Cliff Hotel & Restaurant

This is the hotel that the airline crew stay at. Rooms are bright with balcony. Service staff is friendly and attentive. Nice view from the grounds. The only big negative is the food at the restaurant. My chicken piccata was nauseating, and don't order the corned beef for breakfast if you don't want lots of onions and cabbage mixed in!

During my stay, I had the opportunity to experience both the hotel and restaurant. The service provided was excellent, and I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was quite spacious, which added to the comfort of my stay. However, I did notice some inconsistency with the restaurant's service hours. It might be beneficial to choose your meal times carefully for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and the staff's friendliness enhances the dining experience. The restaurant has both an air-conditioned indoor area and an outdoor seating option, which is great for different preferences. If you can, I recommend opting for a room with a balcony. While the views may not face the ocean, they still offer a pleasant experience. Overall, there's a lot to enjoy about this place, with some minor adjustments that could further enhance the experience.

Stayed 3 nights, nothing in room worked (phone, bathtub, room safe) except AC, was going to check out for one night, then return for another night. Decided to stay at another hotel the last night, told them at checkout that morning (30 hour's notice), they said they would refund the last night, which I had already paid for in advance. Submitted all receipts when I arrived home, after 5 days finally heard from them, never received the refund. Also was never picked up at the airport upon arrival, which I had also paid for in advance - had to beg a ride with a local family, since my phone didn't work there. They can't book anything, can't even give you directions to town (1/2 hour, VERY hot walk). NO view - photo showing here is a lie. See my photos below. (back of hotel, looks like a bombed-out ruin). Mediocre restaurant, took an hour to get anything (if they hadn't run out of it). AVOID THIS PLACE!

We went as a large group to eat at the restaurant. Getting in was a little bumpy with the first day canceled and the second day there were some communication issues with the large group order. However, when we did get in the restaurant is very nice and the food was excellent. It was definitely worth the trouble. The view from a short walk across the street is amazing also.

I stayed here for a week and the room i had (double deluxe) was very spacious and had comfy beds. The rooms are dated, especially given the price of USD130 per night, but the staff were helpful in ordering transfers, taxis, getting a hire car etc. The restaurant was hit and miss depending on who was serving you. One night I waited 2.5hrs for my dinner. Sometimes I would get served soup with my sashimi set, other times no. Just seemed a bit inconsistent. Genuinely the worst coffee I've had in my life, but one of the few places in town where you can get a fruit plate for breakfast!

Property not bookable online, as it's not on any booking platform. They do have a website, but rooms are not bookable directly. Fortunately, the management responds to inquiries reasonably quickly. The info on their website it outdated (e.g. the airport shuttle is not complimentary).||Quiet location with the exception of some barking dogs (an issue everywhere on the island). The main street is 10-15 min away on foot.||I had a standard room, which was clean, but pretty basic and dated. Still, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, there was a desk area, and two large stands (one on each side of bed). Amenities included refrigerator and safe; unfortunately the latter was locked, but I didn't complain since I wasn't planning to use it. No electric kettle. Plenty of power sockets, including two on each side of the bed. Those by the desk were inconveniently located under the desk. ||Small bathroom with badly stained shower curtain. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Bath towel only, no hand towel provided.||Wifi worked well.||There is an on-site restaurant, although vegetarian options are very limited.||Overall a reasonable place for the place paid.

I stayed there 2 nights but I had a great stay. While the rooms are basic - it is most likely the best value for money in Pohnpei. Staff is super friendly. They helped me organise taxis and tours around. The restaurant has amazing food!

Great hotel which we booked for one night. The staff was friendly. Easiest way to get around is by taxi. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Some of the outlets were loose making it hard to plug in your devices. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. Great value! The wifi was also quick, our room was above the front desk. I would come here again.
