusting which makes me wonder what they are cooking because it certainly wasn't my dinner entre!!! I am happy to say I will not be returning and will advise anyone else to rethink coming here.

Yelp
Great cocktails and a nice cozy atmosphere, however the service was extremely unprofessional. We were so disappointed. Would recommend spending your money elsewhere in the city.

Yelp
Gorgeous little space. Lots of attention paid to the decor details, and there clearly was a vision for a special place. The bar setup has a serious wow factor. I only came for a drink and was impressed with what was on the menu. Service was helpful and friendly. All was on track to be a perfect experience until the "ventilation problems" of the place revealed themselves. I've never quite experienced anything like it before. Air heavy with food smells, sure. But air so heavy that eyes burn? As though it's smoke you're contending with and not just the heavy aroma of sautéed garlic or sizzling bacon? Not so much. I'd been informed of these problems, but I couldn't quite believe what a buzzkill they were and how happy I was to not be eating at Clementine. No plans on returning. On a very cold night, the doors were open to the outside, suggesting management is aware of the issues - I'd also been told customers have been regularly complaining. So, what gives Clementine? This is now a customer service issue, not just a ventilation one. I think a solution beyond an open door is required to make it enjoyable for Edmontonians to come and enjoy your establishment.
